    For a relatively small jet this thing is quite amazing. I was expecting it to be sluggish with the extra weight of the retractable landing gear and flap servos but this Viper jet is a revelation. It flies exceptionally well...and this was only the first flight ! Nothing to adjust for the next flight. Just fly it harder and lower.

    So many people are balancing your airplanes wrong. Low wing aircraft are balanced upside down because the majority of the aircraft weight is on the top of the wing. It's the opposite for high wing aircraft they balanced upright. If you don't do this the plane just falls back and forth in your fingers. I was taught this 37 years ago and it just makes sense. Try it

      Yup. I get that. Easier but I'm not going to put marks on top of the wing thanks. It doesn't have to be spot on anyway.

    Hey fellas had NEWBIE question lol, im looking at getting this jet and I am curious can i just buy a Flysky 6channel transmitter with reciever & plug and play? Thank you so much if you get to this, looking at taking to the skies!!

      For optimum setup you need a 7 channel receiver for Ailerons, Elevator, Throttle, Rudder, Landing Gear, Flaps and Gyro. If you plug in everything but Gyro to your 6 channel receiver then I think the Gyro would stay in Optimised mode which would be OK I guess.

      @@arkansasrcnewbie If the jet has a Reflex gyro system in it you just plug the patch cables into your receiver. Assuming that's what you meant.

    Will the fms 70mm viper fly safely on a 4s battery?
    Yes, I know the 6s is recommended and yes I know the performance will be less,
    but will it fly safely on a 4s? I don't want to experiment to find out and then have it crash
    because it does not have enough power to stay in the air.

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  Před 23 dny

      Nah. Wouldn't even bother trying. It needs 6S4000.

      @lw216316 If you've got a 4S4000 then buy a 2S4000 and make a serial harness to make 6S4000 😉

    What is the weight of ur 6000mah battery ?
    Thanks

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  Před 4 měsíci +1

      No idea. Why would I bother weighing it?! Just fly the thing. If it flies OK with 6000 mah then happy days.

    I think 3300 6s is the sweat spot for the this

      I've not seen any disadvantage to 6S4000. Does everything with that pack size.

      @@EssentialRC it will fly perfect fine on a 4000. But you definitely notice the weight compared to a 3300. And will still 100% will say a 3300 will make this bird feel even better in the air

      @@MattyThomas86I completely agree. These people don't understand weight and wing loading and performance. They just stuff in the largest battery that will fit and encourage others to do the same.
