- Bought this cheap fishing boat from copart auction with hopes of bringing it back to life! The restoration wasn’t easy but the end result was so worth it and now I can go fishing!!

I was looking in the comment section and in the item description or you know little box underneath the video for any links for parts you might be used on the boat but I was curious about the steering wheel could you link it or tell me where you got it from
Don’t let your wife watch this video, once she finds out what this man is capable of, she’s going to ask, “and what can you do?”. This guy is dangerous! 🔥
😂 Thank you 🙂🙂
This guy is a beast great job
You've done an excellent job transforming it from a rough looking boat into an exceptionally great looking boat. Well done.
absolute steal bro ! that boat looks brand new.... the fact that you got something that floats for 600 bucks, much less something you can turn into that is awesome!
Красава братан так держать😁👍👍
Thanks bro!
Loved the video
One man's trash, is another man's treasure!
Man I really think you did a good job way better than buying a new one prices are crazy keep up the good work 👍
Thank you!
And the fish below it won't know the difference!
Nice work! I can appreciate it far more than going out and spending $100,000!!!
You definitely have something to be proud of. I hope you and your family create many memories in this boat. Tight lines
Thank you!
Супер получилось!
It turned out great!
Thank you!
Nice work and great job showing your son how to get involved. Good stuff.
Very nice
Thank you!
Great video y'all and sweet boat I just have a canoe
Thank you!
Really nice work! I'd love to see a total cost break down showing everything spent on improvements and overall expense. It's beautiful and really something to be proud of out on the water.
Thank you! Will make a video of that for sure
Barbasol shaving cream will clean the carpet like new it’ll get all the stains out!!!I do this for a side job bro.Just fyi
Thanks for the idea!
@@Ace.FisherDid you try the Barbasol?
Can’t wait to see a video of you out fishing with it! Nice build!
Thank you! Will be posting a new video tomorrow!
Did he repack bearings?
Nice Though
My 170tf was blk w/red stripes. Great restoration! Brings back memories.
Cool! And thank you!
The pink handled scissors are the mark of any true craftsman. Just kidding😉
Great job man. $600 boat into a thing of beauty.
Thank you! Yeah can’t complete a project without those 😆
You should be proud. Nice job
Thank you!
Very nice job!!!
Thank you!
Really nice job.
Thank you!
👍🏻 Great job🏆
Thank you!
Next time you should paint the plywood with a water proofer before you carpet it. Help keep all your hard work nice!
Thanks for the tip 👍
I work on nitro boats and they definitely don't build them this good anymore. Bless you for reviving this beauty.
dude I have this exact boat........Great to see another one like mine after all this timed. By the way it's still runs!
Cool! Is yours the same color?
Nice job! Looks great. Just one suggestion. On the wind screens, sand them with 600 grit sand paper and spray them with two part clear. Will make the crazing in the plastic disappear. The black looks awesome though.
Thanks for sucha great idea! Wasn’t sure how to go about restoring the shine from the outside.
Gonna try this
I had the exact same boat but mines was a single console. I blew the engine and parked at my mothers home for 6 years. When she passed we sold the house and brought the boat back to my place. While trying to determine was going to put another engine on it or not, it was stolen from my house. It was in a little better shape than yours. You did a very nice job on the restoration.
Oh wow hope you get it back one day! And thanks
Very Cool! $600... good for you man! Love watching videos where a little TLC makes a huge difference. Have fun on the water!
Thank you!
But what about the motor
Awesome videos!
Thank you!
Looks 1000-times better!!
Nice boat and good job but $600 my butt people want $1500 for Jon Boats without motors.
Thank you. It’s definitely a deal you don’t find every day lol
Nice work. Well Done!
Thank you!
The boat turned out great! I love the wheels and fenders black! I should have painted my windshields also, I tinted them and it was a pain
Thank you! Yeah my plan at first was to wrap them in black vinyl until I saw a video of someone just painting them.
