And the city skyline view is from Ren's flat in Calgary, where he's been receiving treatment for the damage to his brain & body that the Lyme caused. This was the result of the disease going untreated/misdiagnosed for so many years.
I love your take on Ren's music. One thing I have noticed is that duality is always baked into his music. Even the lighting here shows duality. Half his face in blue half in red. So many meanings here. None of it is coincidence. Red & Blue are considered opposites but also Red stands for courage and strength and blue for contemplation and wisdom. 😮

First things first I love your reactions generally but especially to Ren.
What you said at the end really resonated with me, I made some really bad choices in my youth and I have beat myself up over it ever since. When you said “we didnt have all the information then” I nearly cried. I should explain I’m a 67yr old father to two and grandfather to four. I have lived a good life, being kind to others and supportive of the less fortunate. However that dark shadow has hung over me all these years, maybe now is the time to finally let go and start to try and like myself again. I never would have thought it possible that by simply listening to a CZcams reaction it would have such a profound effect on me. Thank you sooo much for allowing me to see things in a different light, I am really really grateful 😊
This being human is life school, it's not called 'be perfect and then die' so please take your beautiful lessons from your stumblings like gold nuggets in a pile of shit, and then live your truth loudly! In what ways does it feel good to give back to your family? friends? community? In that space you will find more purpose and hope. Your are allowed to reinvent and shed old parts of yourself at anytime dear human. Be kind to yourself.
I just turned 65, and also made bad choices when I was a teenager and young adult. Also beat myself up and punished myself for a long time. Then suddenly I realized that by punishing myself I was keeping myself down, "hiding my light under the bushel," living my "worst life," and hurting everyone else around me in the process. It didn't cause me to shift my life in a better direction overnight, but it did help me get on a path leading in that direction. I even started to gain a sense of purpose and meaning in the last few years, even though I'm an older dude. 😂 I'm definitely a late bloomer, but one of my new mottos is "Better late than never."

Enjoy Ren's Train, he's like the head of Orient Express of music. There would be no Orient Express if there was no sight you could admire through the window. And scenery is constantly changing. The one sure thing is this train and this journey. :)

REN said that he saw Fred Again in Los Angeles and he played Angie (I’m lost song) and it broke him. That those few lines summed up 10 years of his life fighting to find out what was wrong with him. Yes REN is totally authentic and connects with so many people. He is the most important artist of our time.
Knowing about how much Ren has gone through and still going through ( he is not cured ) and still deals with ailments. I can only imagine his struggles and doubts that he has to accept as a normal way of life. Maybe I have to much empathy but I feel him struggling but NOT giving up !!
Love your reaction--and subbed! Of all of Ren's most emotional songs, this is the one that hits me the hardest, especially when he starts the "i've been lost" part and twice pauses to look away and collect himself. Each time he does that, I feel it deep in my chest. And then when he continues on with some of the best, heartfelt singing I've ever heard--strumming the guitar hard--my floodgates are released each time. 😭
Ren is no doubt the greatest artist alive, sure there could be better rappers there could be better singers better instrument players.. but this guy can do every single one of those things and do it amazingly… when he does the ‘I been lost’ part and goes from singing to basically talking and you can hear so much emotion in his voice I love this so much I wish he would come out with a double disc album one disc being all rap songs, and the second disc being some of his rap turned to singing and ofcourse original stuff too! IMO he’s the greats music artist alive!!!

So I’ve seen a pattern of therapist I’ve dated all of them didn’t have a therapist. Which to me seems so backwards but do you have therapist?

Well, *the* song is not really *a* song because it's an arrangement of 5 songs from a different artist (completely different genre). When I view it as a mashup, and I look at the guitar skills, and the haunting vocals, etc., for me it's not awful. It's beautiful. But each to their own I guess 🤷🏻♀️
