I see the Bf 109 G-6 like a mini Bf 109 K-4, it's a solid all rounder and it's at good BR as well. One of my favourite 109 for sure

Don't bother with the g14 go straight for the k4
Also grind the tier 4 engine mods . Those give a massive boost . Use in ground rb to take out air targets and get engine mods that way
warning germany isnt as op as before at 4.3 to 5.7
Mix of newer pilots ,bomber spam and changed matchmaking

@@zathary564 absolutley, plus I feel like war thunder plays great as a ww2 dogfighting game. The games engine sucks at super sonic speed
actually in real life jets use the same mechanics as prop planes because aerodynamics and laws of physics do not change when you use jet engines, however in war thunder its all fake and jet engines are like ufos, also many players just dont know how to fly jets properly, and on top of that DCM just has the better simulator and you should see jet dog fights on youtube when people fly DCM especially when its real actual or former jet pilots. Its much more exciting.

That dogfight in the beggining is why i can't quit this game, came back after a few months to fly the mk 2 tempest and got into a 5 minutes dogfight with a f2g-1 that ended in me getting third partied just when i was gonna get the shot, still was fun af
1v1 dogfights against a good player are the most satisfying part of this game. The second most satisying being snapshot/deflection kills :p
the problem is time wasted in loading screens and the hangar, spending 4 minutes in a game, and almost 2 minutes just waiting around doing nothing. They need to optimize matchmaking to last longer, or have multiple rounds or something so we don't waste so much time out of action.

I absolutely love the G-6, I hardly ever lose to mustangs and spitfires in it and the Fw 190 C because I fight against the actual ww2 versions of those planes
G6 is my least favourite of all 109s, it has the least pwr. G2 and g14 are much better in my opinion

I really like the G6 because of its lion gain and its armament
G6 gets the best match making. For example K4 is a better plane but you will face 6.0/6.3 planes the majority of your games and have small teams.
G14 and g2 are much better. G6 is just so heavy, it doesn't climb

What do you mean? Unless you're stock, all rank 4 109's can consistently get to 6km of alt by the time enemies start getting spotted on most maps, if you climb right
And considering the G6 is at 4.7, it easily outclimbs the entire competition, with the exception of the XP-50, Lightning or other interceptors, but even then you're more than likely to be on the same alt or slightly higher. The G6 may be a bit of a brick but it sure as hell is more maneuverable than twin engine interceptors. Go headon at high speed, (think 350kmh to 450kmh) dodge it, drop landing flaps, turn in on the plane (if you enter the headon from above, then do a vertical loop, if you enter from below, then turn in such a way that resembles a High Yoyo (i think thats what its called? You point your nose slightly upwards during the turn so that you're in a slight dive once you make a full 180⁰) and if they try Turning in on you as well, then hose them down, if they're turning better than you, then roll out of the way of their guns and force them slower until you bleed all their energy. If they start running, instead of turning in on you, then follow them, they may be slightly faster, but thats fine, keep your speed up (shallow dives at about -5 degrees to get more, since acceleration is crap) and exploit the hell out of your climb rate to get way above them, while you're on their tail. Dont worry about the gap widening, once you're above, you can dictate the fight. If they're going to try and engage you, they need to bleed a ton of their energy to turn around, plus they'll need to climb, as you are now above them, bleeding even more of their energy, while you still have a ton of your own energy. If you play it right, you will either shoot them down, or bait them lower or to the deck, making them an easy kill
But this is just my experience, idk, maybe it won't apply to you

Love this aircraft. It’s my highest scoring plane and I just feel like the g6 flies different in comparison to the other 109. I’ve used gun pods for most of my time in it I’ve just leaned away from them and I’m working on my skills with just the single engine mounted 20mm

I think the C-10 is better (besides the guns) than the other P-51 variants until the D-30. it's lighter and that really helps in dogfights

Consistently getting 4 kill games in this thing. Very fun to use.
Mainly its important to stick to teammates. Becasue no matter hkw high uou climh, you arent gonna be defeating multiple enemies. And most of the time some interceptors gonna be higher than you. This is just my experienxe and could just be my skill issue

i adore the MK 108 this thing can carry. if the MG 151 is deadly than the MK 108 is death itself, one hit and the enemy bursts out in flames
I can't manage manual engine control, but you also have gears and cannon for a little bit airbrake
Seems like u are using some kind of zoom onto planes. Where to set it up? Wanna test this out cuz zoom shooting makes some trouble to me so usually im shooting without zoom

doing a lot of jet grind on the US tech tree, going back to unlock jets on german tech tree and i really out of play. getting too familiar with 900+ speed and playing prop planes really throw me off
I quite enjoy the 109g6 with all the 30mms and stealth ammo. tap in a head on and you can basically get a free kill :)

