@@aleletigo3820 To be fair, Darwin didn’t incorporate divine intervention into his research on evolution.
I have a theory for that, maybe the oceans become more dangerous, like with the oceans expansion new and more dangerous aquatic creatures where born, forcing the Zora's to evolve into birds in order to survive. In wind waker we saw some crazy water creatures so I think that's what happened

My theory: there’s proof that all 3 timelines are now existing in this game, so sometime in the past 10,000 years the timelines conjoined. Ganon, while sealed away in multiple timelines, managed to find a way to fuse all timelines together and gain theoretically 3x his normal power. He then is preparing his most formidable army in Zelda history: the angry cuccos, and will entirely wipe out all existence with his unstoppable army.
This is beautiful

Its explained best in the The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia where theres an actual chart with all the events
it’s because of the way they explain it tbh
Too be Fair reading Quantum Physics notebooks is would legitimately make this easier to understand, as Quantum physics can usually be related to everything existing and also not existing at the exact same time Eg. Schrodinger's cat, and could possibly factor all timelines simultaneously creating BOTW.
This is why these games were never supposed to exist in the same time line, If I recall correctly the creators were kind of pressured into trying to make them all connect by the fandom.

I've played "Link to the Past" and "Links Awakening" in addition to "Ocarina of Time". I had no idea I was playing down the path where Link didn't win in Ocarina. Wow.
people may have just made that detail up. unless that detail is specifically confirmed by nintendo, it's possible that there was just a timeline where there was no ocarina of time hero, which would have played out the same. Rather than link actually being killed.
Link has always "won" Ocarina. It just that in that time line he doesnt exist anymore because he was sent back in time as a child, thus starting a new timeline

But that just theory
A GAME THEORY
Botw: a game where you don't even need a master sword to destroy "Ganon".
This video explained it clearly, so allow me to butcher it... there's a top side and an under side, botw happened 10k years later on the top side. Botw 2 is going to explain what was happening on the under side during those 10k years, and why the ganon that emerged on the top side was just a scourge. Botw is a prelude to a new time line, and they have started out 100 years into the new timeline on purpose.
Well, we didn’t know that Calamity Ganon wasn’t actually Ganon. Calamity Ganon *was* destroyed for good, but he was just a projection of the real Ganon (at least that’s what the BotW2 trailer implies).
remember the time travel theory
It’s easy to assume the Hylian Civil War was fought to inherit the secrets of the temple of time from the ousted royal family, thus cinching a claim over the triforce. I also always imagined a young gannondorf was somehow involved in this, and upon their defeat was cast into the desert by king hyrule.

Everyone assume Link is defeated by Ganon in the "Hero is defeated" timeline. I like to think that Hyrule was doomed when Link is killed by chickens.
that is probably what happens
Lol
Or gets killed by the very first deku scrub
I think it's because it requires Ganondorf becoming Demon King Ganon (pig form) before Link's death.
As he stays in this form in the entire downfall timeline.
Its cannon that link dies in the final battle against ganon.
I like to believe that the convergence event that brought the timelines together was Ganon's escape. He would've been too weak in any of the other timelines to resurrect or beak his seal, so through sheer will and/or maybe Demise's curse he was able to channel the energy needed to break free by taking from all timeline's what power he had in those timelines. This break out caused the convergence of all timelines and then eventually BoTW happened.

There’s no way Nintendo actually had this planned from the start.
This entire timeline smacks of retcon.
They didn’t from the very beginning, but it has been around since the late 90s, thought at that time only internally at Nintendo. It doesn’t “smack” of retcon because all games after Ocarina have been made in the context of the timeline at Nintendo, so it hasn’t been retrconning, it’s just been story telling

