    Thankyou so much mine kept going into limp mode under acceleration after I watched this video I looked at the pipe and straight away seen a split

    Very grateful you put this up mate, nice and clear. Allowed us to 'fix' the pipe whilst stranded in Dunkirk enroute to Switzerland towing a trailer. Did the same sort of fix but with an extra 'seal' in the style of a bicycle intube puncture repair, with some hose clips over the top and plenty of Gaffa tape it held out well for the 1600 miles we put on it in a week towing up and down alpine passes. Without this we might've been scuppered and lost the holiday. Cheers!

    Great video mate. Mine has gone into limp mode on way to work and a service car soon message came on, checked that pipe and there's oil all round the top of it at the back. Couldn't feel a split at First but pretty sure I can on second feel, many thanks again.

    So I tried reusing the clip with the flattening technique at 3:55 but it just tore itself apart when attempting to re-tighten. For the sake of a couple quid it's better to ditch it and replace it with a much stronger jubilee clip.

    great tutorial, best one I've found so far. I do have a problem though and I hope you can help, I followed you're steps and removed the split pipe and replaced it with the new one, unfortunately it hasn't rectified the problem. I have noticed that I get the service vehicle soon prompt on my dash by turning the ignition on but not starting the car, I would have though the engine would need to be running for the alarm to show? anyways if you have any ideas it would be appreciated !!!!

    I had this issue less than an year ago, replaced the hose, job done. Yesterday I've removed the egr and egr pipe to clean (as I've done before twice) put everything together, go for a drive and now I'm getting this error! Don't want to believe it's the hose again, there's no oil on the pipe also. Any ideas?

    Cheers for this, sadly hasn't fixed the issue for me :( There was oil all over the outside of the old pipe, but once it was off I couldn't find a crack.. new one is on now. I also changed the turbo control valve solenoid thingy on the front cross member. But no good... Im stumped. I did see someone saying a low battery can cause issues... but that feels more like a myth! grrr

      @@wayneburrows9202 Sad to say I gave up and sold the car Spares or repairs.
      My next move would have been a 2nd hand turbo.
      threw too much time and parts at it already. - Good luck!

    • @wayneburrows9202
      @wayneburrows9202 Před 2 lety

      Apparently there is something called the vacuum valve solenoid similar to the boost control solenoid and doesn't throw any codes when gone and causes same problems waiting on 1 to come to see if its that 🤞

    On the Astra 2011 1.7 CDTI it‘s on the left side, I think, right? I have one drop loss of black oil every day and there is a big pipe down there that seems to be oily.

    • @mjxfusionz7807
      @mjxfusionz7807 Před 3 lety

      Guinefort yes I have this same problem, feels like I have no turbo did you find out what was wrong?

    • @guinefortCH
      @guinefortCH Před 3 lety

      MJ x FUSIONZ Yes, it was just turbo oil that accumulated in the turbo pipe and then it began to leak out. A little bit turbo oil loss with the time is normal, I was told, and then it sneaks down there where it accumulates and later leaks out, depending on how much oil there is and how tight the pipe is fixed. He emptied and cleaned the pipe and that was it. I had no problem with the turbo and no more oil leaking out the pipe. Unfortunately that car got destroyed in an accident last september with about 150‘000 km or so - so I can‘t give you more updates about any further development in that matter.
      Why do you think you have no turbo?

    • @mjxfusionz7807
      @mjxfusionz7807 Před 3 lety

      Guinefort I’m sorry to hear that hope your okay, did it seem to perform better after this?

    • @guinefortCH
      @guinefortCH Před 3 lety

      @@mjxfusionz7807 Yes, it was nothing critical but it still damaged the car to write-off. I had no performance problem at all and did not notice any change in performance after the emptying. Maybe the turbo in your car just needs to be replaced.

    Does this also go for the Combo (Combo C 1.3cdti) ? It has similar hoses. I have a wooshing air leak sound under trottle and load, but could not find any obvious cracks in any of the 3 hoses i have identified on the HP side of the turbo

    Mine is leaking from one of the small "lug" holes in the metal clip at the top end, on the back. The hose itself seems to be sound. No idea why the clip is leaking oil. I'm not losing boost, or other issues, just spotted a drip of oil on the drive.... aagghh.
    I must admit, I don't understand why there is oil running through this pipe.
