It wasn't an "E-Stop" when you first mentioned it, that was a test mode. An E-Stop will stop the vehicle dead in its tracks immediately like it did a little later.
But this is almost a daily occurrence at Test Track, even on the old version. It's mainly due to spacing between the cars being off.
The ride did not e-stop, it ride-stopped. An e-stop cuts electrical power and leaves stopping up to manual or redundant braking systems. A ride-stop brings the ride to a stop in a swift and controlled manner using primary braking without cutting electrical power. What most likely happened is that the computer system detected a fault and automatically ride-stopped itself. Maintenance most likely came out, corrected the fault, and reset the fault. This really isn't a big deal. This sort of thing happens all the time, and just proves that the safety systems are in good working order.
I would disagree. There are 3 ways in which an e-stop can be actuated. CAT 0: As you mentioned where power is cut to the drive and controller leaving the stopping to redundant breaking. CAT 1: Where the system is bought to a controlled stop followed by power cut off to the drive and controller. CAT 2: A controlled stop but drive and controller remain powered. The definition of an e-stop and what is carried out varies from system to system. I would be very surprised if Disney allows CAT 0 stops to be carried out on any of their rides.

Breaking news: Test track is closing for adjustments in the ride. June 13th is gonna be the last time it will be open for the public. The construction starts on June 14th
Here’s a test track trick if you’re sick of waiting hours in the normal line then you can take the single rider line you have to be 8+ to take the single rider line

BRO!!!! We were on this at the same time. I was stuck in the efficiency room when you were outside. Wonder what happened, we were stopped inside for a good 5 minutes.
I had 1 breakdown, 2 in show exits and 1 E-Stop:
1 Breakdown in the Silbermine Darkride in Phantasialand (Germany) for about 10 Minuten.
1 in Show Exit in warnerbrothers Movieworld Germany (Today it calls Moviepark germany) on Looney Tunes Adventure due to a Fire Alarm
1 In Show Exit in the Ring Werk Themepark (Germany) at the 4D Cinema "24h Rennen in 4D" due to technical difficulties.
1 E-Stop on a Whirlgig due to a Guy, who decided to Open his Seatbelt while the Carroussel was in Motion.

This happened before this, in November 2016 someone got stuck on a banked corner near the end. Basically, this ride sent that greatly made compared to other rides at the Disney parks.

Hey he got to experience high speed acceleration normally you don't get that because it's already up to speed. 0-65 mph real fast.

I've gotten a space mountain with lights on ride. It's neat, but it makes you realize how tight things really are and how you aren't going as fast as you may think...

thats not an e-stop, looks like the ride control system is trying to respace the cars. if it was an e-stop it would not be moving at all.
that's actually not an e-stop. the car is moving slow because its cycling out of service because of an error. nice try buddy. an e-stop means the ride STOPS not moves slowly. plus later in the ride you can hear a cast member saying "initiating ride stop", so again, no actual e-stop ever occurred. you need to check your facts before you post things like this.

@RomanGames that actually wasn't an emergency stop. That was simply the car being stopped by block brakes. Which would even happen in a regular Ride Stop.

Gaming universe and electronic reviews I believe they are all wheel drive electric vehicles. the track in the center probably powers and sends data to the cars.

I was only stuck on the little mermaid and mission space on mission space we stalled for 10 min and on little mermaid we stopped for 1-2 minutes

No offense but this is guy real annoying recording the entire situation. No one is supposed to record any rides period. But people continue to ruin the ride for others and disrespecting park rules... *smdh* also it’s not enjoyable if it’s that damn slow. Good grief. It’s more enjoyable at hyper speed. :)