Looks awesome! Some 303 Aerospace Protectant and a cheap boars hair brush will go a long way to refreshing all of the aged plastic and rubber.
Thanks for the idea!
Niceee mannnn
Thank you!
Man, that old boat came out looking sick bro! You did a Fantastic job on it, 💯 🚤🔥
Thank you so much!
you should paint you driver side and passenger console black to really freshen up your remodel. then use a gloss clear sealer with a harder to help look in the color and protect it from the sun,. im remodeling my bass boat now and this has made a big difference..
Thank you for a great idea!
Good to see your little man paying his way washing the boat down.
Paying his keep for future fishing tackle losses hahaha
I can’t believe you found that boat for 600$. I’m trying to find an old ranger to fix up.
Yeah I’ve been looking for many months to find this deal.
I have an old ranger that I just got it’s gonna need a ton of work ngl I feel kind of overwhelmed
Great job!!!! You should be proud of yourself, now get out there and enjoy it.
Thank you!
Hats off to you sir. WTG … and it’s too bad the industry doesn’t make affordable 15/17’ bassboats like they made in the 80’s for todays anglers. I’m old and seeing today what a 21’ loaded up boat runs ($120,000+) is tough for young anglers today. Unreal … just make sure your projects don’t require new stringers or transoms. Also boat may be cheap but the propulsion system is another subject if needs replaced. We’re awaiting another vid.
Thank you! Yes the new boats are definitely out of reach. And thanks for the tips.
Great job! Congratulations
Thank you!
This is awesome, your dedication to turning this boat into what you have is awesome, thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Nice work ! It looks great. Shows how far a little determination and elbow grease can go.
Thank you!
Nice.
Thanks!
Beautiful job
Thank you!
It turned out really good 👍
Thank you!
Looks great! Ive had the same boat for 10yrs and it has been great. With the 90HP I get about 45MPH out of it.
Thank you! It sure is a cool boat, love it!
Awesome job
Thank you!
Excellent
Thanks!
Great transformation!
Wheel bearings! Just bought the Same boat. Only difference is mine is 115 Mercury. Same color even. Love how it fishes. Also for a short boat it rides awesome. Good luck with it man!
Congrats with a new boat! and will check bearings thanks.
I can believe u found a $600 floating and running boat!!!! Wow!!! Wish i get that lucky. Looking for a different boat myself. Buy im on a budget
Keep looking! I wish you to find an amazing deal!
Great job!
Thank you!
Good job, sweet channel Subbed !
Thank you appreciate it!
Awesome job Restoring that boat
Excellent job!
I just bought a 2000 that may cosmetically be in better condition but the previous owner gave me some of the exact stuff in the blue bottle and this has motivated me to go give it a shot. Great job with the boat, I’m sure it’s gonna be super nice when finished! 💪🏾
Awesome 👍 and thank you!
Awesome job, you got skills. I love your videos
Thank you!
Looking good! I look forward to a video of you fishing from it. I agree on the wasted space. My first thought was that my clumsy self would fall in it trying to set the hook.
Thanks! And lol same here I’m always thinking the same! Will post a fishing video soon.
@@Ace.FisherAwesome! Keep on posting them, I'll keep watching!
nice job on that boat 🚤
Thank you!
Looks great young man!
Thank you.
Wow you brought back that paint job back to life. Looks great on video, imagine even 10x better in person.
How has the paint held up?
Thank you! It held up great still shines like new!
Great job!!
The is very good, it make waxing so easy.
Thank you!
Wow, that turned out great!
Thank you!
Excellent restore man looks 👍
Thank you!
If I could, I'd reccoment getting a Minnkota powerdrive v2 with co-pilot or i pilot to get the foot pedestal off the bow, being that it's a smaller deck just to give you more room and comfortability
That’s actually the exact motor I just got for it but that will be for a future video.
Hell of job looks amazing! Definitely would watch more restorations
Thank you!
Nice looking boat worth keeping
Thank you!
Nice job man looks awesome
Thank you!
