Oh and as we leave Portugal we just can't help ourselves to one ... or perhaps two more Pastel de Natas ....

We are the Cookes, Nicola, and Nigel. We love to travel. In 2018 we bought and converted a VW Transporter van and spent 3 years traveling around the UK and Ireland. At the time we also travelled with our beloved cat, Guinness. She was 20. Sadly we lost Guinness in Feb of 2020 and then well the rest of the world went to pot.
After a few 3 month trips to northern Spain and France, In early 2023 we sold our property back in Ireland and hit the road full time. For the remainder of 2023 we explored Spain, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
This channel will primarily focus on our travels, with the odd smattering of photography and food thrown in for good measure.

Flingos!!! Now I see your talen/skillset Nigel. I have the color vision one can have. (Hence not an artist) Once in a while I see soft colors that touches me. Your video of the Flingos was very nice to my eyes. I am shipping my RV to the UK this July. Going to hang out in the UK until the 1st of September, then travel Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway for 90 days. Emphasis on Norway. Doing the shoulder season, less other tourists. Will get a chance to capture the Northern lights. Wnet to the Artic Ocean via the Dempster Highway In the Northwest Territories last summer. Will be Doing Norkapp in Norway.I know Scandinavia is expensive, but you only live once.

Norway is absolutely fantastic … the wild Atlantic way in Ireland … the outer Hebrides in Scotland … all fabulous … you will have an incredible time … we are considering shipping ours to USA in 2025 … the national parks look amazing :)
