Update: The Shared Delusion Index has an index that is solely for Runes, it has "without" within the title.
This video will go through how you can set up a Bitcoin Node and Ord Wallet to prepare for Runes. This tutorial goes through a very specific way to set things up and you may choose to do things differently as needed. For example, you are able to configure where your Ord Index is saved, by adding the flag:
--index [Index Folder Path]
You may also opt out to use the --index-sats flag as it is unnecessary for Runes.
There are more things you can do to change how you interact with these programs, however, I am specifically showing my personal optimal set up for Ord Wallet and a Bitcoin Node.

In his old video, when I was getting the blocks by opening bitcoind, all of the blocks went into my main hard drive instead of SSD. Do you know a solution to this?

1 - I was wondering, i was making on linux, but its so usefull to copy/paste on windows and BOOM you have an image in blockchain, in linux how could you do that, have an idea?

i downloaded the entire blockchain 5 times now but i finally got it!
Can you index ord while bitcoind is still synching? Or do you have to wait til bitcoind is finished first?

you have to wait. how else will ord refer to the transactions if there are no transactions to look at? haha
it’s very easy to use just download it with a torrent client and replace your old ord index with the files downloaded.
around how many GB of SSD do you need for the total process? Love the vid
Including the Ord Index (if you don't choose to do it on your Main Drive) around 800GBs

I installed my node using bitcoin -qt. I moved the ord file to my deamon folder and when I run the cmd I get the ord version (I believe it means its installed). But when I try to indexing I get an error. I start following your previous tutorial, but looks like I'm downloading the whole block again.
It feels like I need to do the whole process again (that took me a few days). Do you have any suggestions to help me?

Honestly, there's too much room for error, I would just import the Ord Wallet into Xverse haha. However, I plan on making that a part of the next video.

I saw that you minted with fee rate of 10. Is there any way to increase the fee rate of a mint already broadcasted? (useful in case where there is a very long block and fees keep rising). Thanks a lot!!!
It'd require using Sparrow, recommendation to avoid this is to just pay the highest amount of fees you're willing to pay and use previous date to anticipate the amount required for fees.

Paz, I need your help from your other video where you set up your nodes in the SSD. All of the blocks went into my main hard drive instead of my SSD. It completely filled my main hard drive, and the file became too large to transfer to SSD. I had to delete it. Every time I retry, it still goes to main hard drive. Idk how to fix.

hey paz im having issues with the cookie files and where to find it I also see you are using btc core v24 and I am using 25 does that make a difference, and also I saw that we will need ord v18.1 indexed to be able to run runes, ik you just made a video for it but anychance you can help or make a quick video on how to idex that or how to fix the cookie file missing, thank you for all of your hard work appreciate it!
you have to run the bitcoin node to see the cookie file. he also mentions how to start indexing around 6:20, open a new command prompt for the index.

I notice the BTC Node you downloaded is version 24 when the latest version is 26. We should download the latest version right?
I have no experience with the latest versions and don't know what has changed, so I personally stick with the older version. I probably won't switch until there is an update where it's needed.

always get the latest version of Ord is my recommendation! Bitcoin Core is more up to you though as 24.0.1 and up is compatible with any version of Ord so far.
I dumped the block indexing at 97 percent and now I am trying to start again but the it keeps getting closed. Please help

my bitcoind and ord command prompts shutdown without doing ctrl+c because my pc restarted itself, is it a problem?
Ord command prompt will require you to repair your index. Took like 10 mins for mine to do so

You can use Xverse and it'll probably be a lot easier for others, but there's always a risk in relying on third-parties. Like I said in my video though, I'll be doing both!