I think a couple of the classic games of nes/snes are in the Nintendo switch virtual console. Also I def recommend you play OOT and MM. imo those r the two best games in the franchise by far
If you’ve only played BotW, you really REALLY need to play at least a couple of the other games. BotW is far from the best Zelda game. Ocarina of Time is an absolute masterpiece that puts BotW to SHAME. Skyward sword is probably the most fun I’ve had in a Zelda game. Twilight Princess is the darkest Zelda and does that darkness the best of any Zelda games. Wind Waker is just amazing. If you really want to be a fan of the series and understand what a Zelda game is like, you should really play any (or ideally all) of the above mentioned games on either emulators par the original platform. Like I said, while BotW is pretty good, all the games I mentioned above are FAR better.
@@masterofdisguise7112 No, oot is not better. Maybe as a zelda game. But not as a video game for sure.
Minor correction: The timeline that places Oracle of Seasons/Ages after Link's Awakening also states that it is a new Link in those games. It's only the timeline that places the Oracle games *before* Link's Awakening that states they are the same Link.

The Curse says when Ganon dies he gets Resurected when a new Zelda and a new Link appear.

Also Ganon is horribly hard to kill as he usually can continue to roam around as a spirit for a few centuries before comming back in another body.

ganondorf being confused on how zelda knows he’s coming: *confused screaming*
The tricky thing to understand that took me forever also is that there is only one Link, despite there being 3 timelines. You have to remember how time works. Kid Link goes forward in time, leaving his timeline behind, so no more Link there. This creates the future timeline with him in it. When he leaves the future and goes back in time, he leaves the newly created future timeline without a Link also. When you time travel, you don't go back to the same time - you make new branches. So when link goes back, he ends up in another new timeline that has the one and only link in it. So timeline A loses Link over to timeline B. Timeline B then loses Link over to timeline C. Link is now in timeline C, which is the Majora timeline. A becomes the failed timeline, B becomes the success timeline, and C becomes the prevention timeline. Boom.
1 very important thing to understand is, the Master Sword was the key in NOT creating alternate time branches. The only reason time splits into 2 is because Zelda uses the Ocarina of time to send link back in time. Before this, Link was traveling back and forth on 1 stream of time or 1 timeline and the MS was a ship ferrying him back and forth.
What...an...amazing....video! Nicely done. I just stumbled upon this randomly because I love The Legend of Zelda and that was cool. For surelyness, I subscribed. (I made that word up, I know)

