  • I walk around Bahir dar, first I have an amazing avocado juice, one the wonders of Ethiopia, then I take to the city center, where I discover how much the city has changed during the last 10 years. Finally, I go to see the source of the Blue Nile, walking through an old village, and meeting a nice kid of shows me his garden.

Correction, what I said in the video about the Blue Nile providing 20% of the Nile's water is wrong. The Blue Nile actually provides 60% of the Nile's water most of the year, and the Blue Nile provides up to 86% of the Nile's water during the rainy season in Ethiopia, from June to September.
And thank you, guys, for correcting my mistake in the comments 😊

Christians and Muslims have existed in the country for a very long time, peacefully that too. it's very strange to claim that it is a country of one religion, and very divisive, similar to claiming it is for one ethnic group. there is no need to do such a thing. In Brazil we have our own avocado juice also... We mix it with milk and sugar !
As you said in the video you didnt like it, but when you tried it you loved it....
In Brazil is not usual to eat avocado in the salad, avocado is a fruit and we eat it with milk and sugar!
Brazilian could think it is a craziness to eat avocado with salt, as a salad.... But in current and all this globalization, people could just think it is from another culture

Great content Yves.. but Blue nile which orginates from lake Tana contributes 85% of the nile while the white Nile from lake Victoria contributes only 15%..

amazing channel and the reason you don't recognize bahirdar is because the city is designed in grid so most of the streets have similar features.and blue nile provides more than 85 percent of nile river thats why Ethiopia and Egypt are in dispute over the DAM which is built over the blue nile in ethiopia. thank you
