When I put my 2003 mustang from Drive to Park the car will rev up and my gear shifter will be loose but if I go from Drive to Neutral then Park slowly it won’t rev and gear shifter is super tight? Is that a solenoid? Problem or something else?
01 Frontier pickup won't start off in drive whether cold or warmer up. Put it in 2nd and it may pull in a few seconds or a half hour before it starts pulling. Then it works fine until it's parked and I have to do it all over again. And no codes

Great video...i disconnected my shifter, due to using an upgraded transmission, and now my 95 Pathfinder, won't go into 3rd or 4th gear, after it warms up...I'm using a 2001 Nissan Xterra transmission which has different wire connections, than my stock 94 Pathfinder harness, at the shifter location
I changed my valve body and all because my pathfinder was stuck in low gear, but now everything works as it should except I have to rev the engine to go into reverse

Hi. I own a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid with 180,000 km. Awesome car, super comfy and has been quite reliable. I have an issue regarding the shifter. I put the car in Park, turn the engine off and the car doesn't detect the shifter is in P. A little bit annoying. Also, I can feel some kind of jerkiness (not grossly, but noticeable) in the shifting. Do you believe both issues can be related? ATF or transmission oil hansn't been changed in the whole lifetime of the vehicle (10 years next november), following what Hyundai recommends according to their technicians. So. I have an 02 dodge dakota. It has no codes for transmission but it shifts trug all gears when cold but one it heats up it will not shift out of 2nd. It's this a valve body issue or would there be something else?
My 01 Frontier has started not going into any forward gear when I first leave home every day. It's got plenty of fluid. I put it in 2nd and wait until it shifts and pulls. Once it does i can put it in drive and go wherever i need, until I park and then i have to do that all over again. It'll go in reverse every time and turning off the overdrive doesn't work until the transmission shifts which can be a few seconds up to 30 minutes like this evening. What would cause this.

I want to add here that the OBD report shows no signs of any issues with the transmission, could it be the transmission oil and filter? as I mentioned , there are no issues with the upshifting .

What about if the car starts and for it to move will take at least 17 to 20 minutes after engaging in drive? Could it be the shift solenoids, because it is also having the problem of gears not shifting.Only shifts 1,2 that 's it.
P2716 Pressure Control Solenoid D Electrical code came up with engine light on, traction control on, and warning sign with a message check vsc system on Toyota Aurion 3.5 Presara 2008, 244000 on the odometer. At first the mechanic deleted the code saying there is no underlying problem and the code appeared again after a week, he suggested transmission oil servicing, paid 400AUD and the car has no noise and performing well then before, but right after a week again the code appears. But no degrade on the cars performance, mechanic suggests the whole change of transmission but I think it could be loose circuit, wiring issue but they wouldn't want to even try and replace the faulty solenoid or so. I need your help on this
I have a 2007 Toyota Rav4 -4 cylinder. 2 days ago, after driving about 50 miles, the gear shifted to 1st gear on its own and remained there. A mile later, I parked it at home. Now, when I put car gear shifter stick into any gear, the car will not move 1 inch. Also, now it is making noise even when the engine starts without moving the gear shifter. The tranny is U241E1. The fluid was changed at the transmission shop, about 3000 miles ago, and the engine has 204,000 miles. The fluid level on the transmission stick is much higher above the top mark without adding fluid. Could you please give me your opinion of what could be causing these issues. Thank you very much.