The split in OoT confused me. But basically the adult timeline is the time that continues after Zelda sends Link back (is stuff Zelda does after she sends him back, and what happens)
Same. I lost track on which timeline they were talking about. Al I heard was Triforce, Ganondorf, Link, and Hyrulle being doomed.
That's the timeline for ya.
*A NEW ZELDA GAME WILL BE RELEASED LATE 2019*
The Leaderboard: *sigh*
A new w h a t
It’s a remake it won’t make a difference
It's just Link's Awakening tho, it won't change the Timeline.
@@gram8121 well sure, but it was footage that could have been used.
@@renegade6578 they did use the footage lol
This video is really helpful as I've only played the two NDS games, and I want to get into the universe properly, and now I feel that I have a good starting knowledge.
bro is the only one that i actually listen to, your the best
I think BOTW is the inevitable ending to all 3 time-lines. It's starting a new story
I like that idea
Or it takes place both Before, and After Skyward Sword, meaning this is all a time loop.
@@outrageouscreation6865 nah
BOTW kind acts like the ocean after the river, no matter how wide the river will branch it will always leads into the ocean (or in legend of Zelda's case, no matter how far the timeline will branch all outcome will inevitably lead to the events of Botw)
@@outrageouscreation6865 Aounoma said it takes place after
Zoras: QUICK WE'RE BEING FLOODED *Turns into birds*
Mipha: Am I a joke to you?
I just realized how stupid that is , thank you
maybe some zoras took a different path and adapted to live in saltwater? the ones in botw are based off of sharks after all.
(but they live in a freshwater lake....... goddamnit. maybe they SOMEHOW managed to evolve to live in both idk. fantasy races are wild man)
It's because the Ocean began to be infested with monsters.
@@wiiabee it's fine, there are freshwater sharks
Not all of the Zoras evolved some stay new type of Zoras some became Rutos since thats how evolution works
This is awesome. I want to know what your research process was like to make this. Very well written. I almost want to enroll in a sprach or debate class just to plagiarize this for a project lol
I really like how you manage to explain the timeline in 25 min while other do inferior work in twice or triple the time
I remember this one time in middle school I got beat up because I called Link Zelda
good
i wish i went to that middle school
well deserved
I basically did the same
you deserved that bro, sorry
LMAO I just realized why zelda can never get any answer when praying to the godess hylia
Cause its her lol
If only someone told botw zelda and her dad that-
I loved this whole story explanation, it was more than I thought haha. I've played a few Zelda games in my younger days and didn't know this whole other side :D
i finally understand, thanks leaderboard :)
My theory is that there was a fourth golden goddess named Goronia who left a separate piece of triforce that the gorons kept for themselves that allowed their specials to never go extinct even through dimensions
yes
Maybe that could be why they’re so mysterious and generally stay by themselves, separated from other people and beings.
Power, Wisdom, Courage, and maybe Stability?
Perhaps the Gorons embody the aspect of pure Stability, which made them rockish people who can live for hundreds of years as individuals, and gives them strength and control over the earth.
Perhaps it’s the fourth and final piece that is supposed to go into the center of the Triforce, but the writers felt it was too much.
NOW THIS..... THISSSS IS REAL
Hence the empty triangle space! I dig it! This idea is gold!
CANON! Eli has spoken! Love this idea.
You missed Link's Crossbow Training
Clearly the best sequel ever made
underrated
Unknown if canon or not.
@@Linx9214 Sadly Hyrule Warriors is confirmed to be non canon and the story is unique to that game. It doesn’t have a place in the timeline in the first place.
@@calebgoodman2076 it should. It connects botw to the past 3 timelines too well. Its meant to be the connection between the three timelines. How is ganon and ganondorf in the same game? THEY ARE FROM DIFFERENT TIMELINES. Which goes to show it connects them.
Electric Boogaloo 🤣😂🤣; that was freaking hilarious.
Excellent explanation!! Thank you!
Nintendo spliting the timeline was the most confusing stuff ever
Well but It makes sense to split it..most events wouldn’t make sense storywise without timeline splits. Even the Downfall Timeline makes sense in some way when you see the true Lore of the Games in it
it was the fans. nintendo basically jsut copy pasted the most popular theory and made it canon
Gorons are freaking immortal.
We don’t deserve them.
I mean they are freaking rocks. They probably have extremely long lifespans.
Darmani says hi from beyond the grave
@@ghirahimlefabuleux8984 never heard of rocks freezing to death.
Gamefury 07 then why did one die when the hole was prolly 1 foot
I want to see the creator of Legend of Zelda explain the timeline and see if he understand
Shigeru Miyamoto aka Mario creator is the Zelda creator
I know from memory The Legend Of Zelda Timeline but I always like watching new videos about it.... I just love TLOZ so much!😩😍
I've only played OoT and Majora's Mask as a kid and didn't have any kind of gaming console for years. I bought a switch when Scarlet and Violet came out and am so excited to be playing games again. Then I see a new Zelda game coming out??? I've missed so much in both Pokemon and Zelda. I'm having a blast. Thank you for the video.
"You can't describe the plot of the zelda series in one meme"
Me: your going to the shadow realm jimbo
LMAO🤣🤣🤣

Great great work
Hey cool voice and thanks for the narration this was a very good video
This is great and all, but where's links crossbow training
BKPlaysYT in hurtle historia it’s said
‘ the series contains a few spinoff games, such as links crossbow training, that have not been included in these chronicles’
Franmcmuffin r/wooosh
During Twilight Princess, when Link just trains with the crossbow.
@@Rogueakeri31 was there a crossbow?
or the cdi games
When you go to Telma's bar in Twilight Princess and talk to the other heroes before completing the water temple, they'll gossip about how link is dressed like the "ancient hero"
Great work 👍
