I want to do igcse math. Is the calculator allowed in 2025 edexcel exam? And can i repeat one exam of math if my marks are less in thay paper only ?
Something that he didn’t touch on as much. As an IGCSE candidate myself, I think that the timings for Edexcel is definitely more tight compared to Cambridge i.e. i took roughly 30 mins max on my sciences which are from Cambridge whereas I barely scraped through GCSE psychology and IGCSE geography which are from edexcel.

Is there AQA for English 2nd language? I don’t think there is so should I take Cambridge or edexcel. I was planning to take IGCSE edexcel maths and Cambridge for sciences but my school (Bsk) used to do Cambridge for sciences and edexcel for maths before and 1 year ago they suddenly changed everything to edexcel I think it’s because their contract ended with Cambridge or they had disagreements. Also I tried contacting the head teacher and he said we will not support you taking your IGCSE exams through Cambridge in the British council in year 10 if you want to do so you will need an exemption letter which I will not grant you as you are enrolled in our school and should be both studying courses with us and taking examinations with us. What do I do I really want to do Cambridg or can I just do it in the British council without an exemption letter. Please help Sir

I have recently switched to a school who's doing As level Edexcel but did CIE IGCSES. I am planning to change to homeschooling with tutoring sessions or academy due to the school not being the best and teachers aren't what i expected, and doing CIE AS level instead because it has more resources and free pdf textbooks and planning to go to a better school for next year. my subjects are computer science, math's and business. so is it a good idea to do cie? or edexcel should be fine.

Edexcel AS is better because you do units. I did cie igcse and I was fine with AS edexcel. If you fail a unit in AS edexcel you can resit it but cie you have to resit the whole thing
i am a private student who is learning Cambridge AS levels from last July. It is true that i am unable to do chem practicals coz i don't go to a school. Do you think its a wise decision to change to Edexcel now? (since only few months left for final exams)

My school is doing Edexcel so I’ll do Edexcel but for practice can I also do questions from Cambridge papers and just skip the ones not in edexcel’s syllabus?

I'm really screwed I'm in AS/A level I did IGCSE but then changed schools to Edexcel and I'm taking Chemistry and Physics and I did the test for November/ December exam and found it really difficult and I saw my paper and I lost marks because I didn't use keywords and stuff like this. Now I really want to change my syllabus to Cambridge but it seems like I can't since I'm already in a school which is doing Edexcel and I really don't know what to do I feel like my future is screwed now. I want to take Cambridge really bad because Edexcel is hard and I didint notice this before i changed my school plz help 😢
It's not really difficult perhaps it's just new to you, in many ways it's actually easier
first off don't panic it never helps. secondly if you are taking IAL then you still have 4 sessions to go if you intend to finish it by next June. practice plenty of past papers and check marking schemes simultaneously. third point practice time management. when going through different years of past papers you will notice many similar questions presented in different context/scenarios check their marking schemes and you will notice a similar patterns in answers so you will notice the keywords and try learning them whenever you can and change them according to question type if you encounter similar questions in exam. trust me it may seem difficult but it isn't if u practice. a lot of practice is the key. think about(key words) what they really want in they answers but if it makes u panic during the paper then forget about it, calm your nerves and just write whatever u think is right bcz they do give marks for method n stuff even if answer is incomplete. good luck and whenever u feel pressured and panicky then tell your self there is always somebody enduring worst out there so u still have a lot that u could lose and a lot worse that u aren't going through so u should feel grateful about your condition.
and if it still doesn't work out somehow then dont panic bcz your future isn't screwed if you lose an year or two trust me its just pressure that u feel. i lost my years bcz of covid too and now i just realize that it doesn't really matters much in life. nothing is fair and i still feel better than those who aren't luck enough to afford education at all.

Hi, I heard Cambridge Maths allow to use the calculator only for paper 3 and 4, do not allow in paper 1 and 2. Whereas Edexcel allow to use. Can you please recommend to whom is bad at maths to choose Cambridge or Edexcel ? Thank you
cambridge use calc for them all (im taking cambridge) by 2025 then paper 1 and 2 will be no calc

You'd better ask the University you're applying to if 13 years of schooling are required

@@marwalukman3214 my friends who did edexcel physics got bad grades as well (they were a star students) and they need to retake the exams in jan i think, see a level is almost similar in both so i dont feel like you have to change your boards because it means new marking scheme new way of judging new way of understanding.

Cambridge exams and OCR are different things, all boards cancelled their exams during the pandemic

BUT when I called CIE, they said they have never cancelled A level. So I was a bit confused. Maybe they have taken teacher assessment based alternative form? Plus, both CIE and U.K. based exam boards A levels are recognized at the same level in general?

Edexel is harder than cambridge i have experienced it very well. Edexel text books doesn't have a good note to study i mean in physics and chemistry and also in maths it doesn't have a well structured units. When i came to do cambridge olevels , i saw the difference like the papers are easier than edexcel , btw I'm doing this year cambridge core math paper just to get an experience because my maths standard has got into a bad level as i was in edexcel, so after i take my exam I'm sitting for double award which is maths syllabus D, before i was doing edexel i was in a very good level at maths

Book is book, comes from publishers. Book edited badly doesn't gives you that the entire exam board is terrible, isn't it? While you are taking A Levels, Pearson is way much simpler and straightforward than the linear route from CAIE.