My 1999 grand prix stopped running after several months and about1hundred dollars I put a inline electric gas pump on it and it fired right up.However after disconnecting the fule pump from the battery it stayed running so apparently the full pump in the tank is working again.However now it will not shut out of first it does not slip it just won't shift..any thoughts...
Hello 👋 I also have a problem of gear shifting. When i engage into reverse its jerks and moves back properly. When engaging drive, it skips gear 1 and moves to gear 2 and it moves. When changing from gear 2 to 3, it also jerks and it will be stuck in gear 3 even if increasing the speed. It also shows the AT light and Engine light on the dashboard. I changed the transmission fluid and made no difference.
When I engage in reverse, it jerks and moves smoothly but sometimes does not move at all. When drive is engaged, it sometimes skips 1 and moves to 2. It jerks when changing from 2 to 3 and the engine RPM will raise as if it enters natural before 3 is engaged. It does not engage 4 & 5 at all even when speed and acceleration is increased. When the car is stopped or speed reduced, it remains in gear 3 most of the time except if the can is brought to a total halt. Whey could be the problem; solenoids, verve body or what? Please help!

Hi i charged my transmission and it was working fine and all of sudden it stopped working. If i accelerate the car it tried to move but i dont want to damage it. I put the from wheels free and it runs but when i put it on the ground and it doesn't move and in the panel i have the engine light on
no, and those solenoid packs are around 200USD at least for a 99 Chrysler 300m. i had installed one and it went from one code to another and now it won't even move when you push on the gas. thanks for reading, lot of folks on these say questions ,comments, you never see a reply except a like from them...lol

If you still have that problem I think I got the solution because my Nissan Sentra did that. The dealer diagnosed a throttle body failure. Mine was so bad that it started shutting off the engine on the freeway.
Hello if any can help I would appreciate it. I have a VZ Calais that when it’s cold, and I put in reverse, it gives a big shudder then stops. If I run it to warm it, or drive it for a few minutes (in forward!) first, then I can use reverse. Any suggestions?

Hello, I have a problem with my automatic transmission - Renault grand Scenic 2 - 2006 - 2.0L. When I start driving with a cold motor, the transmission is smooth. After 30 minutes of driving in town, with the whole system hot, I start to have harsh shifting, especially with the first gear. After stop on red light for instance, the first gear disengages and wouldn’t shift when accelerating, like going to N position. After a while it would engage brutally. After starting driving on, it’s ok more or less until the next stop. The same with the Reverse gear, It keeps like in N position. When I try to move to manual drive, the same issue witht th e 1st gear. But here, if I choose the 2nd gear, it shifts smoothly! To exclude the electronic problem, I’ve changed the gear electronic card. The same problem. What could be the issue here? What do you suggest to do?

I have a 2003 Chevy S10 with the 4l60e transmission. I have a problem with it not down shifting to first gear. When moving from a stop it's in second gear. Even when manually putting it in 1st it's still only going to second. It's showing a code for shift solenoid B is stuck open or shift valve sticking. I have changed both a-b solenoids and cleaned out the bore holes for both but no change. Any ideas?
It is shifting fine other than that problem. When kicking it down it's also not downshifting to first gear. I'm about to change the valve body and wiring harness along with all the solenoids because this transmission was rebuilt about 4000 miles ago and I don't know what else it could be. my rav4 transmission is fine except in the mornings when i literally have to wait before about 3-5 mins in Drive before the car decides to move forward. Hi, My car went into limp mode 2 months ago, fault solenoid. I've been daily driving as I can't afford a new car. Yesterday all of a sudden my car was back to normal and not problems with my gearbox. Car is in 150k miles, never had fluid changed. Should i change the fluid?
@@InJusticeAustralia hey champ. So my mk4 golf gearbox was costing 3k to repair. I removed all the parts and got another mk4 golf identicle. I did an EGR delete and the guy had to code it out afterwards. Once coded out the engine light came on a few days later stating faulty gearbox solenoid ffs. I wouldn't code or ramap my car again tbh. Luckily I have a mk4 golf which is worth peanuts and my new mk4 is 1 owner 100k mile minter. Stay hard! 👊🏽
Yeah bro. My Hyundai has 206,000,000 & the solenoids are bad. All external sensors replaced except for the camshaft & crankshaft sensors. TCM is original.

