It's actually disgusting how many gambling ads there are.
They're like the little oracles of the "hockey gods" there to promote anxiety and greed
Among the worst, but I'd say the Tinder and Bumble ads are the absolute definition of cringe
I see a lot of gambling debt issues in the next 5-15 years. It's not only just the ads, but also how its being normalized and promoted by childhood heroes.
Right gambling bad drinking good. Take that BS out the door.
What's the over/under for how many gambling ads they'll be? Brought to you by MGMCaesarKingDuelBets
Spot on about gambling. Very ridiculous amount of focus on it for sports
Never thought I'd miss the beer or other random sponsored ads.
Every time you say Silovs, I hear Shelob, and I picture a giant spider in net.
You see how casually he snatches pucks out of the air when he's on it? I think it might be more apt a nickname than most want to admit...
If that’s the case, us oilers fans have a serious case of arachnophobia….. 😂
Where's Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee when you need them? 😂
he stops pucks with his web
I hear the Beatles: Silovs you, yeah yeah yeah.
Shannon talking about the gambling ads and the first video when i scroll down is an ad for BetMGM
Watch youtube on a computer or console, trust me you'll see less betting ads
“Rabbits eat cardboard, it’s fine”
Get that fiber
The Utah Rabbits?
Hi Shannon. I normally don’t comment on your videos but I just wanted to say I appreciate your channel and fair coverage. This my first year watching a full season of hockey and it’s so much fun and all your videos have really helped me get into the game more and understand it better. Keep up the great work!
I was primarily an NBA fan and it was the ridiculous bias in officiating that actually killed my interest and got me into hockey.
I’m actually relieved because hockey is the best sport in the world and now find it to be a hobby of mine to stay fit!
Oilers, Canucks series is getting personal real quick.
Hopefully, they meet up in the playoffs more often than once every 32 years again.
It’s been personal since game 1 of the season literally.
soucy makes sense but if they are going to fine zadorov for the cross check, why not mcdavid for the slash? both after the whistle and neither to cause injury?
Disclosure: Oilers Fan; I thought Zadorov should be suspended, McDavid and Soucy fined. Soucy's cross check would've been a fairly soft one to the body if Zadorov didn't get involved out of nowhere with a dangerous cross-check from behind. Soucy and McDavid were having a mutual exchange and Zadorov had no business getting involved, at least not with an unexpected cross check to the lower back.
I’m assuming if you want mcdavid fined for the slash, then soucy should also be fined for his slash?
How about every other slash in game?
@@Max-oj8jli have no dog in the race but i’m on the same page, suspend soucy or z and fine the other as well as mcdavid. just find it odd there wasn’t offsetting fines however meaningless they are
McMcMc is a coddled NHL child
For me more interestingly why this is a suspension and a fine for Canucks but dirty high stick with clear intent to injury on Hughes in game 2 isn't a fine? I understand why it wasn't called during the play but why it wasn't called after I don't.
Watched Zadorov with the Flames, and when Van picked him up I said you’ll love the physical play and the touch of offense he brings, but you’ll hate thee give aways and bad penalties.
Didn’t mcdavid two hand slash soucy beforehand?
After Soucy shoved McDavid after the whistle for no reason, and Soucy slashed him right back, he deserves the suspension, hell Zadorov deserved one too but DOPS doesn't really care about player safety
The muff slash in the pants? LOL, good thing Soucy had Zadorov to sucker crosscheck big scary McDavid and save his life.
@@macrost8935you saying a shove warrants a 2 handed slash is crazy bro
@@macrost8935 and what is then your explanation why there is no at least fine for McDevid for high stick on Hughs?
@@macrost8935 shoving players is not a penalty (happens all game around both nets), 2 handed swinging a stick IS actually a penalty, McCrybaby started it and should have got the suspension
Happy for Silovs! I absolutely LOVE IT when almost becomes OUT OF CONTROL and makes name for themselves!
agreed, the gambling stuff is getting old fast! I'll never use those apps or sites, but they are very annoying.
There is no way that someone can think Soucy intended to get him in the face right?
