In this video I used Lincoln Electric’s latest multi-process welder, the Power MIG 140 MP. It runs off of standard household 120V power and can handle MIG, Stick and Flux Core welding out of the box. With the addition of a foot pedal and torch, it can also do TIG welding on steel, and it weighs in at just under 35 pounds. If you’ve been on the fence about buying a welder because you don’t know how much you’ll use on, this is the welder for you. And it’s only $782! Makes a great father’s day gift!

I was set on building a Argentine BBQ .. as I got into the build I waned to give the typical idea some new life .. I purchased a scissor lift last year and it was the inspiration I needed to get to this idea .. the parts were purchased at the local tractor supply

Hey all - Just a quick update to let you know that My Giant DiResta Razors are Now Live Here: imakeny.com/products/diresta-razor-blade
Nice build! Nice and square too! It was fun watching you prototype as you built it!
At a time when things got really hard (our family camp was hit hard by the recent storms that came through the northeast) and both our newly serviced Weber grills were crushed by fallen trees...your grill make inspired me to press on and make what I want as opposed to let getting hit get me down. Thanks Jimmy.
I've been obsessed with these maker videos lately. This is among the best I've seen. Thanks for sharing.
That looks like it was a lot of work, but man, what a cool build! I wish i had one of these in my backyard. Thanks for sharing Jimmy!
Well I guess we know what we're having for dinner now 🤤😋 turned out great Jimmy!!
Hi. Please make your video again.
You never cease to amaze me with your builds. Favorite part is how it all flips back to open.
I’ve been a chef/grill cook for 35 years and that is the grill of my dreams very nicely done
By far one of the coolest bbq’s I have seen built. Great craftsmanship.
Im amazed by your work. Just breathtaking
It's the year 2177. The great windstorms of 2049 have moved most BBQs into the ocean. Only one BBQ remains on land...
Hand Tool Rescue lol
ya a rusted up piece of junk.
So funny. I was just a baby in 2049 but my parents always talked about how they had a shortage on Grills. Must of been scary times for cookers
Hand Tool Rescue’s great great great grandson finds it and prepares for the ultimate restoration!
Oh my god Waterworld
I am building this based on your design. I initially built the bottom box to make a heat box to boil down to sap to make syrup; worked but needs a smoke stack. Today I am building the top grill part with the raising mechanism the best that I can. This design has inspired me since the first time I saw it.
Now that's a grill!! You never cease to amaze me with your ideas and talents!!!
AWESOME!!!🤯👍👍👍
Somebody : how many welds do you want ?
Jimmy DiResta : YES
I love the way you incorporated that old large gear into the mechanics of it!! That is an awesome grill! Great work as always!
I love cooking with fire wood done it for years unique taste... I admire the innovation you put in this grill
Beautiful design...and steak lol. Congratulations Jimmy!

One of your coolest builds ever! Love everything about it. Great build. Glad you are still making videos 😀
Jimmy Diresta at his best. Inventing and building things I didn't know I wanted or needed until I saw it. Thanks Jimmy.
I totally agree on that!
Nice build. Love the mixing of steel fabrication with mechanical functionality.
You have some mad skills. I loved it when you milled your handle from brass.
Oh, man! There are lots of things to like about this project! :D
Jimmy has mastered the art of measuring in the scale of - About ‘that’ much.
you mean that "jay big" scale?
Eyeball Eyeball zap zap zap!
the pubic millimeter, as we call it
As he says, "if it looks straight, it is straight"
Good enough
I watched this a couple of years ago , but after watching it again , I think my amazement is justified . Well done brother . Anyone would kill for one of these .
😂 sometimes a man just has to go into the shop and fabricate his own grill because he feels like barbecuing that evening.
Although a foosball table/grill seems fun and mostly safe at first, the sprockets and chain were a solid idea 😀 Nice build dude!