@PrasanRana4 I have fix it, one of the wires on one of solenoid was not well connected, what I end up doing is, I changed the entire wire harness, and I also make sure the connectors from the wires to the solenoid were tight. Is not a hard job to do, if you in America, you can leave your phone number or email I can send you pictures of what I did to mine, my car is running perfect, none of those nonsense lights coming on again

Did you test the shift quality between 2nd and 3rd gear at cold temp/startup, & test again after normal operating temp was reached.?

Changing the transmission fluid and filter - if it hadn't been done for a long time - would be a good starting point.

There is a way to check if the Solenoid are the problem ? I get nothing on the diagnostic and it slipping only at high rmp

Electrical issues 2nd solenoid keeps going bad on nissan cvt transmission what should it be..
My 1999 grand prix stopped running after several months and about1hundred dollars I put a inline electric gas pump on it and it fired right up.However after disconnecting the fule pump from the battery it stayed running so apparently the full pump in the tank is working again.However now it will not shut out of first it does not slip it just won't shift..any thoughts...

Hello 👋 I also have a problem of gear shifting. When i engage into reverse its jerks and moves back properly. When engaging drive, it skips gear 1 and moves to gear 2 and it moves. When changing from gear 2 to 3, it also jerks and it will be stuck in gear 3 even if increasing the speed. It also shows the AT light and Engine light on the dashboard. I changed the transmission fluid and made no difference.
I have the same problem with my Toyota Highlander 2005 V6 model
When I engage in reverse, it jerks and moves smoothly but sometimes does not move at all.
When drive is engaged, it sometimes skips 1 and moves to 2. It jerks when changing from 2 to 3 and the engine RPM will raise as if it enters natural before 3 is engaged.
It does not engage 4 & 5 at all even when speed and acceleration is increased.
When the car is stopped or speed reduced, it remains in gear 3 most of the time except if the can is brought to a total halt.
Whey could be the problem; solenoids, verve body or what?

@@akinjideakinlabi5993 Okay brother , what i a have say is if you have a good automatic transmission mechanic , ask him to service the valve body along side checking the solonoid first .

Hi i charged my transmission and it was working fine and all of sudden it stopped working. If i accelerate the car it tried to move but i dont want to damage it. I put the from wheels free and it runs but when i put it on the ground and it doesn't move and in the panel i have the engine light on

no, and those solenoid packs are around 200USD at least for a 99 Chrysler 300m. i had installed one and it went from one code to another and now it won't even move when you push on the gas. thanks for reading, lot of folks on these say questions ,comments, you never see a reply except a like from them...lol

Great video, tx. in my situation i have no check engine light but the vehicle, 2000 Ford Ranger, will not go into passing gear, won't go into overdrive, either. otherwise the truck shifts smoothly. i guess the next step is have someone run a diagnostic even though the warning light is not lit. any thoughts would be appreciated? tx
These transmissions are known for this. Change the solenoid and service the fluid and it should fix!
is it possible that the machine could run intermittently rough at low speeds due to a solenoid not always fully engaging?

I have 05 honda civic auto transmission for 2nd to 3 transmission seem to have a delay but seen to work fine when pass delay but i pull it out my driveway to park it on the street no problem left on the street all daY later that night went to pull it bk end started put in gear to go forward so I could make u turn stop to put it in Rev car didn't go put it in drive would not go try to put in part no part Tran made noise like it was try to go in park ..push it bk in driveway try it next day no pull in any gears but Tran still make noise when I try to put in park shut motor of put still no put had to block wheels will in my driveway need help

If you still have that problem I think I got the solution because my Nissan Sentra did that. The dealer diagnosed a throttle body failure. Mine was so bad that it started shutting off the engine on the freeway.

