Johnathan Poole I agree on Chavez and Tejada especially, but you also have to remember that the Yankees were LOADED back then. They were coming off 3 titles in 4 years, and now they were signing Giambi, and Boston got Damon. So they lost their best hitter, their leadoff man, and their closer all in one off season, that's tough to bounce back from, even WITH that great rotation you mentioned and Tejada & Chavez. Ultimately, it was meant to overdramatize the 'Moneyball' theory (that's what Hollywood does, it overdramatizes real life events to make them more entertaining). However, I do think that the movie did a very good job in explaining the basic idea behind Bill James' theory, and also how to utilize it from a scouting standpoint. In that regard, the film was very effective IMO.

Guilherme Ribeiro the A’s are a storied baseball franchise to be sure, one of the oldest still in existence. Hats off to you for picking a small market team to follow.
That being said, their stadium and neighborhood is not very nice when compared to other MLB franchises. The coliseum is one of the worst major sport stadiums in the USA. An American football team just left Oakland because they were sick of it .

There are things that Baseball, as a sport, can do, that no other sport will ever come close to doing. Moments like this walk-off homer, are one of those moments. Football, as exciting and competitive as it is, does not have moments that thrust pure joy into your heart and soul. Moments, well, if I am being honest, can make any person literally cry. We can always remember where we were when our team squeaked-out a win, or better yet, made that miracle moment happen! I can only speak for myself, but some of the best moments I've ever spent with my family, my son, were at the ballpark. Man, I love this game!