This was a fun one to watch brother. Freaking genius
Wow that is a great looking grill, thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Even as a vegetarian I must admit... well done sir! If I could thumb up multiple times I would. I admire how Jimmy lives his dream and executes his projects pragmatically without loosing himself in details - it is all about the overall industrial esthetics and functionality. Best greetings from Switzerland.
Only you could think about such a brilliand idea!!👏👏
Amazing, and the way you made the handle is just so beautiful to watch. Thank you for this video.
Excellent design and build! And again another great video!
Great job Jimmy, keep up the good work!
You are the king of the world.
The EINSTEIN Of DIY
Just what i was looking for.. great job Jimmy, as always!
Brilliant as always Sir Jimmy. Another masterpiece from a genius. 👍🏼
This was your best build in a long time. Go Diresta!
That's an awesome job but never have I imagined I would need to keep my grill chain greased!
I like how you kept looking back at the detailed drawings to insure everything went together.🤔 Now the next one must be in stainless steel. 😉😂
Great job, brother!
Lots of craftsmanship went into that puppy. Since I won't be there, enjoy it for me.
"Para os apreciadores de um bom churrasco, essa churrasqueira é um colírio para os olhos!" Bravo. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
All you gotta do is go "Izzy style" and put a drill instead of the crank! Lol. Super sweet build. Can't wait to get a burger off it.
You could weld a DIRESTA stencil into the grill have have your own branded steaks haha. Nice work 👍
I was thinking the same thing when he pulled the steak off the grill. Would have been a great reveal of his logo on the meat.
remember to have it mirrored so when he flips the steak over it isn’t backwards
I bet that CNC machine could do some detailed work that could be simply tacked on the grill grate
@@MCLEO983 Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
Exactly same thought. I came to comment on it, but saw you already did.
👍💪 creativity, accuracy, professionalism. good job!
Wow the craftsmanship is amazing 😍
So. Many clever tips. Using nuts as spacers on the lifts, the gear “hubs” ......
Using that old “gear” as the crank handle really adds to the look. Nice work.
yeah i really love the almost steam punk look of the braai. could have mixed some metals and added some copper for that authentic steam punk look
if a tornado will hit your house just hide under your BBQ! You are a master!
Greetings from the italian Alps!
Dang....my mouth is watering for the BBQ and the food. Lol Great work brother.
Built like a tank,, will last forever!! Loved your shop!!
At about 8:00 I was thinking "...wait...am I watching This Old Tony?" Then I noticed nobody was talking 😛...great work!
Of course, who doesn't need a 500 pounds full metal overingeneered BBQ? Awesome as always man!
Amazing build! Now I have another reason to sign up for one of your classes: to see this bad ass grill in action!
Enjoyed the build. The barbecue looks delicious. Thanks for sharing.
just amazing, i thought it was overkill before the end, but it looks amazing!
I like how jimmy always thinks outside the box, he must be brilliant at problem solving ;)
Jimmy's put his name on every tool he owns at his workshop
Wonder why
@@Gar99 1 - tools go missing 2 - good marketing of his "brand"
Olá Jimmy! Gosto muito dos seus vídeos. A forma como você junta as peças e cria dispositivos é muito interessante. Também aprecio o design e como um material que seria descartado é transformado num objeto útil. Parabéns!
Thanks! I was thinking of a similar design, but I plan to move the fire instead - thus I'll have the working area always at the same height.
If it's worth doing... it's worth over doing. Nice manual CNC lathe action too. 😀👍
Excellent build as always, love seeing your creations come to life, but just one question - why did you decide to mount the bars on the rack that way, in a \/ position as opposed to a /\ position?
I only ask as most of the fats will pool in these rather than drip to the coals/wood, which produces the smoke and flavour that the barbie is loved for.
Good job Jimmy !!! Thanks for idea !
Amazing as always Jimmy!!
This is most beautiful barbeque I have ever seen. Keep up good work.
Dude! This is so cool!! Great work as always, Jimmy.
Oedadoga
Great design ! And adding the firebricks was smart .