Definitely not. Intent was chest, but result is going to matter most. I expect a 1 game suspension
No, I think Zadorov's check was what put McDavid into that position. But we can't really measure things by intent. I'm not happy about a suspension, but I do get it
“But, judge I didn’t mean to hit a biker when I ran that stop light. So, shouldn’t I only be punished for running the stop light?”
@@JustBob-sw4rf so unfortunately a hockey game is not exactly a traffic incident. Soucy was going for a regular cross check mid-body, and mcdavid fell at the perfect time for him to hit his face. Did you want Soucy to use his super powers and undo his originally acceptable play?
@@icewyre usually hockey plays are measured by intent though. That why a lot of dangerous and harmful plays are deemed as “freak accidents” where nobody is guilty even though they had hurt the other player
Thanks for the daily hockey coverage, as always!
I could not get up in front of thousands of viewers and be as objective as you are Shannon. I'd be in the comment section calling out all the stupid opinions out there (I'm sure some of my opinions are stupid)
I appreciate your content. For how often you talk about hockey, I never find myself complete at odds with what you are saying. You have a balanced take on things. Thank you for your hard work. You add a level of enjoyment to my favorite past time that I am forever grateful for.
Skinner has only had 2 games above .900 these playoffs and has career .881 and 3.49 GAA in 20 total playoff games. The dude is anti-clutch and needs to be stapled to the bench. It's not his fault that the Campbell signing ended up being a dumpster fire and that he got thrust into a position he's not capable of holding but still.
You understand Pickard's the backup right? He's 32 and last night was his first ever appearance in a playoff game.
@@TheHockeyGuy I mean, Silvos is the 3rd string backup and look at him go. He might be 9 years younger but he only had 9 nhl games played (with underwhelming numbers) vs Pickard's 140 (also with somewhat underwhelming numbers). I doubt Pickard ends up saving the Oilers but starting Skinner is just guaranteeing this series goes 3-1 before the game even starts.
@@TheHockeyGuy Skinner just flat out has been bad. His overall playoff numbers are atrocious, but if you take out his 3 straight playoff years beating the Kings, the numbers are even worse! Pickard should be given a start. I would even go as far that Jack Campbell should be given a start over Skinner! Canucks are exposing Skinner for what he is, a big goalie with bad technique and poor goalie hockey IQ.
@@MorriganLugus Skinner has a .877 save % these playoffs. It isn't great but it isn't the worst these playoffs either. I'd go back with Skinner.
@@Tickleyourpickle420
Holy crap! LA had TWO goaltenders with worse save percentages. No wonder they were eliminated in five.
On the other hand, he's the worst goalie still in the playoffs. He's fine as a backup, but he can't be your starter, especially in the playoffs.
It would be hilarious if you put out a shirt that says, “The ref is told that he sucks”
Or “The fans call one, the referee does not”
With the amount of gambling ads during games you can't convince me refs aren't betting on their own games now. They 100% have money on the games
If you're trying to draw line between the acceptance of legalized gambling in sports and the potential for corruption, I agree absolutely. I think all leagues that are trying to make money off of sports betting are asking for serious trouble. It has happened before with illegal gambling, why wouldn't it happen when gambling is legal?? But I do think that if you're going to suspect the refs, you have to include everyone including players betting on their own games.
I seriously doubt refs would risk their career over a few dollars
@@nyernA few dollars?
When they can directly influence a games outcome, I think they could be putting down more than a “few dollars”.
Allowing gambling on NHL games was a foolish decision.
It opens the door for corruption.
There has been legalized gambling on the games forever, it was just conducted in one place. I'm not seeing how making it more accessible would lead to corruption. If there was a question, the ref's finances would be analyzed. It isn't like they can call 1-800-BETTING and get away with something that they couldn't have gotten away with in the past.
So there’s a fine for cross checking mcdavid but a sucker punch that sends the bruins captain out of the series is nothing?
The nhl is a joke of a league
Yeah, and speed bagging an alternate captains face is no penalty.
