Nice channel, subbed :) Isn't English (or a language) mandatory as a subject? Also, what combination of subjects would you recommend for someone undecided between medicine and CS? Thanks!
English is not mandatory for unis in the UK, no. Some schools will require you to do English as a subject though (mine makes me do EGP, or English General Paper). If you’re undecided between medicine and CS, I’d probably do maths, fmath, chem and bio (to keep all your options open), and if you’re not doing fmath, you can add in phy or CS. Requirements vary from uni to uni though and it’s worth looking up some specific requirements for medicine programs.
Yeah that’s good enough. CS isn’t really necessary at most unis (it helps but doing chem and phy is also enough). I would recommend looking up the individual requirements for your top choice unis though.
S2 would likely help you more - mechanics is next to useless if you're planning on pursuing computer science, while statistics is closer to some of the stuff which you will actually end up studying at university.
