Money is a fashionable tune sung by an heavily autotuned average singer.

Are you talking about Brazil? Because Americans from US think that America is only US, when in fact America is a continent (the USA is just a country). I'm Brazilian and unfortunately few people here know Eurovision. I'm completely in love with this contest since 2012, I always discover amazing artists, languages and cultures and seeing the mobilization that the contest causes in the population is so, so beautiful. Now Americans from US are thinking about the idea of an America Song Contest (very similar to ESC), but if it happens, it will be only the US in it (states competing against each other, rather than countries), and I think it's absolutely ridiculous.
If something similar to ESC is to be done, let it be with the entire continent (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, etc) and not just the US states (this proposal doesn't even make sense). I'm really sad to know about it, because when I saw Australia and Israel in other editions, I thought: why can't Brazil participate, too? Because the country is affiliated to EBU, too. I know that people here probably wouldn't give it much importance (and that there are other things besides the ones I mentioned in it) but a good publicity on social medias would help hahah.
This is just an outburst from a woman who really loves Eurovision, and singing and music, and who would like her country to have something similar or could participate as Australia/Israel (I know Australia has been following the contest for much longer). I was extremely happy with Maneskin's victory this year, I've been following them since 2018 (and none of my friends know them, so sad :/ ), I'm delighted to see that now they can reach other countries and continents, they deserve the world (just like so many other artists that I met through Eurovision).
I apologize if I may have offended someone with this text, it wasn't my intention.

what of the few songs in the history of the Eurovision to actually stand on its own as a classic, rather than another gimmick or light weight pop.
literally the only reason it is famous is because it trended on tiktok. With the way tiktok works (people doing videos using audios that are often parts of a song and that, if the audio becomes viral, get used a lot) songs could become insanely popular in a short amount of time. That's what happened to this song, as well as other eurovision songs that have an insane amount of streams like SNAP, that also became famous on tiktok. Calling it "a classic" seems a bit of an exaggeration lol

@alpinedog xx Eliot's song is a disaster in live , even tho its ok in studio version and the staging was bad , hooverphonic came up with a decent song but idk this would got massive appeal since most of the 2020 are pretty strong and belgium still in the "Bondy" theme for a while now , Sennek has a great song yet again the staging was bad , But i love Blanche and Laura ... Netherlands this year is much better, it’s unique and in Dutch. This song didn’t deserve to win in my opinion. North Macedonia (jury winner) and Norway (televote winner) were far better. But it is what it is and usually the Eurovision winner isn’t the best or most successful song, it’s more about performing than winning really.

@@samisankey3104 yeah. While I think it was a pretty good song, I also think some were more impressive... I really don't remember everything from that year but I kinda agree :) and I also agree that the song of this year is better finnaly a song in Dutch and it sounds good to!

He didn't win the jury OR the televote, even after vote fixes.
Jury -> Sweden (before vote fix) and North Macedonia (after vote fix)
Televote -> Norway.
He was great, but he didn't win either of the votes yet wins overall which is annoying IMO.
@@dp6740 I'd have to disagree. I think Salvador is my most hated winner of all time and I have no clue what was so good about him. I didn't think he deserved to even qualify or come close to it.
