The Netherlands are interesting in that they catch a lot of "swing votes" from Central-Eastern European countries like Poland, Hungary, and the Baltics. Western Europe mostly favors them but those countries like them a lot too. Near neighbor Belgium would've given them one more 12 in 2018 under the hybrid system. I imagine, though, that if all goes well, 2019 will see more than a few 12's go the Netherlands' way.

I think in 2014 The Netherlands needed to win
When the video ended I was like "where are plenty of 12 points in 2019 for Duncan???" and I saw that the video was made before ESC 2019 😂😉
Fun fact: They were the first winners when the 1-8, 10, 12 pointing system was introduced, and it was their last win until 2019!
