I've been repairing a crash damaged CL9 as a first year Apprentice Mechanic for the past a couple of weeks and i've been watching your channel to gain ideas on how i can better my Accord Euro. Your Accords are insane.
Ooh that'll be a great project, I'd start with getting it mint in stock contition first, then get headers, tune, intake and exhaust. I'm sure you'll be happy with that and if you want more, just buy a faster car
@@KiwiCarLife I'm about 80% the way to repairing it to stock and then will be modding it from there. I bought the CL9 because I've always loved the styling of it, not for it's speed so that is an added bonus
It’s not a true DeeMo Deejay reference until you’re bouncing it off the rev limiter every single shift like it’s going out of style and yelling at the top of your lungs (we wanna see it). Oh my days that Accord looks and sounds absolutely bonkers

The fact that you can double the power and still have it not just handle, but handle well, is a testament to how well engineered the Accord is.
Oh yeah it's brilliant. Plenty of other cars that would just fall to bits with this much power

From the limited footage at least, props to whoever built and mapped that! Seems like very nice power delivery. And the DMO reference killed me, espeically the "Dick van Dyke" english accent (you don't want to hear my Kiwi impression)

You in my old stomping ground, big o'l Waipuk. I recognized those country roads, done many a thrashing out those ways in my Honda's in the past. Looked to be out on Ashcott Road & Onga Onga Road, knew for sure once i seen you parked on Coughlan Road. P.s What the hell is that annoying beep? You already know you're in boost, no need for it to tell ya lol.
They’re certainly great roads. And yeah the beep was a bit annoying, it was either a max boost or overboost warning
Since you have more experience with other cars, how well is the chassis stiffness of this accord compared to modern sedans?
My CM2 you could feel it flex and warp.

good video..does it not have uprated brakes?i used to own an euro r and i put 6 pot calipers on it i was wanting to put the turbo kit on mine but couldnt justify spending all that money on an older car..so i bought a fk2 type r instead haga luckily its been trouble free
Nah the brakes were stock so slowing down was a bit sketchy haha

Well given it was broken in the video I can’t say I’d recommend it HAHA. I absolutely hate aftermarket head units so I’m not even gonna try figuring out what brand it is. Get an FM transmitter so keep the factory interior look

Do you know what turbo and intercooler he’s running cause I’m planning on turboing my euro r and I’ve basically come to a standstill until I can figure out that turbo to run and what intercooler
Turbo is a mid size garret turbo, intercooler probably doesn’t matter that much but they used one with the inlet and outlet on the same side as that made routing the piping easier
I’ve used a Aeroflow 5855 .82 with an eBay intercooler and custom piping. Made 310kw

My 1.9 TDI PD130 Bora (Jetta) running 240bhp and with the torque to back it up got absolutely gapped by a stock DC5. It wasn't even close. Needless to say, I want another Accord. Is the Type S with some breathing mods just as quick as a Euro R?
It can be faster then the euro r , just needs 50 degree cam gear and ep3 oil pump to rev higher , rbc intake , good induction kit drop in cams and full excaust your at 250 bhp with k24 bottom end.
@@johntobin3673with that mods you just destroy an euroR... To be just as fast with a header+intake is enough
@johntobin3673 sounds expensive. Here in the UK a decent type S is around 5k, while a higher mile Euro R is around 7k. Might be worth just spending the extra on the R
@@baker6928 mine is a 2.0 type s 07 shell , 2.4 engine , euro r box , piper cams, running off doctronix ecu , about 9 k euros I payed.