The league is so inconsistent I hate it even when Marchand is on the recieving end and I'm a Canucks fan who doesn't like Marchand
they have to protect their golden boy
yeah I don't really understand what the DOPS is doing this playoffs. Asleep at the wheel
Not only that they took 48 hrs to release the angle proving it was a sucker punch. Coward league. Coward officials. Bruins should show up and stay on the bench. No reason to play a game when the rules arent followed or applied. Basic principles of play
Bububububuttttt Paulitician Maurice said it wasn’t a punch and Bennetts goal was a good goal!!!
I remember latvia's insane run at WC last year. absolutely insane underdog run. in the net, for me an unknown goalie. Silovs. what a story
imo we need to have a conversation with our elected officials about protecting our children from becoming addicted to gambling .
Better yet: parents should have said discussion with their children
Do you have billions of dollars to make them care?
Money is worthless compared to familial relationships
Then you would have to make it illegal again and go back to the way things were when I was a kid and Nevada was the only state that had legalized casino gambling. You'd have to through the state legislatures that are now raking off of legalized gambling, to say nothing of the tribal governments that have made a lot of money from their casinos. Rather than the politicians, I would rather have a stern talk with the professional sports leagues that making these deals with the Devil to profit from legal sports betting. It's inevitable that there will be another Black Sox scandal, mark my words.
@@fphlflash did that discussion work with smoking or drinking ? or were strict laws put in place to protect us from our self ?
limiting the cost of care by eliminating the addiction at the source?
Time to pull Skinner and play Jack Campbell. He has a history of repairing his game in the AHL and then backstopping his way to the NHL
If they go down 3-1, I'd say give him a shot. Downside is if he loses, he gets crucified for it even if it's not his fault.
Gambling ads getting a bit too annoying. It's hockey not horse racing.
How about count the number of times the word "bet" is shown or said?
Like imagine if every game meant seeing "smoke" 100 times. You can't drink a beer in ads, but this is fine?
Could be worse... my parents used to have an american dish and it was incredible to me how many drug ads were on the thing. The big pharma industry is even more whorish than the legal gambling industry!
I don't think the NHL officiating rigs the game for one team vs another, I just think they are incredibly bad at their job
It's interesting what stats people pick and choose to recognize. Skinner had some of the most unlucky goals beat him in the Kings series. They were non-factor goals that didn't end up hurting them but they definitely hurt his numbers. Now because he has won the same round twice, people say okay take out those games you won and then look how bad the numbers are. Well of course the stats in losses are worse. That's like asking a sales guy "On average, how many units did you sell a month? Okay now take away every month where you finished in the top of your team". He hasn't been his best, no denying that. However, more with Skinner than any other goalie in the league, when the team wins it's completely the team in front of him, and when they lose, its all the goalie. He was a huge reason they are in the playoffs.
In what world should this be suspension lmfao NHL never stop being a joke of a league
I feel bad for Cabbie. He had a real job years ago. Now he is their betting expert. I'd bet money he doesn't even have a university math degree.
In regards to the officiating in the NHL I don't think they are favouring a team I just think they aren't doing a good job.
lol 306 to 4. Beautiful.
I will say, Cole won't come out of the lineup but without Soucy that largely makes it seem that Juulsen will slot in, which will have Cole moving over to the left side, where I think he plays a lot better. The key will be that Juulsen not focus too much on hitting. But it does mean the rejoining of the Chaos Zoo (Myers-Giraffe + Zadorov-Rhino) which could be a lot of fun tomorrow night.
"Fans call one. The Refs don't". Black lettering on a grey hoodie. Would buy one in a second.
Yes, commenting to push this up. 👆
“Imagine if they did that for alcohol”
Like all the beer commercials? And the Jäegermeister ads on the boards?
How do you feel about Soucy being suspended while Hyman's cross check to Zadorov's head which resulted in stitches 1 second after and Hyman doesn't even get a fine?
Oil get reprimanded at some point. Karma
Hope you're feeling better this morning Shannon. Not sarcasm! I really mean it.
