The long gun is criminally underrated. I took it in my 4.7 line up and slapped some tiger 1s and is1s with it, absolutely brilliant.
The higher the tier the weaker it gets until.....you crest into modern era most modern mbts have little side armor meaning you can long gun folks 8 br higher than you

There are 4 types of Japanese tech tree players
-Banzai Committer (Loyal servant of the Emperor, will be playing older lower tier vehicles, and loves war crimes. May have a habit of staying at lower tiers due to lack of interest in the post WW2 Japanese military. Probably has Battotai or Taiko drums blasting in the background as he plays.)
-JSDF Fanboy (Plays later era ground vehicles especially and adores modern Japanese hardware, but connection to the lower tiers means they typically still have a bit of banzai energy in them or maybe even adore banzai energy as much as they do the modern vibes. Likely has seen too many Godzilla movies to cause their modern appreciation though. Probably as a result also listens to Godzilla military marches constantly while playing with said vehicles.)
-The Weeaboo (The most boring and probably widespread class of Japanese players, their one and main reason of playing is Otaku reasons. Will typically be playing low tier vehicles as most leave War Thunder before they get higher tier vehicles due to the game’s inherent lack of otaku culture regarding Japan. But will undoubtedly have the anime helicopter if they get to that point. Likely playing anime openings or lofi in the background.)
-IJN Enthusiast (Often overlapping with the Banzai players due to the historic significance of the navy for Imperial Japan. This rare breed of player has the drive to main the Japanese naval tree despite the situation of War Thunder’s low naval player count. Despite this, they continue to grind for them cruisers with the hope Gaijin adds in the Yamato at one point. Likely blasting Battlestations music.)

Ticking 3 of em, fuck the first one since ww2 IJA tanks are for masochists. IJA tanks are made to gun down squishy infantry and maybe compete with Shermans, not KVs and Tigers.

Im currently on the sabre and almost unlocked rank 6 ;) from my experience japan was one of the most fun nations i played
Ohhh nice, the t-2 and EJ Kai are very fun, but the R2Y2’s are surprisingly fun to play as well
I started playing Japan because of the R2y2 but I didnt make it, I however stayed to play with the J2m2 and it was fun, climbing related maneveurs are pretty easy to understand and perform when compared to more advanced dogfighting

the shimakaze is a pretty short grind for a squadron vehicle, plus its pretty fun

recently mained japan 2 weeks ago and farmed 9 medals. All I could say that the playstyle's fun since the tree's mediocre, but still, it's hella fun (peaked 6.3 and grinding for more).

However I found the later Type 74 to be an absolute bane just because they're 8.7 which is enough to be downtiered with TURMS and other shitfesting premiums
As I'm currently smashing my head through my desk as an Italy main, I'm basically flipping a coin on which nation I want to dedicate a significant portion of time to, Japan or China. I'm just now researching Rank V China and spading 6.3/7, and I'm still spading 4.7 with Japan. I really want to get both up to top-tier at some point, but that's a long way out.
I’m grinding China and Italy now, as for Japan, it’s a harder but more fun grind, it has less big lineups but more fun vehicles
China is probably a better nation because they get to use Soviet, American, and their own designs.
@@shellshockedgerman3947 That's been my experience so far. 3.7 and 5.7 specifically have been extremely fun to play with that combination of American and Russian. 6.3 has been a real bitch, and unfortunately it takes a long time to get higher, but it pays off.

Crazy how the Type93 almost looks good when shooting at stationary helis and planes that fly in a straight line
I mean, it can do more then that, got some kills I didn’t expect to hit, overall it was quite usefull and fun to play
@@jforjboy youre right it can do more than that but it can also do less. too often i’m sitting 3km away from a heli and get no lock :(((( and then other times it gets guided by the emperor and hit a supersonic jet maneuvering . i pride myself on having 300+ air kills with the Type93 and love it, just wish they’d fix it a bit
A6Ms are really fun to fly.

before i got the ah1s kasizura i grinded the Uh1B is well, needed 60k before the ah1s, cuz the low br its pretty fun, but sadly only 38 rockets or so
@@jforjboy yeah, I make 2 kills on average in tank RB with it, but sadly the IFV spam makes it pretty hard to even get a kill
Ye same, but indeed since there is more auto cannons it’s getting harder, but that makes the feeling of killing people better
just assault that bitch. get some frens and exploid the assist mechanic to its fulled by being a good player and disabling every tank you can without killing them. teams loved me despite getting like 15 kills only (mostly spaa's) at the end because the advantage of buying your team time to finish a wave cannot be understated. . . or suffer if you got kurks.
UH 1B is pain, it's somehow my second most played vehicle and i'm barely at 1/3 of the research for the next one
