- Even four years after Zelda's release, there are things in the game you never thought possible. Here is another list of amazing things to show off to your friends.
In the video above, we cover 48 tips and tricks that aren’t quite as well known, ranging from secrets to glitches, some that are pretty simple and others that are fairly complex. With Breath of the Wild having been out for four years at this point, players have found some amazing things, intended or not, that keep the game and its sense of discovery feeling fresh.
Of note, we point out some secrets in Kakariko Village and Gerudo Town that the developers left that aren’t quite as well known, as well as strange techniques, like how to permanently disable a Guardian and cover yourself with impaled arrows. With Breath of the Wild’s highly anticipated sequel still nowhere to be found, these techniques should help you continue to push what you're able to do in the original game.

Damn... After 4 years, people are still discovering new things in BotW . This truly is a masterpiece of a game
botw2 comes out and it'll take another 4 years or so to discover everything
not masterpiece as horizons zero dawn which is a superior game in every way, waiting for some loser bragging that Botw have won the game award when in reality the game only won because of the nostalgiatard nerds
@@gippooverground8067 in what way? I play both and can't seem to find hzd is superior. botw is my first zelda game tbh
@@gippooverground8067 Play them both and then judge them. Just because your brain found an excuse that people like it because of nostalgia, try to understand what breath of the wild does so good. Horizon zero dawn is a great game, but follows a very generic game design formula for the open world genre. Similar to witcher 3 for example, which are both! great games! That doesn't take anything away from them. Breath of the wild really innovates the open world game design like no other game did before. It's really up to if you prefer story driver games, with a very standard formula of questing, gathering and how the open world works for you. Or if you prefer a more toy-like sandbox experience, where almost no one holds your hand and you have to create your own experiences. Breath of the wild is more like lego, it's really up to you of what you make with it. If you have no creativity, sure, they are just some blocks. Whatever your prefer ;) but don't let your feelings cloud the reality.

I actually took the time to read the end credits of the game. The level of care and detail the team at Nintendo gave to this game is surreal.

This video made me realize how bad I am at this game 💀
Me too 😭
Me too 😂 especially with fighting the guardians
Every video of botw on CZcams makes me think the same way...
Yup
You can shade yourself with a weapon? This game physics never cease to amaze me...
I hope the next Nintendo console will have botw2 running at 1080p60 at least
I'm no developer, just have played video games since I was a tiny child and am incredibly familiar with how they work, so take this with a grain of salt, but I don't think that's really physics, it's an if-or condition, like putting on the warm coat and gaining cold resistance, like a light switch: on or off. Game physics are more abstract and fluid, a gradient, rather than black and white, on or off. Not at all claiming to be an expert here though, just my thought.
@@treefingers1183 that is the game physics at work tho. The complex "if-or condition" is basically the physics engine of the game. Physics is just not how gravity in the game works but how different things interact with other things in game. The developers won't have to code all the possible interactions in the game, the physics engine will manage that.
To think that a shadow of a weapon would actually act as a shade for link is pretty cool since usually no one thinks that's how the game wants you to do. Usually you need to use an elixir or an armor to counter the heat status. But in the basis of real world, using something as a shade makes perfect sense.
@@treefingers1183 It's part of the complex physics engine the game uses, that's basically what I meant even if it's not "physics" by definition.
@@Azubi_Meatball4349 It wont. I hope botw2 will be the game entirely dedicated to be played on computer, because even now it has more fps in emulator, and i successfully played it with keyboard and mouse. Making powerful console is not profitable when all people are playing computers.

