Bro as one of the younger millenials, I feel compelled to correct you. Most of that vocabulary was used by us way back then, but internet culture wasn't fully embraced by society. Now it's the norm. These kids will probably create their own version of cool by the time they start turning 18, 21.

Slang is no longer local. With the internet and social media, people begin all talking the same. That's also why regional accents are dying out. The words we use and how we say them are all coming together as one. To me, it's a little sad in a way because places lose unique identifiers. And lots of people don't even understand how these things originated. Like this kid thinking "blood" is a "rizz" term.
@@bbbeanIT’S “BLUD” HOLY COW IT’S BLUD NOT BLOOD AAAAAAAAAAAAAA but ye, accents are pretty, and i don’t want people losing them ;-; Also, Rizz is short for charisma. Like… cha-RIZZ-ma.

"You know Jesus?" "Yeah, i love him" This made me so happy, and seeing these kids being far more confident than i ever was at their age gives me so much hope
Great video! These kids are awesome. Felt good to hear honesty and good hearts. They are New Yorkers, everyone's language is everyone's language....double for America! #meltingpot!!!!
gen alpha has adopted more modern humor but its gone from like pre-irony ('let him cook' originally used in a sincere way; before it became a meme) irony ('let him cook' is used as a joke) post-irony ('let him cook' is now used sincerely; by these kids for example) but its not even funny because they aren't aware of the previous ironic layer
Feel sad for these kids who are being shaped by a culture where sincerity and irony aren't separate anymore. Meanings of what they're saying is lost on them, but perhaps they'll learn as they grow.
You can blame Gen Z and their black little hearts for this crap. They're so insecure that they can't bring themselves to be themselves without hiding under 15 layers of irony protection, because they're so ready to just tear each other apart for being "cringe." I cannot stand that about them.
I have 3 Gen alpha's at home... they aren't THIS extra, but it's really freakin hard keeping up with their slang, slangs get old every month and you're embarassing if you say a month old slang. x.x They are extremely smart and understanding and to be honest I'm excited for the future of these kids. They know more than we could imagine at their age, wiser too.
I believe any kid even gen z kids who had access to smart stuff on the Internet at a young age were also smart or wise at that age. Like I remember when I was twelve I moved to a private school that had so many kids from wealthy families and so a lot of them were exposed to the Internet compared to the kids at my old school and so I immediately noticed a sharp contrast with how well they is understood stuff. I literally felt so dumb in my first year cause these kids talked about all kind of stuff like politics and this may be an unpopular opinion but shows on disney and cartoon network really broadened kid's views and I think that's better than just playing outside for entertainment. We played a lot too but I believe the Internet at that age is also pretty good for a child’s mental growth. Sometimes I feel like older generations are just mad at genz and gen alpha for being online too much just cause kids of these generations are much smarter than they were at that age although the Internet of course should be regulated.
@@suslarry7it's just that knowledge often comes at the price of happiness and I think you clearly see that in Gen Z. I guess people are just worried that we miss out on happy experiences while worrying about all the horrible things happening in the world.
What I've learnt as a teacher: Just listen. You're old so they're not expecting that you get anything. Unlike gen z they don't think it's CrInGy or worth mockery if you don't know what roblox is or who is this week's top influencer but when you do get those things they are usually happy and will talk to you about them. The best part of my job is being kind of well versed in some of that stuff so when I discovered that they like the backrooms I could explain what liminal spaces are and why are they scary (sans the monsters and lewd stuff). I'm a 1992 millennial and I despise how the adults when I was little would say everything was "s4tanic" or bad for the brain or corrupting young people. We would be into Pokemon or Nintendo or the Backstreet Boys and there would always be some Karen around yelling about how horrible our childhood was being because of that. I strive for children not having to go through that anymore.
As a person around the age of these kids, they remind me of my classmates. I believe they have acquired their vocabulary from internet memes and tiktok. Edit: Fuckkk why did this comment have to blow up Months later I see just how "cringe" this statement is.
For me, I think its great that these children are on a path to rise above the situation we have all gotten ourselves into with their masterful confidence. We can all learn something from them! Lets all let the tides turn into a blessing on earth. We are mighty!

@@jayarikishii You meant “them” right? “Young” does not necessarily imply “woke” though. Although they could use “they/them” as a neutral, which is classic and correct English grammar regardless of modern gender theory. We have no record of Jesus identifying as non binary anyway, so in the former scenario, why would any “woke” person misgender Jesus? “He is them” does not make sense regardless. If somebody wants to misgender Jesus, or use non-binary pronouns, they would not do it in only half the sentence.

