    I joined the old Hanley library when I was about 5 or 6 years old, I'm 70 now and still a bookworm !

    I took the photo of the fish and chip van whilst sat in my ice cream van having a break,its the top of Bentilee,Ubberley Rd if l remember correct,I've still got the photo somewhere

    Was expecting to see a pic of Shelley's Laserdome, that was my best memory from the place.

    I lived in Hanley as a kid, these images bring it back to me as if I recogniize the brick work of the day! Great video, Cheers 🤙

    I'm sure that chippy van was the one that used to come on Thursdays outside Newstead shops back in the 80s.

    Oldest thing I can remember is Kwicksave and Woolworths in Burslem and Netto in tunstall 🤣 ahh the early 2000s

    Am sure that chip van used to be in a layby on Trentham road opposite Newstead industrial estate back in the 70s

      Me and my mates used to as lads but gave up going after never catching much more than a cold there.....I don't think there ever was any fish in that lake! 🤣

      Totally agree with rob 100% stop using the racist card every time the truth is told I’m born and bred Stoke and damn proud of were I’m from . Feel like a minority in my own town it’s attitude that’s prevalent no respect for our laws values or country , you would think when it’s so bad in there country of origin they would appreciate how tolerable we in the Uk are housing , benefits , national health so STOP! Using racism as an excuse it’s not colour its a fact . We have to abide to other country’s rules when visiting or living there so are we wrong to expect the same .