Fun fact, everytime you fire Revalis bow without an arrow on it, his spirit comes to haunt one more Rito for eternity.
This video literally put a huge smile on my face, it's incredible that after 4 YEARS there are still hundreds of things I just didn't know about this masterpiece of a game
I just realised the other day that the giant flag poles in Hyrule Field are ACTUALLY affected by wind and aren't just animated to blow around. I realised when I used revali's gale under one and the flag started blowing upward
-I learned this recently too! You can even turn them -_-very-_- slowly with Magnesis when the wind is calm (easiest when you're standing directly on top of them), but when the wind picks up it'll overpower your Magnesis.-
*EDIT:* This is about the windmills around Tanagar Canyon, I misinterpreted what the original comment was about.
I found something similar with the hylian hood. The cape like thing is effected by wind. It is also effected by things you have equipped. It's fun to mess around by only equipping the master sword and putting it away and pulling it out over and over again.
@@SSM24_ Can you please explain that again with what you do with the magnesis? There's nothing on the pole that the magnesis detects as metal. I thought maybe you meant to turn the pole somehow using a metal object with magnesis to push it, so I summoned a chest with my amiibo to use an object and nothing happened.
@@liaml1694 Wait, sorry, I was thinking of the windmill things you can find around the Tabantha region. Misunderstood what you were talking about.
@@SSM24_ Ooh OK, yeah I was talking about the flag poles you find around in Hyrule Field that have a flag on it.
This game is nuts. Like the sheer amount of polish, attention to detail, secrets and even fun glitches are staggering. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
I agree! It’s crazy!
Rivals RDR2 in that regard
@Alp Güler Never said it wasn’t. All I’m saying is that the two games have impressive attention to detail. That’s all.
I accidentally read the pwrd polish as Polish the nationality and not polish like cleaning
I hope the sequel will have even more new secrets and details to discover
When attacking a guardian attack it’s legs. The legs when destroyed drops ancient items, and as they are beaten the guardians mobility is decreased.
I found out a reference from Majora's mask. Take the music from Goron city in breath of the wild and put it side by side with stone tower music track. You will hear the reference when the beat happens in Goron city

I also came to read the comments because I too could not catch the obliviator which made me irritated more than you'll ever know so why not tell us that you're never going to catch it? You can’t catch it. The “It slumbers peacefully” message is displayed normally after it’s mission is completed when inspected at the shrine of resurrection, and it can’t be picked up and used again. I think this duplicate is an unused item, it’s documented on TCRF, likely some weird testing.

Something I just noticed today: in the Gerudo Desert, if it gets too hot, standing in the shadow of something will temporarily prevent you from losing health. You can really notice it if you go to the skeleton and weave in and out of the shadows cast by the ribs.
It also prevents ice from melting, such as during the sidequest that has you fetch a block of ice from the storehouse in the desert.

About the single red bokoblin in Master Mode, there's also a single red Moblin. His location is in one of the hot springs in the Hebra mountains. He just chills there alone, with no other enemies nearby.

There's also a green Lizalfos in a pond just southwest of Ruto Mountain, a Fire Wizzrobe in Akkala Wilds, an Ice Wizzrobe on the roof of the Forgotten Temple, and an Electric Wizzrobe in Nautelle Wetlands. They put one of each so that players could still get the pics for the compendium.

I ask myself this every time I see a new glitch tutorial
Me thinking i knew the whole game after playing for 4 straight years
Me after the video : why didn't i knew this before
Thanks these are some great tips keep up the good work :)
I found a glitch where the water isn’t patched up in Rassla Lake and you can stand and run underwater, it’s pretty fun :0
Also with most of the korok puzzles where rocks are missing, you can use stasis to easily find a rock nearby if it’s hard to see where they are
You can sort of control guardians, they're programed to back away from Link. So if you get on their head stand next to the edge opposite of where you want to go, and the guardian will start walking.
Me: you can’t teach me new things about this game!
I played over 9000 hours!!
This video:Hold my beer
9000 hours??! Damn
That’s 375 days straight 💀 I’m not judging just impressed
@@Glace_to_the_face maybe they slipped a zero? this game has been out for 4 years so there’s no way they’ve played it for a whole 1 year right?!
@@LilCheesyBean they got no life if thats the case
@@LilCheesyBean I swear when Monster Hunter Rise came out, people were playing that for like 100 hours a week.
By that logic, it would only take them 90 weeks or about a year and a half to get 9000 hours
The invisible link thing is best to do with flurry rushes because link just pops up out of nowhere when the attack particles disappear, if you have sheik’s mask and the stealth set makes it look like sheik appears.
The last tip is gonna help so much! Thanks
Equipping the flame sword and leaving it sheathed keeps you warm in the cold
Yeah, I don't think there's an end to this game. It's the gift that keeps on giving
A game that keeps on giving, even when you think you’re done with getting.
sincerely thank you for making this video, it was very useful to me