Regarding the ads every single game, I actually made a post on my Twitter about this. It's so disgusting how many gambling ads there are on the television, and even on the livestreams (I'm looking at YOU, Sportsnet!). Every single time a commercial is up, every single time, it's a sports betting commercial. They're so cringe! My country has enough addicts as it is, and children watch the game! They're creating future (and even current) addicts at an alarming pace shoving it in people's faces every single time a commercial break occurs and it's distasteful just how offensive some of them are (especially the one that constantly makes fun of Americans; You could TELL it's completely phony and two-faced). It's also so dishonest and disturbing because they have all kinds of things that make it look like you could get rich instantly when really you run the very serious (and probable) risk of bankrupting yourself.
Are you new to gambling? Never been to Vegas, I presume?
Even ESPN has a branded gambling site now.
@@nykrindfw1743 And they're owned by Walt Disney. Crazy huh?
So hits from behind on Petterson and Mikhayev, dangerous slew foot by Kane on Hughes and missed double minor on Mcdavid, but Soucey and Canucks the ones getting supsensions, checks out
Not to mention the low blow on Hoglander
Who ended up missing the next game
Guess the Canucks didn't pay the ref mafia it's kickback. Rules for thee, not for me!
There’s been missed calls both ways all series long deal with it, Canucks have gotten more benefit of calls even with the soucy suspension.
Completely bull suspension. Any other player starts a scrum and recives retaliation nothing happens.
McDavid didn’t start the scrum lmao. Soucy shoved him unprovoked after the game ended (classless play) then both exchange slashes. Then Zadarov and Soucy cross check him hard. Yeah anyone getting suspended for that.
@@obi-wankenobi8413 You realise Hyman then crosschecks Zadorov in the head right after this right? How are you Oilers fans this delusional to this just being McBaby getting whatever he needs? Go back to crying Bettman for favors.
I love the breakdown of "Maybe im not a Benn fan"
Either Zadorov or Soucy were getting a game, nucks would probably take what's developed. Hyman has to be looked at though, surely there's more intent to the head area there.
I can understand the suspension to Soucy, but if that's the standard then shouldn't Hyman get one too? He cross checked Zadorov in the head just a few seconds later, and Zadorov reportedly had to get stitches as a result. And if you hit Zadorov in the head, you were REALLY going high.
How does Soucy get a suspension after the Bennet stuff and the nutmag on Hoglander get nothing. Crazy Stuff
I can't find your review of Islanders season and what needs to be done for next season. I've seen lots of videos of teams that didn't qualify and teams that were eliminated. Can't find Isles. Please someone send me the link.
How is McDavid not getting any attention to having started that mess with a two handed stick swing?!?!
If they start calling soft slashes like that, they need to call every single cross check in front of the net.
That was hardly anything. Where he hit him is very well padded too. A cross check to the face is a cross check to the face though. Not much padding there.
@@user-rk8jr9sq6b it was a two handed slash after being pushed. That's not nothing, that's the reaction of a child. But of course McJesus can never do wrong.
@@jejsemin33a childish reaction is very different from a dangerous one. McDavid should probably receive a fine for that slash. The Soucy crosscheck I have less of an issue with, but I think Zadorov should have gotten a game.
I’m not saying Soucy and Zadorov are innocent…far from it. But when Hoglander gets pitchforked in the groin, without anything from the league…when Hughes is actively bleeding from a high stick from McDavid, without anything from either the refs or the league…I can hardly say that I’m surprised at their actions.
Even so, Vancouver is lucky they aren’t down 3-0, they’ve been outplayed so badly.
hiring a coach who had one lucky season and expecting miracles is a very leafs thing to do
Extremely far from luck. The only reason Berube's success declined is because the GM got rid of literally 90-95% of the championship team. Blues gambled with massive contracts on young unproven talent and ended up getting screwed.
Yeah Berube was an incredible coach, coming from a blues fan. Blues pretty much immediately lost most of our great d-men in Petro, Gunnarson, Bouwmeester, and Dunn after the cup. We also lost a good amount of forwards over the years although that’s been a slower decline than our defense dropping off the face of the earth.
Would of been 2 'lucky' seasons if not for covid. Tell me you dont watch hockey without telling me you dont watch hockey.
