      Hello, I have not tried doing that but the plugs are very commonly used plugs. If the plugs were not compatible it wouldn't really matter because you could just cut them off to suit anyway. Hope that helps

    This is pretty cool! I'm thinking about installing it in my vehicle. One question though, do the blind spot monitors detect stuff like tunnel walls? If you're driving alongside a tall barrier due to being in the farthest over lane, will the blind spot lamp illuminate? Does it bother you?
    Ok, I guess two questions. How has it held up over the past three months?

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 5 měsíci +1

    Are the lights able to go inside the mirrors? Because it shows them on the package and I’d prefer to see the light on the mirror when I’m looking for cars

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 27 dny

      If your up to that challenge then there's no reason why not. Generally the glass mirrors break when people try to do that though so be very careful. The light mirrors shown on the package are not included with the kit and the aftermarket mirror lights you can buy are not compatible for all cars. Installing the lights in the mirrors is not an easy job to do but if you like a challenge then that job will definitely be one, best of luck with the Installation

    Hello, how are you? I congratulate you on a job well done. I have a simple question: How did you install the right and left turn wires so that the bell works when you turn? What is the bundle of wires that you installed, and where did you take it from? Thank you, the power source to you, artist 🌹

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 7 měsíci +3

      Hello, thank you for your kind comments, The right and left turn wires I personally connected at the Body Control Module but you can also connect them at the turn signal wires at the rear lights themselves or at the turn signal switch by the steering wheel. The other wires are just Power, Ignition and Ground which are straight forward but again I personally connected them at the Body Control Module as I wanted to do all the wiring connections at one point. For those who are not to confident doing wiring I would recommend everything be done at the rear of the car which will make the job easier to do. Hope that answers your questions 🙂

    Hey man, great video! I've got 2 questions:
    Did you have instructions come with the kit as per say what parameters it needs to be mounted exactly, ( with centimiters , the radars).
    And do you think it would be possible to send the blinking lights make a cut out for them on the side mirrors and have the wiring go through from the door to the side mirror ?
    Again thanks for the video.

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Thank you so much. Yes the instructions it comes with tells you everything about how to Install the radar sensors. As for mounting the blinking lights in the mirrors, im pretty sure there not waterproof so probably not the best idea but you can buy blinking lights that are designed for the mirrors to do exactly what you want so that would be the best option. The blinking lights supplied in the kit are quite bright though if that was your concern, all the best

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 4 měsíci

      Thank you for your comment and question and the answer is no. This BSM system only detects cars in your blind spot approaching you from the rear of your car. If it detects cars when your passing them then you definitely have the radar sensors mounted incorrectly. Hope that answers your question.

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 7 měsíci

      If I understand your question correctly, no it cannot, but you could install this BSM kit in the rear of your vehicle for rear detection and then install this:

      into the front of your vehicle for front detection. Or have I not understood your question correctly?

      It's not designed for that no. Some of the 77Ghz systems can be used for that which I will be reviewing in the future but the best solution to your question is a system like this which is designed for exactly that czcams.com/video/Gp1HYtZ8wsc/video.htmlsi=GwwFLpXz20HX_U0S

      Oh thats amazing, cant wait for the video! Is this one the 24ghz or 77ghz, it didn't say on the box. I saw online rear cross traffic alert did work on some diy system.
      If you have time could you please test reversing out of a supermarket parking bay and see if the light flashes, if a car or person walks by - with or without using indicators.
      Thank you!

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před měsícem +1

      @dval2437 This one is the 24zghz system, the 77Ghz systems are about 3 times the price. Yes your right, sometimes when reversing out of a car park the notification lights will flash but it's important to remember that the sensors are mounted slightly outwards to detect blindspot areas so if there is someone walking directly in the middle of your car they won't be detected.
      I plan to do a 77Ghz install on my new car in the next few weeks for the channel. I still highly recommend this 24Ghz system though as a BSM, it is awesome but the 77Ghz system is supposed to be better so we will find out in a few weeks just how much better it really is

    Excellent work!
    Very good product.
    Do you know if it can be placed to all vehicles especially new ones?
    I've heard that it might be not compatible with the new cars and the control unit sees it as an error so it doesn't work properly or causes damage to the control unit.
    I don't actually believe it. However, if there is a chance to be incompatible it wont work no that this would cause any damage. Right?

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks, appreciate it. Technically the newer the vehicle the better as most newer vehicles these days have big rear plastic bumpers making the sensor mounting easier.
      It's impossible to be not compatible and also impossible to damage anything because this system does not need to connect to any control unit at all (i only connected it to the BCM out of choice). There's only 5 wires, power, gnd, Ignition and turn indicator lights which can all be connected at the rear of the car if you want to so it doesn't connect to anything that could be damaged. It's very easy to hook up. What kind of car are you installing it on?

    • @NickosC1
      @NickosC1 Před 7 měsíci

      @@SHORTwithTECH
      That's correct! Thank you for your quick reply!
      As for the "damage" they said, this might happen because of the wired connection to the lights, not from the power it takes from the car to operate. The "theory" is that the control unit will detect that connection as a fault or as a strange part not within the car .
      Anyway, I have purchased the exactly product you are mentioning from ali express and I'm placing it today to a new Toyota Yaris cross.
      Hope it will go well as in you video without any surprises or anything else.
      Wish me luck!😁🤞🤞🤞

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 7 měsíci +2

      @NickosC1 I understand exactly what you mean with the wired connections interfering with the lights, that's a common complaint but very easy to get around for a professional installer (when its required). Good luck with the installation, that should be really straight forward on a 2023 Yaris, you won't regret installing it, they are worth all the hard work

    • @NickosC1
      @NickosC1 Před 7 měsíci

      Unfortunately it doesn't work properly. Only one sensor is blinking, the other one does not have a light. There is a beeper sound though but I cannot understand what the radar catches and from which side. I will go back to the professional installer to check the wiring again. But if there is a damaged radar or a bad sensor it's a pity for all the work it's been done😢

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 7 měsíci

      @NickosC1 Sorry to hear that however the sensors are on plugs so replacing a faulty sensor is easy plus its just an LED so could be repaired easily aswell and the radars are also on plugs to but there's obviously a bit more work involved to replace that but from what you explain that doesn't sound like a faulty radar, it sounds like something very simple such as a bad or damaged connection. There's lots of things you could try to fix this yourself but if it was installed by a professional installer then yeh its best to take it back to that place and ask them to fix it for you. I wouldn't worry about it, it sounds like a simple fix and not faulty product hardware. Good Luck!

    • @SHORTwithTECH
      @SHORTwithTECH  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeh the mirrors can be a challenge, ive heard of so many people breaking the glass trying that setup. And the problem is you have to remove the mirror to run the wire from the led lamp to the inside of the car and that's where it can go horribly wrong

      No it won't detect cars any further then the lane next to you (on both sides of you course). That has never been a problem ever for me. Are you having that problem? If yes then my guess is because you have the radar sensors aligned incorrectly on the inside of your bumper. Sensor alignment is incredibly important for this system to function correctly and when setup correctly this system will work flawlessly and it has been for me for months now

      @swayno7154 There is no such thing as a stupid question but no, DON'T point the sensors to the ground. the radar sensors must be mounted horizontally and operate by penetrating the signal through the plastic bumper yes. They won't penerate through metal though so don't mount the sensors behind a metal bumper, it won't work as it will block the signals