Nice work
Thanks!
Not sure where you would go with the old Nitro. You did a remarkable job with common tools many of us have in our garages or shops. Excellent job!!! As to how much, I am very interested. You did do some upgrades that were outside of a restoration. But the fishing world finds some of that necessary.
Thank you! I was building the boat for my self so yes I did do a couple upgrades that wasn’t necessary but I’m still not done with it have a couple more ideas to upgrade!
This is awesome! Great job! I love watching your video, and I will want to see you make a video with you and your boat riding and fishing 🎣 on the lake soon. Please let me know how much you spent total to restore your boat, and I love the steering wheel. I'm having my Old Javelin 396 model with Johnson 200 hp 2 stroke outboard motor being restored by someone else, and now I want to replace my steering wheel just like the one you brought for $20.
Thank you! Currently working on a new video of the boat. And the steering wheel I bought on eBay.
You did one heck of a job on that boat. Great work...
Thank you!
Great job on this boat sir! Beautiful!
Thank you!
Well done!!
Nice job man!! Looks incredible 🎉
Thank you!
That is an awesome job.
I would treat the inside of the trailer frame if I were you.
I posted on your other video that I got mine in 1996. What I didn't mention is that it was used and is actually a 1992 model year. This past year on the trailer, I had to cut some bad spots out and weld in new pieces. The trailer looks alright on the outside but is rusting from the inside out. I plan to do some stop rust inside the frame. Then treat it with fluid film.
If you are like me and only have 500 acre lakes in your area. I agree it is the perfect size. I can be anywhere on my local lake and be home and unhooked in the garage in less than 30 minutes. The smaller size makes them easy to load and unload.
Thanks for watching and thank you for the idea I will have to figure out how to treat it from the inside!
Very impressive
Thank you!
Nice work man looks good👍
Thank you!
Looks amazing great work
Thank you!
Fantastic results, great job!
Thank you!
You did great. Nice job. I’d actually add another seat in between. There still would be room to step up on the back deck. Well done.
Looks great. You did an amazing job!
Thank you!
good job, cant wait to see your next project boat
Thank you! Already searching for the next one.
Hell of job on that boat it looks really good
Thank you!
Watched part 1 yesterday and I have to say it turned out really nice, you did a great job. Also I’m usually late to the game so it was pretty cool that I got to subscribe early, I think I was somewhere around 52 or 54. Looking forward to your future videos!
Thanks for watching and thanks for subscribing I appreciate it!
Next boat, remove all the hardware 1st. Along with the carpet. Before you attempt to restore the finish. It makes for an easier restoration and a much better results.
I've done it that way many times.
Thank you I’ll remove the hardware but I wasn’t planning to replace the carpet so I didn’t want to do the extra work of removing and re installing it.
Needs all new carpet for sure.
I agree it could use a new carpet but the original carpet doesn’t bother me too much, it’s not perfect but it’s also all there and does the job 🤷♂️
@Ace.Fisher It is for fishing. Sometimes getting to pretty is counterproductive. It's hard to know where to stop fixing up something old. The new pieces always stand out.
nice
Thanks!
looks very very good man great job
Thank you!
Awesome job! Might think about adding a strip between the seat cracks to help keep water from getting into your storage
Absolute great job brother ! You did a fantastic job on everything. I commend you for staying with it.
I hope will enjoy it many many hours.
Thank you! I sure will.
I agree the black wheels and fenders add something. Nicely done, looking forward to future video.
Thank you I was worried it wouldn’t look right but then I was happy I did it’
Good find. People in my area want 3 or 4 thousand for a boat like that and likely as not won't have the title for it either.
Thanks yeah I’m glad I was able to get it!
Dam good job
Just stumbled on yr channel n seen both parts of build n u did a awesome job bro, now show us it running in the water my guy!! N b more open , loud n proud
Thank you! Will post a video on the water soon.
I am not a fan of the color red, but damn this is a fine looking boat...
