- I flew The World's Worst Airline! Ryanair is known as the World's Worst Airline, so I travelled to Europe with the goal of seeing if this was really true or if they got a bad reputation for no reason at all!

As a European who flies Ryanair all the time, it was confusing hearing you being confused about things like them selling perfumes LOL

Also other airlines do this
Im from asia i have never experienced any airline except cathay pacific it is great but if in going to japan i am not going JAL
Ik right?!?!
lol same it’s a budget airline what do you expect
Ryanair is the perfect embodiment of “You get what you pay for”
yeah
So true
Yes
Sooo Ryanair was EA kid huh?
Because they have the best pilots available because all of the other good pilots got taken by your air America or however the fuck your primary airline is called
I just flew Swiss Air Los Angeles to Zurich and while you get fairly nice food and quite a lot of it, including alcohol (I drank 6 minibottles of red wine myself), they were selling everything from luxury watches to wines to cartons of cigarettes to perfume. It wasn't annoying, they announced to check your catalog at every seat and apparently they even have the stuff on board as I thought it was to be shipped to your house, but no, cash and carry.
Passenger: im hungry
Flight attendant: would you like some perfume sir? That'd be 10 dollars 😊
Was coming to this video expecting you to complain about Ryanair expecting a 1st class service from them but I appreciate the honesty at the end. It sure isn’t the best but for the price you pay it’s a good deal and I’m glad you admitted that
first
definitely gotta rate it for what it is. Can't expect it to be like Emirates First Class paying 15$ for a flight haha. Hope you enjoyed the vid!
@@ericstruk sure did! The editing is really good same with the story telling it’s hard to leave the video without watching the full thing

Ryanair has scary landings, sure, but they’re surprisingly safe 🤷♀️
Ryanair does hard landings because some runways are short so they do that to reduce their speed and won’t overrun
As a frequent ryanair flyer (not major frequent but probably about 15 times)
- Pilots are majorly underrated
- Flights have an extremely quick turnaround so will sometimes be messy (This also means if you’re getting an evening flight it will almost always be delayed as the rest of the day has to go completely smoothly in order for that flight to be on time)
- You need to pay for priority pass in order to take an overhead bag but if you look at buying a specific seat some seats automatically come with overhead space and they are usually cheaper than buying the overhead itself. Ontop of that you can still bring a backpack with you without having a priority pass which goes under your seat.
Overall ryanair I think is very underrated, as it is absolutely amazing for being a budget airline. I wanted to spend a couple months travelling so I just took a backpack with me and got on the cheapest flight which was like £12 and cause I was backpacking no extra bag charges. You can’t ask for more than that tbh
As a RYR flight attendant, these delays are called “slots” and they are given by the air traffic control, it’s not the company. Nowadays every airline and airport in Europe is facing a hard time because there is no personal and in a lot of countries people are striking. Second thing, most of the low cost airlines in Europe are not giving complimentary food or drinks. And finding the aircraft messy sometimes is because we have a 25 min turnaround, which means we need to disembark everyone, secure the cabin, board the next pax and leave in that time. When we exceed those 25 min, that’s when the delay “appears” and that’s when we get those slots. Most of you guys blame the company(I’m not saying RYR is perfect) instead of documenting yourselves a bit(and then you come onboard giving us an attitude which is not nice).
Good to know! I appreciate you giving this perspective!
Nice
Im going on a flight tonight with ryanair. we only go on it because its cheap. Ryanair has scammed us off of £300 recently. We werent given our money back after we got covid when it was apparently covered. I think its ok i guess.
Went to the airport. 3 Hour delay and then flight cancelled
so i will not be seeing my family this year
I’ve never had a bad experience on Ryanair. The service isn’t great and can be messy from the previous flights but you get what you pay for and it’s fine for flying to different European cities.
Exactly
I like ryanair!
I use ryanair for most of my flights
So true idk why people are like its so bad bla bla my whole life i have been flying with ryanair its not bad!
Ye idk care if it is bad or good
Once my family and me had booked a flight with Ryanair. We went to the airport and we discovered that the flight was delayed for 2 hours. We patiently waited, but then we found out the flight was delayed another 6 HOURS. After waiting all that time and feeling like Tom Hanks in the terminal movie, to add insult to injury, the flight was delayed another hour. During all this time, we also found out that we couldn't have any food vouchers because we booked of a 3rd party website instead of Ryanair's official website. Altogether, we were stuck at London Stansted airport, for about 9 hours. Our flight was meant to be at 3pm but we ended up flying at around 12:20am, Also, the cabin was disgusting, and they didn't offer any free food or drink onboard, after we had literally seen dozens of flights leave. Moral of the story, maybe pay a little bit more, for a better experience with another airline.
It happened the same to me! We had to go at 15:00 but it got delayed so we could go in a 23:15. We arrived home at 3:30
The seats were disgusting, and we didn’t have any food, there was a lot of trash
That's sad must be horrible in there
You want delays, you dont want to fly in a broken plane! Delay as much as needed to ensure a smooth and safe flight, this is what matters to people! And no, people would not pay more to fly with air france or another airline that cannot show clean safety record and choose to fly with the cheaper ryanair instead that has a perfect safety record, not a single deadly crash. Air france after the 2009 titanic of the skies lost trust in their customers and saw decrease of passangers for obvious reasons
@@dreamthedream8929 Although Air France has had a few crashes, it was founded earlier than Ryanair. Air France was founded in 1933 compared to Ryanair which founded in 1984. And my comment is talking about comfort, not crash numbers and most non budget airlines offer more comfort.
I flew with Ryanair recently from Manchester to Berlin and I mostly didn’t think it was that bad.
Pros: The staff were friendly, the flight itself was decent and it was mostly quite clean (not the cleanest flight I’ve been on but still)
Cons: There was barely any room to store my bag underneath, there was no inflight entertainement instead it was an ad (luckily I had my Switch and played Smash Bros), they sold vodka which I didn’t understand, there was enough legroom for me but not for many others, and the landing was pretty rough.