If I run it to warm it, or drive it for a few minutes (in forward!) first, then I can use reverse.

in my car when i try to pass the 3 gear he dont want to change just go more and more velocity but never change the gear until i put it on parking and then I put it on drive drive and walaaaa everything like new the problem is only when the car is cold when is very hot works fine i dont know whats going on 😅 my bad for the story

I have a problem with my automatic transmission - Renault grand Scenic 2 - 2006 - 2.0L.
When I start driving with a cold motor, the transmission is smooth. After 30 minutes of driving in town, with the whole system hot, I start to have harsh shifting, especially with the first gear. After stop on red light for instance, the first gear disengages and wouldn’t shift when accelerating, like going to N position. After a while it would engage brutally. After starting driving on, it’s ok more or less until the next stop. The same with the Reverse gear, It keeps like in N position. When I try to move to manual drive, the same issue witht th e 1st gear. But here, if I choose the 2nd gear, it shifts smoothly! To exclude the electronic problem, I’ve changed the gear electronic card. The same problem. What could be the issue here? What do you suggest to do?

So I had a 2000 Toyota tundra automatic transmission everything was fine and then all the sudden one night it stopped working just wouldn't go in gear wouldn't do anything so I told it home it's at for several weeks and then all the sudden it work again only for that night and then it stopped working and wouldn't do anything once again what could it be

Engine is struggling to move when engaging the drive while at the same time when on park you can't turn the engine off because it ob what but you can't take the key off after parking the car. Is it not a bad parking problem

I have a 2003 Chevy S10 with the 4l60e transmission. I have a problem with it not down shifting to first gear. When moving from a stop it's in second gear. Even when manually putting it in 1st it's still only going to second. It's showing a code for shift solenoid B is stuck open or shift valve sticking. I have changed both a-b solenoids and cleaned out the bore holes for both but no change. Any ideas?
It is shifting fine other than that problem. When kicking it down it's also not downshifting to first gear. I'm about to change the valve body and wiring harness along with all the solenoids because this transmission was rebuilt about 4000 miles ago and I don't know what else it could be. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

my rav4 transmission is fine except in the mornings when i literally have to wait before about 3-5 mins in Drive before the car decides to move forward. But once it moves it goes fine, shift, acceleration and all. But its a bit slow sometimes when it comes from parking to drive. but once it goes, everything is fine. What do you think is the problem?

That sounds like a sticking solenoid, or low transmission fluid. We'd suggest checking the fluid level first.

My car went into limp mode 2 months ago, fault solenoid.
I've been daily driving as I can't afford a new car.
Yesterday all of a sudden my car was back to normal and not problems with my gearbox.
Car is in 150k miles, never had fluid changed.
Should i change the fluid?
If it was my car i would. If you can do it yourself youll save a good amount. Get a new tranny filter too if possible

So my mk4 golf gearbox was costing 3k to repair.
I removed all the parts and got another mk4 golf identicle.
I did an EGR delete and the guy had to code it out afterwards.
Once coded out the engine light came on a few days later stating faulty gearbox solenoid ffs.
I wouldn't code or ramap my car again tbh.
Luckily I have a mk4 golf which is worth peanuts and my new mk4 is 1 owner 100k mile minter.

Yeah bro. My Hyundai has 206,000,000 & the solenoids are bad. All external sensors replaced except for the camshaft & crankshaft sensors. TCM is original.

At first the mechanic deleted the code saying there is no underlying problem and the code appeared again after a week, he suggested transmission oil servicing, paid 400AUD and the car has no noise and performing well then before, but right after a week again the code appears. But no degrade on the cars performance, mechanic suggests the whole change of transmission but I think it could be loose circuit, wiring issue but they wouldn't want to even try and replace the faulty solenoid or so. I need your help on this. I think our issues is the same.

@PrasanRana4 I have fix it, one of the wires on one of solenoid was not well connected, what I end up doing is, I changed the entire wire harness, and I also make sure the connectors from the wires to the solenoid were tight. Is not a hard job to do, if you in America, you can leave your phone number or email I can send you pictures of what I did to mine, my car is running perfect, none of those nonsense lights coming on again

Those cars are known to have issues with the whole cirrcuit board that holds the solenoids. Assuming it's a 5g-tronic.