@@anthonyfaccaro7118 As an Avs fan, the leafs were the only team I through we could lose to in that cup run. They pushed us the hardest that season
Soucy looked like he was trying to get his stick at Connors mid section. With how low his stick was I don't think he expected Connor's face to be down so far. Interesting that stick to the face is hearing worthy but Connor getting Quinn in the face, which looked on video actually intentional, isn't even a penalty. 🤔
with so many gambling ads there just trying to get people addicted and losses are there money
When do we get to see fentanyl ads you think?
Given that weed is going to be Schedule 3 soon, that’ll likely be the next thing.
I don't buy the "officials favoring one team more than the other" narrative, but the overall consistency, quality, and response (or lack thereof) from DoPS make it difficult to take this league seriously anymore. I've watched hockey for more than 25 years now and I can't remember a time when it was ever this poorly managed. The refs and DoPS need to be held accountable and answer to the media.
True. This series has had high checks, hits from behind, slew foots, 2 handed slashes and a spear to the testicles but an accidental high cross check is where the line finally gets drawn. Jokers in DOPS
Do you know if its possible for a ref to refuse to ref a game? I have to say if i was a ref i would refuse to ref games for the Canucks or the bruins because I would worry that I would be biased
Gambling isn't even legal in my state, but it's still annoying just how many ads there are about it. It also raises questions aboht the league's integrity.
But nothing for McJesus who instigated the fight
But you can't touch mcdork because you'll get a penalty if not a suspension. That's part of the reason I hate the oilers the most of any team
That's because he is without sin 😂
In what world does a crosscheck to the face of a player who is losing balance equate to a slash?
@@lundhead Soucy was already going for the crosscheck when Zadorov pushed McDavid from behind hence he connected with McDavid's head rather than the chest.
Soucy actually instigated it when he shoved McDavid after the whistle
i don't normally chime in on playoff drama that being said i do feel compelled tday. i am a lifelong oilers fan so self analysis is more than a hobby. the issues? skinner? depth? bad pk? beyond reproach is the pp, oh and we are outshooting vancouver by a ton. and we have offensive zone posession numbers off the charts. every game a tight affair we're down 2 -1. i put my office pool dough on oilers in seven. its early. great channel shannon. even though you're a nuckle fan i enjoy your content immensely.
Ridiculous that Soucy gets a suspension for that when McDavid has gotten away with everything this series. Literally two hand slashes after Soucy pushes him, but nothing for him? Outrageous
What are you watching? I don't know if you're making it up or just remembering it wrong, but Soucy shoved him, McDavid slashed him, Soucy slashed him, then Zadorov and Soucy crosschecked him.
Y’all’re acting like Mcdavo did some full strength golf swing of a slash, that swipe was the most average after the whistle slash imaginable
Are you equally upset about the reactionary slash that soucy gave mcd, after mcds reactionary slash (from that push)????
@@Marixa1979 Canucks land is editing out the actual start of the scrum because they can't handle the truth of the situation
@@Marixa1979gotta agree with you on this one I dont understand the outrage at this suspension. Should've ended with an exchange of slashes and words but in comes Zadorov like an idiot. Soucy ends up getting McDavid with a brutal stick to the jaw. Boneheaded play and worthy of suspension. Now we'll have Soucy out and Juulsen in... great
Soucy and Zadorov are calls made (and what about McDavid swinging his stick at Soucy?) and what about all those calls missed?
Love going to games and having people tell me how bad the officials are, and telling them it's not a penalty if we trip over the blue line. And it is a penalty if we hit them in the face. This is pretty straightforward.
Last night when the camera angle would change to a ice level camera, we'd see the house ads instead of the overlay, so we got twice the gambling ads. Double density gambling ads. It was awesome.
Skinner until 2 goals are scored in 7 shots (par for course right now, which is ridiculous), then you pull.
Hi Shannon. I completely agree with you about all of the gambling advertising. It’s everywhere in sports broadcasting. I would also include the ads for “help” with gambling in this list. I find them disingenuous to say the least. I also agree that gambling commercials should be categorized with alcohol and tobacco advertising. My dad used to say that, if you need to bet on a game or sport to make it interesting, then you are really not that interested in sports. I love the channel and thank you for making everyone feel welcome, even us long suffering Toronto fans.
