    A lot of good information and options depending on the source of income. Personally, I'm looking at north coastal towns or small cities in the north. Thank you for placing the link to Marina.

      Thanks so much. We've visited Galicia many times and we really liked it. The cost of living here fit our budget and we don't mind the rain.

      Thank you! As far as we know, you can trade stocks since it's usually considered passive income.

    Hello, thanks for the video, very informative! ❤ as I understand this visa is not a fit for drop-shippers and content creators since you need to show the company registration from the clients…

      Thank you. Yes, that's probably correct. However, there may be a way to apply for a visa as the owner of your own business. We recommend reaching out to a professional for help.

    Im a full-time employee for a company and allowed to work remotely from Spain if I choose to. However, im not a "contractor" for this company. I read somewhere that you have to be a contractor, not a full-time employee. True?

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  Před 2 měsíci +2

      From what we've heard it's complicated. Even though you can work anywhere, you might need more paperwork or qualifications to work in Spain. I'd book a call with Marina at Bureaucracy.es to see if your specific work situation qualifies.

    Hello! Thank you for the excellent videos! We are retired educators interested in exploring Spain. Since I am retired from teaching but still teach a few online courses each semester, I am looking at both the Digital Nomad Visa and the Non-Lucrative Visa. Which path would you recommend? DNV or the NLV for Spain? Gracias!! Dean & Cindy

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  Před měsícem +1

      You probably qualify for both. The DNV has a very high minimum payment but your retirement stipend may help tip the scales. If your teaching is minimal and doesn't pay very much, the NLV could work. We recommend chatting with Marina. She can help you pick the right visa. Thanks for watching!

    Do you need the visa if you're looking to remote work for a UK company, from a property in spain for 28 days? Or does Schengen cover that?

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  Před měsícem

      For 28 days in Spain, you won't need a work visa.

    just a small question:
    i am right now in Latvia on a student visa. my course will end next year march 15, 2025. i want to move to spain on work visa (but i am not sure if i can get a job there)
    the company that i am working right now has a different branch that offers remote working (it is based in the US), the salary is not fixed and it is commission based (basically its a sales job). am i still eligible for digital nomad visa?
    thank u :)

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  Před 2 měsíci +1

      You might qualify, but it would definitely be easier to qualify with work experience. We recommend reaching out to Marina.

  • @creoleladisallthatjazznblu6952

    Wait. So you have to be an independent contractor? What if you’re a full time permanent employee that works remotely? Also, you have to have 85 IN SAVINGS alone to get approved? Did I hear that correctly?

    • @DaysWeSpend
      @DaysWeSpend  Před 2 měsíci +1

      You can be a full time permanent remote employee, it's just a much more complicated application. You don't need the savings, that's an aspect of the application, but not necessary. We recommend talking with Marina. She knows all the things about this visa.

      @@DaysWeSpend Ok. What is Marina’s direct CZcams handle? The high tax rate concerns me as well. I’d like to talk more about that.

      @@creoleladisallthatjazznblu6952 They don't use their CZcams. The best way is to contact them on their website. The link is in the video description. Good luck

      It depends on your current country of employment. If you are in the UK, applying as an employee is very doable (assuming your employer is ok with it...). If you are in the US, applying as an employee is a lot harder. It means that your employer would need to register to pay social security for you in Spain, which is costly