As a 26 year old, and someone who considers themselves still young. This makes me feel so old. How have kids changed so much in such a short space of time?
As a 34 year old, I've been there. You get used to it. I don't feel as old as I am, and it's weird when I realize I'm as old my high school swim coach was back in the day. A tiny bit of advice I'd like to give if you don't mind is that you've reached the age where your body will start to run down and wear out if you aren't taking care of it properly. If you eat a clean diet, exercise regularly, and sleep properly you can maintain a feeling of youth and vitality as you continue growing older. Wish you the best, and good luck with all of your life's pursuits.
I think what’s more sad are all the comments hating on them. All they’re doing is being kids. They seem authentic and good natured as well. At least they’re more authentic than adults. It’s comments like these that ends up crushing a child’s spirit. Makes them jaded, adopt a persona where they can no longer be or express their true selves.
@@Okmanl I think that's fair and definitely true. I think most people aren't thinking the kids are going to watch this because they assume they're connected as anonymously as they are presented... but honestly it's typical "Back in my day" behavior that every generation does. Young kids don't get that though. Hopefully the children aren't pointed to this video because the video's objective does seem to point out how different they are than we probably expect (and kind of set up those kinds of comments to be made).
yeah i'm 37 and i had a friend like that kid when i was 12; acting similarly around older girls and thinking he was a player as well because he was harmless and they thought he was adorable my friend ended up being painfully closeted until like 30 though, and most of this sort of performance had likely been deflection; hope that isn't what's going on with this kid
OH-MY-GOODNESS❤! When I read the caption for the vid, I honestly thought I would be watching something worrisome. As a member of Generation-X (recently turned 50), and having a son who is Gen-Alpha (recently turned 13) I felt compelled to watch. So glad I did as it made my evening! The fact these boys exude confidence (not arrogance) at this age speaks volumes. And they still have time to grow😉. If basing Gen-Alpha solely on these 2 adorable kids then there is nothing to worry! IT’S KIDS WITH W-O-K-E PARENTS WE NEED TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT😳🤭!!
Agreed. The woke parenting needs to be addressed. teachers are now speaking up about the abuse and disrespect they get from their students, as well as how poorly students of now (gen alpha) are doing in their academics.
“Their confidence speaks volumes” lmao you wanna know what speaks volumes? The fact so many people comment on how outgoing they are and how they can talk to anyone… isn’t that fucking normal dawg? They are children obviously they should be outgoing it’s the ones who remain confident in their skin that make an impact.
They are adorable and wholesome in their own way. But also confident and bright, give them a chance guy they are just starting let them develop how they want to talk lol
33 year old Millennial here, my first thoughts on this video? These are children, they haven't formed their own persona yet. Also, I don't believe we are all that different, we all tend to feel and want the same things in similar stages of our lives. True our external influences and stimulae may differ, but at the core we all think we're going to change the world in our teens, and we all think we have everything figured by our early 20s. And eventually, if we get enough wisdom, we all come to realization that the only thing we can truly hope to do is to live a gentle life, have enough to live by, and maybe if we're lucky and kind, positively impact the journey of another. Generational slang? Fashion, latest tech, media consumption...yes these are all things that shape our lives definitely, but again, at the very core, I think we all feel and want the same things, just with slightly different covers. This movement of creating labels for different groups of people, separate us more than unite us, all that's happening is generating this patronizing feeling on each other.
Despite all the slang, the jokes and the fuss he seemed quite sincere. I feel like there was some thought and passion behind what he was doing and saying. He is living.
Most of the slang that he uses has been around for decades. It’s just these suburban white people disconnected from urban culture and living in their private little bubbles
Also im not just saying that just because, I’m saying that because I’ve seen people like this in my grade and they are not that nice to the less popular kids
My son is like this, he's 14. It seems toxic but they're honestly just having fun. It's lighthearted. He has me doubled over laughing daily. And he loves Jesus too. This makes me smile. You see a lot of kids this age acting like this with each other, and still are able to be super polite and respectful.
This just gave me war flashbacks of when us Gen Zs used to say "fail", "YOLO", "big yikes", "ded", "I can't even" , "I oop-", "yeet", "savage", "bruh" and so many others lost with time.
The ability to navigate the ‘appropriation’ with such ease but at the same time acknowledgement is amazing to watch. No right or wrong, just humanity 👏
I'm 46 and honestly it seems the only difference between these two and my buddy and me, back in the late 80's and early 90's., was that we didn't have millions of people watching us. This is exactly what we did everyday lol Times change people don't.
Thank you for a balanced and simple perspective. I'm only 23 but still I don't see why people struggle to accept that kids are kids, teens are teens, the slang will change but the personalities of the age bracket won't
Im only in my 20's but these 2 kids have a smilier energy of people in old 60's 70's videos just chilling, in no rush, talking to strangers, speaking their mind, etc. Sounds a bit drastic, but I have a lot more hope for the future than I thought I would after watching this.
These are rich homeschooled kids in NY. Not indicative of most children in the US. Unfortunately increasing poverty due to stagnant wages, and raising costs of living almost guarantees other children don't have any time with busy parents and are essentially raised by a phone and tiktok culture, which is why they speak like black people, because that's what the Internet presents to them as cool.
They are a bit cringe, but maybe our broken generation managed to give them the confidence we lacked Love to see it, and love to see people confidently being who they want to be.