JAMES DIRESTA, ladies and gentlemen. NATIONAL TREASURE.
Its jimmy
@@carsonito852 yes it is
An industrial strength grill! No need for wheels. It gets a permanent location in the yard.
because it is so heavy it basicly can't be moved
also it has "DIRESTA" on it so i'd back off
i used your bbq as an inspiration to build my own parrilla. i made some things a bit different but the pantograph lift mechanism is almost identical and works flawlessly! thank you so much for the inspiration!
Excellent job Jimmy I like the adjustable height to control the temperature of the fire.
Makes me want to buy Lincoln welding equipment and eat a steak. I'd say this build is a success!!!
Driftless Joinery me to! Except.. throw some bird on the grill 😁
That welder is on sale right now too!
Uh oh. I bought a steak and ate a Lincoln welder...
Cook the steak with the welder?!
Magnifique job Jimmy ! ton BBQ est vraiment très original ! (depuis la France) Bon boulot Bro !
Nice work. I like your grill riser mechanism, ingenious !
Great job! And I appreciate your tools.
I am in awe
DiResta just built a lift by pretty much eyeballing the dimensions
I would have spent weeks in CAD before even the first cut...
When you want to build a BBQ that can survive apocalypse.
Panzer BBQ
those screws would rust up in like a week of non use....
That zombie flesh isn't going to grill itself!
Awesome job! I love it! Thanks for sharing!
It I'd very nice project, perfect execution and a great job a have no word. Congratulations and greetings from Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷👍
I love it. Nice work! =)
Hey jimmy, if you decide to start making them will take one;-) be blessed as always! BBh
Yes me 2 i love the skill involved and wish to start a welding course in the near future
Make it three my friend......Very nice work
That freeform turning! Great stuff
Muy buen asador compare excelente felicidades y gracias por compartir tus proyectos
Wow..them some cold skillz, diresta straight etched-a-sketched that handle on the lathe...n I thought my lathe skills were dope...but this guy has maker talent on another level.
Un "Asado Argentino" Vamos Jimmy, saludos desde Argentina!!
not only fantastic device but also truly gourmet food, excellent
You know what I like best about your channel?
You write your name on everything.
Reminds me of my Dad. Wrote his name on everything.
I miss you Dad.
We need a 1.5 mil collection video. Just saying. Sweet grill and build. Thanks for sharing.
Nice design man, the Bad Obsession Motorsports guys just built something similar, not a BBQ, but a lifting platform.
Their prototype was Lego!
Great grill demo after the awesome build!
Wow...that was amazing. Good job!
Hi Jimmy!Nice work man !Your BBQ grill is so amazing !😎👍👍👍👍
Awesome build and I love the idea. The only thing that keeps scratching at my brain is that I feel like the Vs on the grill should be the other way around so that gunk slides off instead of being caught in the groove. The grooves cause strips of uncharred meat on the steaks.
Делитант видимо в жарке мяса. Джим и прав в ориентации уголка. Жир стекает в бороздку и вытекает в сборник, в следствии чего не воспламеняется и мясо не подгорает над открытым огнём.
Now that is what you call a real Fabricator, beautiful work
The things one can build as a Metal worker. Top !
There are a few people so creative they can write their own rule book as they go along. However, your brilliance at design and fabrication does not transfer to barbecue cooking, where you need to be a master of marinades, brines, basting, braising and related arts. I suggest you invite Abom over :-)
Client: Hey Jimmy. I want to have a little family BBQ
Jimmy: Hold my beer.
That is a really cool build!!! Nice job!!!
that is art !!!! best grill I've ever seen !!!!! great job friend
Nomas falto la salsa de molcajete y unas tortillas.... 😋.
Te quedo chingona Jimmy !
That will see a lot of use for your school Jimmy. Another stellar project.
Thanks for sharing. Felix
ps: I want one! 😃
i would absolutely buy this grill. by far the best and exactly what i always had in mind to adjust the temperature.
Amazing job man!
It looks great 👍🏼