Looking at the history with the Perron and Reilly suspensions the NHL is going to suspend any crosscheck to the face. Which I'm fine with regardless of who started it or who the antagonist or recipient is or how heated things were.
306 - 4 and all we needed was 4!!

Have to disagree with you Shannon on going with Skinner next game. His save percentage is .793 this series! But if I was a Canucks I would sure want him back in!
Watching Skinner play should be discouraging to say the least. On cross ice passes for one-timers he's never in the same zip code. Every other goalie will at least get to a point where it takes an accurate shot to score, but he's still in the middle of the net on his way across. I don't know if he is just terrible at pushing off or if he doesn't pick up the pass and react fast enough. He's okay as long as the shooters are hitting him in the logo, but I don't remember him making one above average save. I'd go with Pickard to give him a shot and pump some life into their defense.
@jefflarson1652 100% agree. His positioning has been terrible. Game 1 this round every goal he was out of position. 2nd year in a row Oilers being outclassed in net by the other teams backup.
McDavid has plot armor
Yesterday: 1-1
Record: 32-26
Today: NYR, COL
I'm a Bruins fan, but I'm not very upset about the bad officiating last night because I've seen it for decades and I know that the Panthers will probably win this series regardless. That being said, I would think that between his antics this season and intentionally injuring Matthew Knies last year, Sam Bennett should be getting more attention from the Department of Player Safety.
Also, see: Cousins, Nick. enough said...
McDavid going unpunished for his second slash in two games... shocker. If they dont punish him when he draws blood, then dont expect it any other time... its really disgraceful how little he has done to earn the amount of coddling he has clearly gotten
4:08 thanks Shannon
I agree on your take re gambling.
Hyman did worse to Zadorov after the crosscheck. It's ignored because McBaby is the golden Boi with all the attention.

I'm on the fence. I think he COULD be a great coach for them but the other side is that even if he isn't... What other "good fit" options are really out there?? 2 BIG things they need is a better defensive coach/co-ordinator and an actual PowerPlay Coach
Go Stars!
Can we have a betting line for how many gambling ads will be shown/second?
4 posts for the Oilers and Silovs with 42 saves. That was nuts Canucks got that one. Good job on special teams too, from an Oilers fan.
The only fans who think the officiating is good are Florida fans cuz it’s obvious the league wants them to win… we “gotta grow the game” though so don’t criticize the refs
False
So did McBum get fined for his slash?
I think the Soucy cross check came across worse (no pun intended), because of the Zadorov cross check moments prior to it. I don't think the hit to the head was intentional as it looked. I think the suspension will be like 2-3 games, rather than 5+
2-0 yesterday, 35-22 overall. Picks: NYR/ DAL
Notbing for the spear on Hogs at all typical NHL reffing total garbage
Drai saying the post comment is stupid even worse he says it after a loss
What's terrible is the way people interpreted what he said. It's kind of obvious that if he doesn't think it's goaltending then he thinks it's an execution problem. The question was stupid.
Some of these takes about McDavid's slash are brutal. It was a little more than a tap and on a very well padded area. I also don't personally think it looks like Soucy meant to catch him in the face.
it's about McD starting it off with a 2 handed lumberjack chop , the guy coulda skated away back to his team but he just had to go slashing. McD started it, Canucks finished it. In all reality if it wasn't McD, the instigating player (McD) would be the one getting the suspension for post game shenanigans.
@@GreenBeanGreenBean Do you have any examples of someone getting suspended for a small chop to the side of the pants?
@@user-rk8jr9sq6b the suspension is due to it being post-game.... which is only reason Soucy got 1 game when he shoudn't have.... because it was after the game ended. NHL player safety office suspended the wrong person but they gotta protect McBaby lol.
Tis a normal 2 minute slashing call during the game and that gets called all the time.
Time to call up Campbell guys.
Sucks for Soucy, Edmonton will be happy that Cole will be playing more. Man's helped Edmonton get 3 goals
Love the comment on NBA officiating!!! So true!
