The bible says not to pray with many words, or babble like those who think they will be heard because of their many words. It's not meant to be performative. I pray that you experience prayers that are genuine to you and your life and situation, and that you'd even pray them yourself one day- for yourself and others. 🙏🏾

This, however, is the sort of interaction that reminds me that I should never throw the baby out with the bathwater. So many people with religious faith just living their best life and trying to better the world. Their religion, while a part of them, never defines them. By that I mean I like to think even if these 2 were atheists or whatever they would still be good peoples.
