I didn't do the F-4/trop because it was basically the same as the F-4 (plus I didn't like the skin)

The 109 G-2/trop is my best performing aircraft. I love it to bits.
The G-2 is pretty good but I prefer the K-4. To me it feels like a G-2 with heavier armament including our lord and savior MK-108
I'm pretty sure the F-4 is either equal to, or better than, the G-2/trop in most areas, though the regular G-2 is probably better than both.
@@Xiphactinus I just compared their stats in hangar, and when both are equipped with their heaviest payload, the 250kg bomb, the G-2/trop is faster and has a higher climb rate than the F-4. The only part they're equal in is turn rate.

I can recommend the song "me 109 lied" when playing as a bf 109. It boosts your skills for 500%
The 109 g2 is a chad machine. It actually has a decent climb rate unlike the rest of the 109d
U need to check the F-1 variant.

Practice in AB the you'll naturally know where to aim in air/ground Rb. Plus, do burst shot instead of continous shots
Those are literally my 2 favorite planes in the game, they just never let me down

@@AbsoluteyAmerican Have you tried the P39N? Better than oretty much anything at its tier. I can't speak for American aircraft, having not really played them, but it definitely feels like their .50 cals and Hispanos/AN42s are more lethal than the Minengechoss.

Yep. I was climbing to like 16K feet. I got there. Everyone else was dead. I was highest in the match. Got 4 kills just like that. Still lost, but shows that a competent 109 pilot could change the course of a battle if he had teammates that would help

Arcturus flying 262 is a hit or miss for me, usually a miss, usually just outclassed
Salamander is a great jet, only problem is its boring to play as its only boom and zoom, if you turn you loose energy and die

@@kilomomoangel8467 Lol yeah not to mention if XP-50s did not exist Bf109 F4 would be able of obliterating everyone in seconds. Also he went headon with everyone which is a thing inexperienced pilots do.
He really isn't. At least half of his kills were headons, anyone who takes that many (mostly unnecessary) headons isn't a good pilot.

This might seem weird but I play the bf 109 f-4 without the secondary cannons. The extra manuvebility (18.1 or something like that) at leasts helps me stand a chance against spitfires and zeros at 4.0-4.7.
Oh and the g2 is a pretty bad fighter at 4.0 its a nightmare
@@lowtier that one is 4.3 tho, I just use the F4 or G6 instead because I feel like the G2 simply doesn't shine.

Multiple times i've had an enemy bf 109 manage to spawn camo the entire team in arcade and just get 50 kills and being able to climb 2000 in mere seconds, just perfectly normal

In July 2nd 1944 During the War Thunder campaign, a pilot named Arcturus flew his Tropical Painted BF 109 G2 and killed about 30 to 40 planes in one game. THE most chad WT gameplay I've seen all day

Every time I play the bf 109 f4 a random XP-50 in the fucking stratosphere comes down and shits on me.
Yes same here XP-50 air spawn should be removed and the plane would still be very strong
You can dive and make him dive as well he stiffens up a lot and then use the German airbrake that's honestly the only thing you can do
You really need to learn not to head on and actually turn away from them when they get destroyed. So many of those deaths of yours were avoidable.
I know I have to not do that but I find it funny to do so

To clarify, I don't FCH anymore, I only do it when I know I'm gonna die and want to go out fighting (i.e. when I'm in a 1vX scenario and wounded)

Legendary plane biased by spitfire it was better version of spitfire but lack of engine parts and lack of good quality oil made its engine produce much less power than it can be
I really loved the Bf-109 F4 researched the G-2 and skipped it for the G-6. The G-6 is so much worse and its repair cost is almost triple the f4s.
Git Gud, G-6 is amazing when spaded and 3x 30mm guns. Learn to not turnfight and use more BnZ instead
@@joeeemama1906 I haven't played the plane since but i don't see why you would use the 30mm and not the 20mm when they have more ammo and better velocity, also bnz doesn't really work vs good players and i don't see the argument when the F-4 wich is 0.7 br below has better turning+ climb . Also the spitfires that play on those brs don't have that much worse climbing so you will find that energy fighting doesn't always work.

i just don't get how people kill enemy aircraft without the leading marker. plus i don't even know how to delete it.
You have to watch where your tracer bullets are going and adjust your aim accordingly
realistic battles gamemode is how, there is no leading marker there
Please do a part 3 with the k4 variant and others PLEASE!
How do you deal with head-ons so well? When I do it my pilot gets sniped by a random shot.
I am not him, but as far as i remember, for that one shouldnt be just straight, for like the 1 km or more, already shoot if you known the bullets fall, and dont fly so predictable for them, maybe a bit higher or lower and when you think you should, target him and prepare to dodge and try to survive
But better try you own tricks lets say, a fake dive and go to the sides to make hard to hit the wings, or use as example bf things as the nose cone as protection going up (that saved me a lot of times)

make sure you're going faster than the guy your diving on or he'll just chase you up and kill you
Spiral climb sometimes it's better to break off before you over shoot and don't immediately go straight back up get some distance then go back up if he can pitch back up you force it into a a spiral climb
Back in the day when Minengeschoss wasn't garbage and actually good on 109's.

what ammunition do you use ??
For the F4, I’m using universal for the 30cals and purely air targets (for the glorious mine shells) on the 20mm. The mine shells on the cannons are lethal as hell

It was 400 meters at the time I believe. I now use 700 meters for planes with centerline guns, and 400 meters for planes wing mounted guns

It depends on what you want to do. Fw is better for boom and zoom, bf109 is better at energy fighting and turn fighting.

I still bring my 109 F4 trop to 5.3 and I can still control the skies if the enemy planes is not more than 2