Also, they successfully made billions of revenue in 2018.
I really don't know what people expect for such cheap flights. I always fly low cost and I never had a single problem
People don't phisllcy die but they do die mentally
That's due to good pilots copilots and navigators if they still have them .but stealth pricing is down to management who are scum and then we get to mr o Leary bent as hell thats why he's rich .I wonder if he ever paid a penny in tax while working for Ryanair because you can bet your bottom dollar hes in a tax avoidance scheme now I hope he has a round bed to sleep in
Yeah, when I went on Ryanair, one of the work of people try to sell perfume too
that f#ck sign😂
I fly with Ryanair all the time in Europe. Their flights are cheap, and every other airline can have messy florrs, trust me. Also, they are selling parfumes, and not giving you free drinks and food because its a cheap airline. You basically only paid for them to take you there. And Ryanair is the best airline for doing that.
EasyJet r the horrible ones ngl
Same dude nothing happend
Yeah and i fly Ryanair all the time as a Europian and the flights are very safe honestly but if the internen seas that its the worst airline EVER it really means NOTHING i love you Ryanair
Very true1
Ur on Ryan airs side cuz u fly it
"Unlike other airlines they don't serve complimentary drinks." Man, even Lufthansa doesn't have any complimentary service anymore, and unlike Ryanair, on short flights they often don't even let you buy anything.
I’ll take ur word for it
I have flown with Lufthansa 4 times this month and in each flight they offered everyone a free 200 ml water bottle and a small chocolate bar so I really can`t relate.
I have flown on Korean air and for a short flight from Incheon to Ulaanbaatar they gave us a drink and meal so I guess my expectations are high
Of course Lufthansa offers complimentary drinks.
Other European airlines like EasyJet, Wizzair, also don’t serve complimentary drinks and it’s because the flights are short and CHEAP. I’m sure Canadian/US budget airlines are the same story but this guy clearly hasn’t flown any
I had an 8 hour Jetstar flight from Queensland to Tokyo but when the plane landed, it got a 2 hour delay just because of immigration even though those people could’ve just cancelled the reservation without telling anyone.
ryanair be like:
sir! i did a super soft landing!
ryanair: your fired
2 days later..
i’m so sorry sir, i accidentally did a landing so hard that half of the passengers + a penguin died.
ryanair: *your hired*
I hate ryanair
Why does everyone hate Ryanair. They’re closer to the safest than the worst.
Ryanair is literally the biggest airline in Europe and the second biggest in the world. With more than 3000 flights a day it has more flights than the second and third biggest European airlines combined. The fact is that out of all the flights they have never had a single crash. Their safety procedures are better than 90 percent of all airlines and therefore no one should say it's the worst airline. If anything, considering they haven't had a single crash out of the millions of flights, it's the best airline.
Edit: considering the unbelievably low prices for tickets most will be shocked to know that Ryanair is the most profitable airline in the world. The only airline that has never made a loss during a year, except for during COVID.