10:38 how did you changed your radiator settings ? I can do it on p47s and yaks , but when i try it on bf109s beside using the MEC . It says to me that you can't use the radiators when auto mode is enabled .But I'm using the Manual as i stated earlier . So , is there any way i can fix this/ make it fuction ?
You have to enable the auto/maunal function in the mec itself, it's another control
Once you enable Manual Engine Controls, you also have to separately enable Manual Radiator Controls and/or Manual Prop Pitch. If those are toggleable, then they will be turn on to be auto-managed by default. Whether they are toggleable or not depends on the plane, so, with earlier BF-109, make sure you don't overrev your engine with a high prop pitch just by turning on MEC to try to fiddle around with the radiators.

I prefer the 30mm gun in the nose because it actually kills people without needing 6-7 direct hits. I just don't have the aim to keep my guns on target in most cases. especially not in the G6
I used to run MG151 in the K-4 for ages but MG151 just felt really inconsistent to me lately so I switched to MK 108. Definitely worth it IMO.

Hey Defyn great content very informative as usual but I was wondering how do you pull off those snap rolls in the G-6? Especially at low speeds, does the rudder really enable you to roll that fast?
holding the rudder accelerates your roll significantly and indeed is the only way to get any appreciable roll at high angles of attack / low speed.
Adding rudder in a roll increases the speed of the roll. At low speed especially HOWEVER you should test snap rolls in each plane you fly because some planes really don't like snap rolls while others perform better with them
@@dsdy1205 I was aware of that "trick" I have just flown the G-6 a lot and never managed to do it with it xd. The heavier 109s tend to "lock" mid roll at low speeds (roll speed drops considerably when the 109 is upside down) and thats the only occasion where I managed to use the rudder effectively.

Planes like the c205 and yaks are extremely sensitive
109s are pretty easy to manage if you just kinda tap it

Well of course you have trouble with it, it's horendous. Just fly the D-28 instead, its much better and at a lower BR

how can you maneuver the aircraft and at the same time watch around? Do you use a joystick?
On PC, key bindings make a huge difference. I think the default is for W and S to be throttle. Change throttle to something else like shift and ctrl, and you can use W and S for pitching the nose up and down. You can use the keyboard inputs to control the plane while you're using the mouse for the camera. A and D roll left and right. Q and E are for the rudder.
Not sure how it works for console
Are the high end 109s good, they seem like they get outperformed by the F4Us, Spitfires, Ta, etc.

Could I ask why stealth belt on 20mm instead of air target? I run the reverse with air target on the 20mm and stealth on the MG’s so I can see my canon shots. Is that the wrong way to do it?
Preference mostly
The 13MM belts are better with IAI than stealth and the 20mm stealth/air are largely the same
additionally, I like scaring people with tracers and then only using the cannon at times so they don't dodge

I realized that my main error in situations like the f6f was that I would rather air brake than go back up trying to outpower my enemy. I might come with huge energy advantage and suddenly drop it all with 100% pitch and 25 percent throttle in a desperate attempt to get a reversal. This tip shows what to actually do, thank you and GG
Whenever i try to fly my 109’s which i have the highest k/d and wins in nowadays, the teams die quicker than allied teams used to, idk whats going on
Everyone dives after one target like the fucking seagulls from finding Nemo or turn or make a move that causes them to loose energy. Many people just don’t understand the plane, they make the right moves at the wrong times.

The G-6 wasn't a performer for me, seemed to heavy compared to other 109s.
It's more of a boom n zoom plane. It has a better engine than the g2, but it turns way worse. It really depends on your play style.

IAI (yellow shit) does the most damage in my experience but stealth is alright if it affects your 20mm aim too much

IAI was good and my prefered ammo for MG131 but since last Patch UP MG131 is nearly useless, hurts the late 109 most because only one MG151/20 but Fw190A-8/F-8 and Doras are ok because you dont rely on only one 20mm Canon

@@_GODSFIGHTER MG131 was abit OP the last time especially the Ju-288s slaughtered with that weapon . At start of the game 10 years ago it was weak and last year it was op now its weak again but to be fair it wasnt the best weapon /ammo in Real life in WW2.
Iam a bit pissed because they buffed and nerfed alot weapons over the past years 0.50 cals , Hispanos , its a joke in Forum that they have only 2 Settings for Weapons , to weak and to OP ;)
