As soon as we were forced here from Palestine and I was 7, the first thing my mom taught me was how this land was stolen from native Americans and how oppressive and bloody this government has been to the natives. It never left me esp when our people are going thru the same, we’re one of the last western colonies in the Middle East and the West is trying everything to hold on to it, even if it means the annihilation of my people.
and people here either don't know (because they teach us NOTHING in school) or they're just comfortable with it. ( I just realized that's exactly how it is w Israel )
We the people need a bottom-up community movement of liberation, cooperation and collaboration to provide peace, justice and freedom for all. So when I was born in Palestine, Isnotreal refused to recognize my existence bc my crime was being born, so my parents went to the US embassy and got me US citizenship since they were already American citizens - they were smart and did business in the US and alternated working in America but having their lives in Palestine. Isnotreal decided that my dad, who was born before their terror state existed, overstayed his welcome in his home country and threw him and us out so where did we go? To the one country that was very welcoming (hmm wonder why), you guessed it, good ol america, the colonizing country that continues to colonize other parts of the world thru little terror colonies like isnotreal. They welcomed us to help cleanse Palestine of Palestinians. So here we are, watching our government fund another genocide of our people, going on 100 years now. Colonizer versus colonized, story as old as time except the natives, the Palestinians, always manage to throw the colonizers out and this one won’t be any different than the crusaders, Romans, British or the Turks. Who's the land going back to in Sudan? the indigenous Nubians? they don't even make up 1% of Sudan's population. Here's some interesting history in the Yom Kippur Egypt used Nubian code talkers like the US did with the Navajo. Tragically they were forced off their lands to bulid the Aswan dam in Egypt. Sound familiar?

I'm viewing this from Australia & when protests for Palestinians go ahead, our indigenous flags are always with them, I want equality for everyone & find it is challenging with many people when I speak up for indigenous issues because I'm white & they treat me like I should be on the side of white colonisation, I've even lost friendships over these conversations, what I understand about indigenous is 'we belong to the earth to care of' not like colonial thought 'the earth belongs to me to do as I please with' we had a referendum last year to vote about giving our indigenous an advisory voice to parliament on matters that effect them & acknowledging them in the constitution as the first people.
That's a sick and Delusional culture and I would advise you to free yourself from the Europe colonizers social conditioning culture.
The aren't GOD. Or GODS. You too have power, you to can be a leader, president king or queen. Remember that next time. You're basically just being obligated to obey some other king and queen what are you a. Slave? Or a human being.

Land back. End ecocide. We must all find our spiritual and material homes. It will be painful and complex. My ancestors' land was stolen by the English elite to build the industrial textile infrastructure for colonialism. 500 families own half of Scotland. I literally do not want to be in the land of indigenous people. I acknowledge the layered theft, and I disown all claims. This achieves nothing in itself, it is words. The education received from global south thinkers and activists over a LIFEtime enables me merely to begin the process of disengagement from false culture, commodified personhood, corroded relation to nature. Just a start, that is all. Through ACtion and connection to movements and the marginalized, in demonstrably insufficient ways, I have put a body to the knowledge, a mode of agency to give material life to transformation. Just beginnings, no claims, the point is that your work here is absolutely CRITICAL, and I am grateful to be in the virtual space and continue to learn for better action.
If I had any damn money, I would be donating every day.

Then I see the HInd's Hall video and I was shocked. Who the hell is this guy? Macklemore? really? Are you serious? Then I go to this podcast and end up tripping. I wonder if they will ever have indigenous minorites from the middle east and north africa like the Assyrian/Chaldean Christians of Iraq, Maronites Christians of Lebanon and Israel(Called Arameans) Coptics in Egypt, the 30 million Kurds spread across 4 countries, Amazigh/Berbers of North Africa, the Nubians of Sudan and Egypt etc....

(If you asked me if I would give up my home, I would say yes even though I don't own any - but if I did - 100%.) Someone asked me as well, if I would give up my home under those circumstances. I said yes, even though I don't own anything, because it's the right thing and they're the original stewards.
Colonization and capitalism has ruined the land, not to mention all the harm to people. These mining companies are the antithesis of indigenous culture. They need to be checked.
Btw since the troll missed history and science classes, indigenous peoples have been here since at least 23k years ago, likely longer. Some also came by water routes down the northern coastlines, a few even island hopping to South America.
As far as we know, everyone came out of Africa. But all of this is a different sort of "migration" than settler colonialism.
Ps. Thanks for including the different peoples. I can't remember off the top of my head where their lands are, so time for a deep dive.
My roots so-to-speak are in the earliest of settled lands, the Chesapeake Bay area, Pamunkey lands specifically.
Currently, I reside in the Central Valley California, in an area Miwok called home. Before moving here, I thought they were above the fray when it came to the tribes, when in fact they were one of the worst. There's definitely some restitution that should be made.

I subbed. I’m also Nishanaabe (and not just a little bit so you don’t think I’m frontin’) and Palestine woke me up… I didn’t know the history. And when something egregious happens (and yes killing innocents is egregious, I just happen to be morally consistent and apply to both sides) you want to know why. I bought many books, listened to many interviews and podcasts, did a lot of research… and I found a LOT of parallels between the Palestinians and my people. I remember when I learned of Hind’s brutal and violent murder at the hands of the IDF. I remember hearing the fear in her voice as she pleading with someone to save, as it was getting late and she was scared of the dark. I have a child on the way. I wish someone was there to protect her… and Macklemore’s song was such a great anthem to simplify the movement. It addressed many of the talking points used against the protests or supporters in general. I’m glad y’all got together.

Thank y'all for lending strength to keep showing up as a white American to support land back. Haskell Indian Nations University recently asked outright for land back of wetlands threatened by development. There are accomplises for this movement, including our youth!
And to any white not accepting returning the lands, Now know how it feels like. Lucky they aren't being forcefully removed In this very moment.
Only they are capable of such things they've done. I believe that's why nobody wants a war.