@@Lazidiz it's not. From what I found at least. It's the 7th biggest according to the article I read
I have flown on Ryanair 116 times and I have mostly been very satisfied. You just have to make sure that you play by their rules. I have had to be in contact with their customer service a couple of times and it worked really well. I got my 250€ compensation for a delayed flight that only cost a fraction of that. Of course they dont provide luxury, but you cannot expect that at the fantastic prices they often have. I only fly them if I can find the cheapest tickets. They woud be a bad deal if I had to buy an expensive last minute ticket.
You don't need to play by anyones's rules for a functioning service and transperancy. It is always good if you can settle things in the end.

I went on Ryanair and I have to say it’s a good airline, the staff was friendly, the cabin was clean which was great to see.
What I didn’t like about it is how expensive the food and drinks were and there is no need paying that much cash.
The check in was good and I don’t think it’s the worst airline, it’s also cheap and gets you were ever you want to go.
“Getting yelled at for filming”
Hahaha😂
So, let me get this straight... A flight from Riga to Stansted London in 2019 cost me 20 euros. It's a 2.5 hour flight. Operated by Ryanair which apparently is the worst airline. Was smoother and in my opinion more convenient than most bus/train services across Europe.
And it's called the worlds worst airline?
People are so entitled sometimes.
You don't see anyone going around paying thousands for a train ride. And once they get on a cheap train, don't call it the worst train company.
Just because something isn't cheap, doesn't mean it's the worst. That is capitalist American thinking. You get EXACTLY what you pay for - transportation from location A to location B. If you want to pay 500% price for something unnecessary, that's up to you. But you can't call a service bad, just because it is cheap when it does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do.
@MJ 4ever No, Riga...
also im pretty sure wizz is cheaper with the right deals
@@NKillBruh It can be sometimes, depending on the circumstances.
I view Wizzair and Ryanair as 2 sides of the same coin.
Very often Wizzair does flights to the airports Ryanair doesn't and vice versa. The price difference although can be in the order of 100Euros, isn't a problem, as USUALLY there are flights from one of the airlines with the usual
@MJ 4ever that also, they got some smacking instant ramen
It's really good because it's never delayed for over an hour but usually a 5 to 30 minute delay. I went to Spain and left about 3 days ago and it was actually good. It had good customer service. Sold hot food, drinks, alcohol and pringles. They do have pretty hard landings though!
Bro my flight got delayed for 2 hours today 🤣
@@janicko081games8 If you're in Europe, that's a problem with airport staff shortages and congested airspace not your carrier
Never had a delay but we were coming home from lanzarote during coving there were 11 people on the flight and the only airline flying during covid
Guessing it depends who you get on the desk. I paid for my second bag to be carry on. But I got a really nice person who offered to check my bag no extra charge. It depends how busy the flight is with space in the hold. More convenient for me to let them take my second bag as it was just clothes and other stuff I wouldn’t need in the cabin.
I flew them this year and they improved a lot. I remember some years back they gave plastic boarding cards and then passengers had to run to get the best seats. it is ok, wear comfortable shoes and sprint.

You were soooo lucky. Every time when I flied with Ryanair, the landing was just like the memes. But it was fun.
So with Ryanairs landing being " bad " the ceo of Ryanair once said, " its policy for a maintenence van and crew have to inspect the aircraft.
Now I'm going to ask to send me, a time where a " bad landing " occurred and a maintenance van and mechanics had to inspect the aircraft. Where the layovers go from 35 mins to 2-3 hours. "
I had very few problems flying Ryanair over the last few years.
A few things.
I often use the website to book flights and then use the app.
Make sure you do not buy all the extras. In Eindhoven where I live Priority boarding means standing outside in the rain a bit earlier.
I never travel with checked luggage. Just a small bag I take for free.
The hard landings are so-called affirmative landings. It feels hard, but it is the safest way to do it.
I got some fantastic deals: Eindhoven to Faro, Portugal for 5 Euro. Back from Lisbon to Eindhoven for under 13 Euro. Both are 3-hour flights.
Ryanair only uses Boeing 737-800 aircraft and has a very good safety record.
Don't expect much and you will not be disappointed.
Yeah, it's airpline for small budget. If you wan't better airlines, you can book KLM or smth like this.
737 max 8 series in the corner staring:
I feel like you don’t really have any experience with low-cost European airlines… most of those things are pretty average for this kind of flights: a lot of airlines don’t give you free meals and sell your things on the plane (in fact I think almost every flight I’ve been on had those things), delays are very common (also a lot of times it’s not the company’s fault), and charging you for luggage is also very common… other then the website problems, it all seems pretty normal to be honest.
Yeah, I think he sorta acknowledges that at the end haha
I feel like you would need to do research because this is so overreacting