Just give it 15 years, what they are today will be the opposite in twice their age from now. This redhead kid is a proper shit talker, even when I was his age I wasn’t that cocky and I was the king back then, overly confident, always cracking genuine jokes lifting everybody up, but then the mad chaos of the world overtook me over the years. When you’re a kid you don’t know anything though you think you know and are easy about everything, but your world is very narrow, especially at 13, your consciousness is still in development, they live in a proper illusion as we speak, but when they will come to consciousness about their mortality and how things really work in this life, it’s gonna hit them hard and the high energy they have today will turn opposite. It’s gonna be ugly.

Oh please. "They know more than we could imagine at their age."? Speak for yourself.
@@suslarry7it's just that knowledge often comes at the price of happiness and I think you clearly see that in Gen Z. I guess people are just worried that we miss out on happy experiences while worrying about all the horrible things happening in the world.

Unlike gen z they don't think it's CrInGy or worth mockery if you don't know what roblox is or who is this week's top influencer but when you do get those things they are usually happy and will talk to you about them.

Define woke.

He literally told a random stranger he loved her and him
The ability to navigate the ‘appropriation’ with such ease but at the same time acknowledgement is amazing to watch. No right or wrong, just humanity 👏
I'm 46 and honestly it seems the only difference between these two and my buddy and me, back in the late 80's and early 90's., was that we didn't have millions of people watching us.
This is exactly what we did everyday lol
Times change people don't.
Thank you for a balanced and simple perspective. I'm only 23 but still I don't see why people struggle to accept that kids are kids, teens are teens, the slang will change but the personalities of the age bracket won't
This is reassuring.. Thankyou...
This🔥🔥🔥🔥
Totally agree
These boys are so adorable. That redhead is confident. I am so surprised anyone still says "what up blood?"
There is still an element of innocence
I agree - charisma off the charts!
Lol I’m confused on why he’s talking like that, millennials still use it to joke around
I think it's blud, so its a new thing.
Its funny until he says it to a crip
Im happy to see these comments, most people just hate on the next generation for some reason. We were all young
Dude filming video starts filming video 😭😭💀💀
Not lying kid. You kinda made me feel old. AND. Super inspired. Go get it kids.
Life is great as a a kid. It gets worse when you realize whats really going on.
I’m with you 🤝
They are a bit cringe, but maybe our broken generation managed to give them the confidence we lacked
Love to see it, and love to see people confidently being who they want to be.
@@rascal016 they don't know who they want to be, they never got that far. They just copied what they thought was cool online. Hate to see it.
“You think I got rizz?”
“How old are you?”
“I’m 13”
“He’s old enough” 😭😭😭 I can’t lmaooo
These guys Rock. As a Black man im hopeful of the future because of kids like these they weren't swayed by the interviewers tactics. But they are young so its pass, in sure the rizz will refine itself wif time. Focus on mastering IT
Everyone here is trashing on these kids, but honestly, they're acting exactly like how I remember middle schoolers acting. Honestly, I kind of wish I was less of a nerd and was more like them, these guys are so full of life and energy- I'm just tired all the time
im lowkey jealous of how confident and social these kids are at such a young age
Yeah they are better at talking to people than me and im almost 18😭. Im so socially awkward loll
They're just arrogant lol
@@fredlada1634yeah same shit happened to me just turned 20 and it’s odd looking back seeing how much has changed even though as time based it didn’t feel like anything did. I think they act this way because nothing truly bad has happened to them yet. Nothing has caused them to feel real fear or loss. They haven’t even had there heartbroken yet. People say that shit builds character but it really just breaks you down and takes little pieces from you till you’re a shell with nothing inside
yup@@fredlada1634
