Wow I wish I saw this earlier. Congrats on the world ranks!! I hoped to achieve the same as you (getting full marks in math and add math) and Im pretty sure I can get it for math but today I had my add math paper and I lost 1 mark :((
Hey, you got this! Don't let yourself get discouraged by the lost mark, and aim for Top of the World in Extended Mathematics instead 💪. Good luck for your remaining exams :)
hey bro i also topped in world in IGCSE math i appreciate ur content
eyy nice congratulations on the Top of the World! Appreciate the kind words :)
Isnt it the same idea to go from start to end and solve what you know and then what you are unsure about you skip for later?
Yep, it's the same idea. I prefer to go through all of the questions in advance anyways so I know what I'm dealing with, so marking questions off while I'm at it helps save time!
hi
thanks soo much for the tips! i have paper 4 in two days. i have a q, sometimes i'd solve the question correct but my working is different, and mark scheme gives for example 3 marks for a specific equation.. but usually my working is broken down or i used a differnet method. do u think i'd still lose marks? idk when to use which specific method
It's usually fine to use different methods from what are given in the mark scheme - it's good practice to always fully display your working so that even if you use a different method, the examiner is able to understand what you've done and give you marks appropriately. I used to sometimes apply Additional Maths concepts to Extended Maths (and these are never given in the mark scheme), so I know for a fact that they do give you marks if you use a different method, as long as the method is valid and gets you the right answer. Good luck for paper 4!
@@itsaaryanmehta alr thank u so much
hi , congrats on the perfect scores for both math paper , did you happen to make a mistake in the paper and correct it after checking ?? , curious as to whether world topper make mistakes as well
Oh trust me, I almost always find 2-3 mistakes whenever I go back and check my answers, and I remember specifically that I had to completely redo two questions in my Additional Maths P2 exam. This is why checking is so important, for everyone!