Hi Shannon, you should probably report this since it seems to be glanced over by every other publication right now, but there was another incident of violence from a Rangers fan that left a guy unconscious outside PNC Arena Saturday. Video showed two Rangers fans in the immediate aftermath of attacking a Hurricanes fan and leaving him lying unconscious. Fans from both teams rushed to help him and the police are searching for the attackers, but it might be time to talk about fan animosity.
McDavid 2 hand swing on Soucy? And Soucy was going to cross check him in the chest and since Zadorov pushed McDavid, the Soucy cross check looks worse than intended…
Huge fan of Zadorov and love his compete level, he’s built for the playoffs! Resign him and GO CANUCKS GO!🐳💯
Nobody can really honestly think he meant to crosscheck McDavid in the face, right? I thought it obvious that Zadorov’s crosscheck pushed him forward and Soucy’s crosscheck was meant for the chest but hit his lowered head. Do I think it was still a penalty and even possibly major? Absolutely. A suspension? No chance…
EXACTLY how I saw it. Thank you. If anyone was the bad guy on that play, it was Big Zed.
Problem is that they are dangerous, I mean look at Drai, he's not 100% due to the crosschecks from Zadorov already, and in addition, they did these crosschecks after the game was over, so a major was nothing, meaning they did this knowing there wouldn't be any consequences, bad precedence. McDavid's slash was in response to Soucy's slash and it would have been fine had it ended there, but the d men decided to up the ante.
@RobDucharme BIG ZED, yes, we are in Canada.
I saw on CZcams today the odds for the next headcoach of the jets. #1 Scott arniel, #2 Todd McLellan, #3 was Craig berube. I don't know how accurate that is but it was interesting to see
Love you THG, you know puck and go Canucks baby!💙
Avs fans are way more upset with the Benn hit than Avs players are. Better to let it go imo. Go Avs!
I didn’t like it (not calling it dirty) but at the same time, had already forgotten until I read your comment, lol
Is Mcdavid getting suspended for the slash after the whistle?
Do we want to stop and think that a slash is nothing compared to a cross check to the neck or? Stay biased?
@@olepic765McDavid FAFO what happens when you instigate a fight
@@olepic765why is he double handed slashing after the game lmfao stay biased?
@@soulknife20stop acting like soucy didn’t instantly slash back. I’d assume that’s equivalent. Then he went above with a nasty cross check. You don’t have to be an oilers fan to see that it was wrong.
Average Canucks fan
Shannon, are you not forgetting the scrum before the hideous transactions?
I'm talking about the two hand slash by McDavid and then the X-Check by Hyman on Zadorov's face.
Soucy started the scrum and hymans cross check was after McDavid gets double cross checked, should he just not protect his guy?
@@obi-wankenobi8413 Not like that.
@@professordogwood8985 then like what? ☠️ cross check a guy in the back then get cross check backed
@@obi-wankenobi8413 Well, if we're suspending face x-checks, Hyman had even more time to premeditate his actions and carried them through without interference.
In terms of mens rea, Hyman had a guiltier mind than Soucy.
Perhaps that's two games.
@@professordogwood8985 then go cry to the league about it and not to CZcams
With all the gambling I would think the league would make teams give a detailed injury report like the NFL. Hockey only makes a fraction of the popularity and tv money but still if I'm betting on a game I would like to know how injured the players are if they are still in line up. Any thoughts?
306-4... 😂
I thought in person hearing only equaled a suspension not a regular hearing
Forget the potential "bias" of officials (it exists, AT LEAST, in the form of "game management", meaning that calls are not made 'by the book', but based on personal decisions regarding everything from the score, the importance of the game, the number of calls made on each team so far in the game, the players involved, the missed call that gets even'ed up, etc.) This cannot be denied, so there's no need to defend the outragious conduct of officials in The NHL.
So Hyman crosschecking Zadorov was nothing. Ryan spearing hoglander in the nuts with plenty of evidence was nothing. Kane sloofooting Hughes was nothing. McDavid was just as much at fault as Zadorov at the end of the game but thats okay because he got hurt.
Canucks still win the series
Such a sick hat.
Shannon for Commissioner!
