Great videos! Please continue these basic tutorials, how to run a node, how to joincoin, how to start/maintain/close a lightning channel/payments, etc!
Simple and straight to the point. Love the vids, keep it up!
You make the impossible possible. HUGE thanks!
Thank you for this informative video, even though there are lots of advice from Bitcoin Maxi's that everyone should run a node there are very scarce &/or outdated directions on youtube & elsewhere in video format on how to download & verify Bitcoin Core that even a layman can understand, not everyone is a tech-whizz so you are helping the ecosystem from the ground up, this is very important, hoping you keep this 'easy to understand for layman' format throughout your youtube adventures, you are a valuable asset in educating people about Bitcoin!
ps could you show how to do this on Linux as the procedure is somewhat different please
why does the downloaded file of bitcoin core dissappear/get removed immediately after I download it to my mac ?
Great work 🙋♂️💯🙋♂️
When downloading version 26 it is showing as a zip and once verified not sure of proper steps. Is there anyway you can do a video with the most recent zip version?
Excellent. Can you share some info on how to port forward the core in windows so we are not being selfish by not allowing the peers to also connect to us? I haven't found anyone talking about this. Thanks.
I just downloaded and installed version 25.1, and while trying to display my private key, using the dump, private key command, it said that this option is only available for legacy wallets.
Any idea how I can view my private key for a newer wallet, so I can back it up on paper?
Can you help me? I had to use version 22.1 because I have an older computer and I am on Mojave. When I run the check it is looking for version 26 and shows all failed. Is there other checksums I need to use for older versions of bitcoin core?
Somehow I put all of the keys? Some do not have a key I can verify?
Having trouble verifying the download. with 26.0 I do see that they are now zip files on the website instead of dmg? Do you think this could be the issue? Can't verify OK in terminal all failed.
I have the same problem currently
Trying to find out a solution
I clicked on “show version history” under the downloads and clicked on the version 25.0 like in the video and found a dmg version. Worked perfect after 👍🏼 hope this helps
Is it important to verify this much 6:16
