    The cool thing about old cars is each time you touch them, you leave them better than they were when you started! Much needed love on that ride. Well done, again.

    Very helpful information on the Fenders. I gotta fix mine up on my 99 Camaro.

    Great video on pushing those lower fenders in. I gotta do both sides.. Thanks!
    Also, its good to see that they finally sell wipers specifically for F-bodies..its been a long time since I could find any.

    I bought my 1997 Z28 Mystic Teal Metallic back in 2003. The first mod was to get rid of those ugly 5 spoke 16" aluminum wheels. I got a set of take-off 10 spoke 17" 2000 SS aluminum wheels from SLP. They came modified to fit 1993 and up Camaros. The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 275/40 ZR17. I wanted to keep it looking stock except for the wheels. The other mods are out of sight, tubular lower control arms, panhard bar, cast aluminum diff cover, larger sway bars, Flowmaster cat back exhaust. Just hit 100,000 miles about a week ago and it still runs great.

    Nice video. These little items add up. When you fix them the overall experience and appeal of the car increases greatly.

    Those little fix it jobs are fun to watch and informative. Your video work is top of the line! I have a 2000 Z28 it’s in mint condition. I do all that detail work on it myself.

    A good mod if you don't mind the different look is to swap 98-02 wiper arms on there. they go right on but they don't have the spoilers on them. They take a higher variety normal of wiper blades.

    Glad to see another f-body video. You should have put LED bulbs in the fog lights. I did and they are so much brighter.
    I also didn't get a turn signal bulb completely tightened in a socket and it came out and melted to the plastic lens. That probably happened to your tail light.

    Very nice video as always. To save some time on the fenders you can actually bend the metal with the fender attached. This way you can actually see how much you are moving the fender and get it lined up with the door.

    • @ReynoldsRides
      @ReynoldsRides  Před 2 lety +1

      That makes sense. I would be worried about damaging the fender tab in the process, though. I guess it would depend on how you bend it back.

    People always destroy the lower part of the fenders on 3rd gens too! Drives me nuts! The tread on your front tires looks so good

    Hello. I will adjust the fender bulge. The left black plastic pad behind the bolts is missing. I will look for a new one. Are those black pads for jack stands? Thank you.

    Great video. I did the right thing and used a tonya 9000 and a 2x4 on the fender tabs. It worked, but did crack one tab a bit. Will use fiberglass and rosin to fix. I am looking for the rubber stops for the divider in the hatch area? Will you cover that in your next video? I did not see them on the classic industries website.

      I concur! I have a 95 Z28 that has one of the housings broken, so it would definitely be helpful to me for when I go in and try to figure that thing out and replace it.

      I used compressed air and some Sea Foam Deep Creep.

    • @KVUSA77
      @KVUSA77 Před 2 lety +1

      @@ReynoldsRides I'll try that, mine don't spray the best on both sides, and curious to see if I can improve it. Also, I also have a bent fender mount but didn't think of using a heat gun, another cool tip. Thanks again.

    Wish i could get 4500k on the fog lights and headlights, well it's possible for the fog lights and i got the bulbs but haven't installed because it's 6000k and i personally don't like 6000k, 4500k will give it a better look, but the damn headlights they don't sell headlights where you can install bulbs, and i don't want pre installed ones

    4:37 I can drive straight down a smooth road and those things somehow get bent...

  • @weskirkland5850
    @weskirkland5850 Před rokem

    1:18 Don't tailgate people and they very likely won't get broken again and definitely won't have that sandblasted appearance. I mean yeah its safer not getting too close to people but you wreck the front of your car by doing it. Cars in front of you kick up sand and rocks constantly. I do it so my cars finish doesn't get messed up. if you have broken lights or thousands of tiny chips in the front of your car you drive way too close to the people in front of you.

      Not aimed at Reynolds Rides. I know he just got the car.
