4 years ago I was at Comedy Cellar in New York and went on stage to get roasted by Jeff Ross. He was hilarious!! I talked to him after the show and he was the friendliest dude.
Of course! No hard feelings. Jeff knows he is not the most attractive guy either. That's what makes it so fun, self-deprecating and mocking himself.
i met him in a piano bar in texas. i was the only guy to approach him and he was pretty cool.

Got mad respect for Jeff Ross, some people say his performance at these things can be choppy at times but u gotta understand it is REALLY hard to come up with things on the spot that are universally funny but Jeff Ross and a lot of other comedians even Conan are so likeable due to their unpredictable nature and spontaneity in joke telling.

I love this his comedy. I got the chance to roast him. It was meet and greet after the show. It literally looked like a UPS driver outfit with the shorts all brown. His manager was taking the picture and I said, thank you for coming off your shift from UPS to perform for us. His manager started cracking up. He didn’t come back at me. I wish he did 😂

PS. There's a movie made in late 90's, early 2k, based on a true story about a guy who really was both at the same time. He had this neo nazi gang which he was the leader of - they didn't know he was a Jew. (It was in NY or London, don't remember.) He harrassed Jewish people on buses, they vandalized Jewish property. It was this kind of punk behaviour at first, small time hooliganism, which later escalated.
Once they broke into a synagogue on his initiative. He had to coax the others in rage before they started to break the place in pieces. But then somebody threw the Tora scroll on the floor, and started to dance on it in his army boots. Then this ring leader interrupted, and was on his knees on the floor, rocking back and forth holding the script in his lap like a wounded friend, caressing it occasionally. Then they left.
He planted a bomb in the synagogue in the end. But little before it was going to go off, he stepped in the middle and told he had put there a bomb, and that everybody would need to leave. Guess it couldn't be stopped. He stayed in the room until all others were out. He went with the bomb, nobody else was hurt.
Don't know if he could've made it out himself too (don't remember) - guess he partly wanted to punish himself, end the mayhem and ambivalence he was living in. Talk about fighting your inner demons.
