S2:E10 - Vulnerability and Parts Work with Keilani
True story. The first time I saw this I was about to start high school. My father was never in my life really. I saw the episode on Nick at Night and cried through it. The next day my grandmother knocked on the door. “Do you know who this is?”, she said. She was standing there with my father. He wanted to come back into my life and explain to me what had happened. Ultimately it didn’t workout, but I do have reasons to believe he may not even be my father. Not the happiest story, but life isn’t the movies.
You might not see this but I hope you do can you do a reaction to Come what may by Imminence it’s a heavy song like screams and stuff like that but the lyrics are just…yeah…. I hope you do a reaction to it I really do 🥺
Anyone thinking about this or has lost someone to this go watch “try again” by “seein” it stopped me when I had a gun in my head ready to go somewhere else and it came across my recommendations.
Hands down top 3 acting scenes of all time. Incredible
Don’t you just love it when a video gets you hooked and in tune with your emotions. It starts to build and build and the second right before it reaches that crest, CZcams throws a T-Mobile ad? This is ridiculous
This was a real reaction because the relationship between will smith and his father
One of the greatest scenes in television history.
sadly every man is in this conflict. A massive amount have chosen to end their lives due to no body ever caring. We have received so much disrespect and defeat yet we are supposed to just accept it.
I almost did it a few years ago. I found out the length of rope needed for my body weight to make it instant. I had the rope and learnt to tie it the right way. I knew where I was going to do it and I was 1 night away from the end. The thing that stopped me was the thought of how it would effect my Mum. My little sister had made multiple failed attempts to overdoseyears before, and more since, and it hurt so much. I would hold everything in when she made her attempts because mum was hurting enough, then I would find somewhere far away from anyone and just breakdown in tears. I couldn't put her through more pain, so after I decided not to go through with it I made a promise to myself that as long as my mum is alive, I will stay alive. Things got better after a while but times have been hard this year and that feeling is back. Honestly, I dont want to be alive right now
This was one of the most gut wrenching scenes in the series. I recall seeing that for the first time back in the day. This is right up there with Florida Evens breaking the glass bowl on Good Times.
Directed by Robert Redford. Best Picture. Best Director.
Good fathers are just as important as good mothers. I am so glad I had amazing father. My father was my "Yoda". He held me accountable for my actions, but also loved guided me. I love the Uncle Phil let him let it out. Uncle Phil was his true "father". He loved Will. Being a father isn't about blood. It is about being present and making your children feel loved, but also guided and discipline instilled. Guiding them through their ups and downs.
This scene is what made me love Uncle Phil even more
I like how uncle Phil is an imposing figure throughout the run of the show. But also has a soft heart. He is not abusive at all. He just has that ability to demand respect. But in a situation like this, he knew how to be sensitive.
The tears are real and the how come he don't want me man was ad l libbed. Will was referring to his real father not lou.
I must’ve seen this show it’s in entirety at least 6 times, and this clip at least a dozen times, and I tear up every single time. Outstanding performance from Will and James.
I eont usually get teary eyed or anything when watxhing tv shows/movies but this scene does bring tear to my eyes as its such a powerful scene
Love this damm scene. Never gets old such raw emotional connection to what people actually go through that man that played Uncle Phil was so amazing I lost my father at 13 even though he was in my life and loved me it still hits when you know growing up you dont have a father. Tears me up evertime
Pink floyd mother
Something I just realized after countless times hearing this song is he said I will be the only person I can blame WHEN you desert me. He says when not if which means he never expects anyone to stay.
You should definitely react to Skitz kraven Mama's Husband Great Song Great Video Great Artist
Gets me every time
When Will starts breaking down, I started crying and shaking IRL. This hits way too close to my own story 😢 Way too close. I wish my sperm donor and his wife and their kids would see this episode
The part before this where Uncle Phil tries to warn Will about his father going to flake out and Will gets angry at Uncle Phil and yells "what the hell do you know, you are not my father!" dang..that wrecked me when I saw that growing up lol. 1st time I cried to a TV show
It's a script lady, its not real. Also, The title got me, I seen "The Rapist Reacts" I was curious.
James avery hugged him and said "now thats fuckin acting"
RIP Uncle Phil
this scene is the expiation on why Will refuses to leave his toxic family. He doesn't want to be like the dad that left him even if leaving would benefit him. SO he just stays with Jada and hates life.
It's frowned upon to reach out for help in my country.
🥺😭 still gets me. Powerful scene
🙏🏻
Remember seeing this as a kid, still makes me she’s a tear to this day
Please look into Front Porch Step.
This is a clip that stayed with me. I never really had a good family. My mother chose bad apple after bad apple. Grew up with abuse that my mother didn't support but brought in to our home so many times. It wasnt until a few years ago I realized she too was abusive in so many different ways. My father was an alcoholic but he wasn't necessarily "abusive", just not fit or ready for parenthood. He lost custody rights when I was young and I havent seen him since. My family isnt really a family. My older brother is a broken person plagued with issues from being old enough to understand and remember most of the abuse, so he's never lived a life and never will, he's tied to my mother who turned him in to her depedant to which he exists solely to help her life. I was able to help my little brother more, who is the only one I have contact with, my mother and older brother now being people I dont consider family as they're far too toxic and too far gone to change or help themselves. It was through this I realized what my purpose in life is. My purpose is to be the start of a true family, to set things right, to be the parent I should have had, to not leave my family as was left of me and my brothers, to start anew. Hopefully, within the next two years, my partner and I will have our family started.
The best scene in sitcom history
I've been watching too many crime videos because why did I read the title as "the rapist 🤦🏾♀️"
Every time I watch this I cry like a baby
This thing hits hard for me because I've actually experienced and my father did the same to me
thank you
i love how despite being a comedy, they had these certain scenes...my fav sitcom of all time
Forget the show in here for the therapist goddam ❤❤❤😅
I tgink ill take a male psychologist
First things First rest in peace, Uncle Phil, he is the only father I ever knew
This scene made me think a lot as a kid. I was also abandoned by my father as a kid. He even did the randomly showing up from time to time thing until I was about 8. I'd say the bigger impact though is how it affects me as a father now. There's nothing I won't do for my son. I can never abandon him, and I can't understand at all how any father ever could. You'd have to literally kill me to keep me out of my son's life.
30+ years later and this scene still hits hard 😢
Try not to cry challenge: Impossible. This scene and ET ending.
Another artist you vould dive deep into is...amigo the devil. His newest album is crazy good....the mechanic, closer etc all good
If you enjoy this, you should definitely check out.Hate me by blue october
Monsters by James Blunt is a tear jerker. I love this reaction. I cried right along with you.
This to this day is the best acted scene I have ever seen. I watched this live on TV and I am now 47 and I still shed tears everytime. Both Actors are amazing.