I've used Ryanair plenty of times, never had any issues, cheap flights I'm not expecting first class service on board.
4:15 It is like saying: "You need to bag your own groceries." It's something completely normal in Europe but in the US and Canada it's unacceptable.
bro you got the best ryanair pilots 2 times in a row
Those Two Ryanair Pilots they are gonna Get fired for smooth landing
I’m honestly shocked at the level of insolence people have against this airline, people expect your legacy carrier economy seat for dirt cheap. Yet they are surprised and complain when they find out you get what you pay for. Sure there are some things Ryanair could improve on and mistakes are bound to happen, actually all airlines can seriously improve their service. But Ryanair is no different than any other budget airline, there’s a reason it’s still in business. And it’s because people with brains who actually accept it and fly it know your getting a better deal out of a few hours flight time over an emirates first class seat just because people are too arrogant to sit with the bare minimum. The audacity
Very true. And about the landing in this video they were smooth because it was an longer runway but ryanair typically flies to small airports
@@nivkys not even that, it’s multiple factors, relatively new pilots being hired (lack of experience), saves money having a hard landing since you use less runway (less fuel spent taxiing), sometimes weather conditions and as you stated, runway performance limitations
I believe Americans, due to their customer service, business class etc... I think they're a bit more used to the others. I was gonna say spoiled but I thought it would be offensive.
Also, this is an Irish airline, and tbh out of our 2 airlines... At least ryanair flights take off hahaha

I've flown on Ryanair 1-2 times per year since 2008 and I've always had a great and positive experience with them every time.

This sounds like the best Ryanair experience ever. All budget airlines have delays and you only had one😯. I always have delays while flying budget airlines especially Ryanair. Also you may think your plane was messy, but it was actually pretty clean and you had smooth landings both times which is something I have never experienced while flying Ryanair. If you think this was a bad experience your planes in Canada must be amazing.
Great and wonderful review. Ryanair kinda saved you because you were pnboard the 197 seater Max 200. It is an upgraded version of the one you flew, but the one you flee had 189 seats, and the max 200 has the same space but fix another extra row to add more passengers reducingnyour legroom

Budget airlines are like that. Took a Spirit flight for a conference (I’m in the US), and they nickel and dime you on everything. I paid extra for a slightly bigger seat and checked luggage, and it came out to the same price as a standard ticket on a regular airline. The plane was also messy, and this was with COVID still being an issue (I was fully vaccinated). If it wasn’t for the timing, I would have gladly taken a Southwest or Delta flight.

I live in europe and I already flew with Ryanair few times. I'm not often frequent flyer, but I'm satisfied with Ryanair. It's budget airline and the money for the tickets are really low, so I'm okay with some difficulties, which can appear. Nice vid
Interesting getting the perspective of someone who has never flown with them. I think from a European perspective who flies Ryanair all the time cause they are by far the cheapest a lot if the stuff called out in the video is right but people who regularly fly can get around the lake mines easier knowing what to expect.
- Knowing to checkin days in advance
- Knowing the different bag sizes
- Always allowing a lot of extra time for a connecting flight.

Once I had a horrible experience with Ryan air, I don’t remember at what time or where the flight was going I just remember that the airplane was full of trash, the landing was horrible everything was started bouncing even the cabin on the top of me opened and 2 of our luggages were broken without a wheel or destroyed
As a Ryanair flyer u always have to leave at least 2 hours before the flight. I always go to the airport 4-5 hours before my flight. But great video :)
Air Koryo: am I a joke to you?
Finally someone realises its not Ryanair
