- In this video, I do the following to my 1996 Camaro Z28:
- Replace hood lift supports
- Drain and replace washer fluid
- Install battery hold down
- Replace battery junction box
- Install cowl panel retainers
- Pin up fuel lines
- Install throttle body air foil
- Clean MAF sensor
- Replace air filter
- Throttle body coolant bypass
- Replace serpentine belt
- Recharge AC system

that long awkward tube on the intake is designed to silence induction noise from the intake.
Nice Job! I bought a mint '94 Z28 last June. Heard all the info and warnings about pressure washing the engine.... it's TRUE. When you get your Opti Spark wet, which you will, you loose your spark until it dry's out completely. Will run like crap and ping. Mine took 4 days with a small fan blowing air on it the whole time. Runs perfect now but a pain in the ars.
Be careful how you clean your LT 1 engine. You can easily destroy the Opti-spark ignition using high pressure water.
All the aftermarket throttle bodies have a modded in airfoil so they must work. Good video.

I cut the end of the silencer on the elbow. Than glued and clamped. Just a suggetion

I would have suggested a cold air induction system. Maybe a K&N. You had the old one pulled out might as well upgrade at that time.

That long thing on the intake elbow is a silencer. Newer elbows dont even have them anymore

what's the point of the intake coolant bypass? is there a reason you don't want the intake to be cooled by it?
Ur putting hot air into ur intake that’s meant to be cold
the awkward long tube is called a donkey dong.it's to silence intake noise.get rid of it and stuff a deodorant cap in the hole or buy a 1le elbow or a unit from summit racing.
*Since I have a baby coming, I'm going to do small stuff on my 1976 Camaro. I just replaced the dome light bezel base, plastic cover and bulb. I am going to change out the parking light bezel base, cover and bulbs and then replace the battery tray.*

That long tube is a resonator. You can buy a 1le elbow that doesn't have it.
