As far as passing people on a path, when I see people ahead, I slow down a bit. I've never had a problem with people. I also don't ride during peak times on the weekend since I'm retired.
Good for you. If more bikers were so courteous, non-cyclists will be more patient also.
I have 3 different helmet sizes. L, XL, XXL. I need them all to cover the temperature range I ride. L for warm/hot weather. XL for cool/cold weather(1 beanie/helmet liner). XXL for extreme cold(2 beanies/liners). Layers are the key to stay warm in the winter. Wool is also important for me when the temps dip below freezing. It retains its warming properties when wet.
Agreed i need a bigger helmet for when i need to wear a hood or beanie in the winter
Russ, I bought a x-large pullover sweatshirt from China. I liked the design and would have bought all three variations. But it was good I thought to try just one. I then ordered a 2x. It was still too small. Actually I think they were the same size. They just slapped whatever size on. My son who weighs 140 was able to wear the 2x. I said you are now a 2x. I ended up ordering 4x and it was a normal x-large.
😳
Russ sells hoodies now? Where is the link? Should we size up or?? What design is on front??
@keg9850 Hahaha
Yes Russ is Right. You must press Buy to see the $50 discount.
Seems like a good deal price wise. If this is what you want.
My concern is the weight. I prefer 50lbs or less. As I get older weight becomes a big issue.
In more ways than one, sometimes 😂!👍
Hi Russ. Great reporting job. One thing that I would like to see in your reviews is total bike weight. Might make a difference for a senior rider to make his/her choice.
76 lbs for the Engwe. I will try to remember to add that info for future reviews!
While your adding info in Reviews....would be interesting to have your opinion on the TIRES. I know they're mostly knobby style...but are some brands better ? Last longer? Wear faster? etc. Just suggesting! @@RussIsRight
If you're cold: use less assistance and pedal harder, and/or faster. Fix you right up!
Russ you should look into getting a soft shell jacket for cold temps like 45 degrees and below. You also may be able to find soft shell pants 😊as well. The soft shell will aid in stopping the wind from blowing through your clothes. All the best...
You know what would make an excellent video? Go out on a short ride after a small snowfall to see how the tires on a specific bike can handle the stuff on the ground. Just bundle up good.
Too risky for my replaced knee.
@@RussIsRight You need a stunt double.
@pedrofernandez8729 hahaha!
I like that camera, seeing you on the bike is good for a bit during the video. And yes, the bike loos good on you 😅❤!
😊
Hi Russ. I enjoy watching your videos. Since you like to ride fast, have you ever consider trying out the Wired Freedom bike? I heard it can throttle up to at lease 35mph and it's priced under $2000. Love to hear your thoughts and keep up the good work!
Many have asked the company to send one to me, but they don’t seem interested
I ordered it yesterday from back to modern..1099.99 with free shipping. Great deal!
I saw an ebike recently that had safety yellow panniers hanging down. That is a nice feature for the bags. I am wondering what to do for colder weather riding too, to be seen. I wear a sweatshirt with a wind breaker over it. My windbreaker is a light blue. I do have a rain cover for my Rockbros Bag that is neon green. Maybe I could put that on.
There are some reflective straps that people wear... kind of like the "Patrol Boy" belts when we were kids. Remember those? Some riders wear that. That way it's not another clothing layer. Just reflective straps.
Qual a velocidade máxima você consegue usando apenas o acelerador ?????? Obrigado
If you had to buy today would you get the step thru instead because of the high crossbar?
Do you have any idea if there are differences in stability between the two models?
I would get a step-thru. No problems with stability. They build these step-thru models to be super strong. Some handle 400 lbs or more without a problem!
Thank you Russ
I have contacting ENGWE about their E26 ebike, specifically their battery for a certificate and they responded with a
GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY (GCC), not an UL, but it’s a certification. Thank you for your review and recommendation.

Hi Russ. Been riding with you a lot lately. Just one thing -if you're not using your phone for GPS put it in your pocket? It really cuts down on the view. If Mrs.Right calls you can always pull over. We'll understand. RIDE ON!
Hard to pedal with the phone in my pocket. The view is not perfect on these past few videos since the handlebar seems a bit higher. I need to adjust the height of the camera.
For me, have my DJI mounted on my chest. Whenever am riding, sync up camera & phone & adjust as needed. Phone goes into side pocket on sling bag OR medium-sized utility case, usually used for personal first-aid kits. That way, have approximately 130-150° FOV....A-L-O-H-A from Hawaii
Hey Russ, I bought that Xnito head/ear cover like RV Enthusiast. Doesn't fit w/helmet on, not functional plus it looks funny😅So I bought a Balaclava on Amazon, covers head, ears, neck, nose and mouth optional, and fits with the helmet on too. Starting to get colder on rides so gots to bundle up. BTW I'll be your stunt double when you need one🤣🤣
👍
How often do you change gears? I use a skull cap type liner under my Xnito helmet that works very good in cold weather
For hub motors, I only shift if going up a hill. With mid-drive motor, I have to shift all the time.
I just ordered a heated vest, gloves and socks, saved $70 bucks Amazon Deals days 😊
👍
What brand did you get?
@@Mike-gv1rz Venustas Men's Fleece Heated Vest, Autocastle Heated Socks and Autocastle 7.4V Heated Gloves, I was trying to buy from a company that had all three so the batteries interchange. Very few companies make all three and the ones that did, have bad reviews on one or two of the products.
If you use one of those cheap pogo stick posts, won't that mess up your knee extension once you sit? That means I would have to raise the seat even more.
You have to have the saddle a bit higher than you might think since it will compress a bit once you sit on the saddle.
I find it amusing that here you are, a digital content creator on YT, and you still pay bills by mail.
Some companies do not accept bill payments without a "convenience" fee if you pay online. For those, I just mail the payment.
Here In Chicagoland, spring seems too long and fall and summer are too short. Naturally winter is too long. The last safety vest I purchased XL which was too small. I bought a xxxl so I can wear it over my sweatshirt, jacket or coat.
One question i have Russ is where is the battery and can it be removed/swapped out ?
The battery is the black thing on the top bar. It is removable and can be swapped out easily.
@@RussIsRight Oh wow that's pretty neat, Thanks.
Wondering if they’ve got safety vests that also double as rain gear? There’s been a few days where I got caught in the rain!
@joeroscillo4015 That would be nice. Might make it hotter though. It wouldn’t breathe.
Hey Russ! What's with the E26 monitor stating you're moving at 17mph while passing a stationary traffic radar station indicating you're doing 15mph. ? Also noted that there's no BELL on this one. And BTW I agree with another 'viewer' that the Smartphone dominates the picture at that angle/position and is distracting.
Yes, I have to check their menu to see if I can reset the tire size to see if that helps. Most bikes are off by 1-2 mph it seems. Also there is a bell. See the original review to see it.
Yup! I watched your original (pond in the background) review with the 'real' bell shaped bell on the Left side of the handlebar. However, I guess you had to remove that specific bell to install your Smartphone holder. Just noting...not critizing. Ride on !
It was behind the phone holder.
Ha Ha...but not convenient. 😉@@RussIsRight
First! Mornin' Russ.
👍😊
I use bike every day
There is a city ordinance in my city you will get a ticket from the police even the people with downs syndrome get ticketed especially if you are going against traffic
