I just got back from a week there in Florida and this ride has changed completely. There is a touch screen car maker and you can test your car out on many interactive games upon exit. The ride itself is dark and fast and no longer looks like a test course.
Yeah, this version is better.
I agree, this version is much better than the new one, I work at Disney as a cook
skip to 10:30 if you want to bypass the waiting in line part
Thanks bro
I'm going to ride the new Test Track in a few months! But for now, RIP original Test Track.
You will be greatly missed by me and my family.
I love the new Test Track and how it fits better into future world by looking at cars of the future and because it is very interactive, but the old version is something I’ll always miss. Glad I got to ride both!
I like the idea of the new one, but I think it lacks the immersion.
Especially the queue.
The new one shows some futuristic prototype designs and technology.....but it's not as immersive and educational. It doesn't show ENOUGH.
They should have done a queue that starts like the original with older technology and a sort of "garage" like feel, then transitioned it into modern technology, and then into future tech and prototypes.
With actual displays, reading, videos, etc.
After everyone goes through that, THEN they decided how they want to design their car.
The new ride itself is still very fun, but it's lacking the education.
This is EPCOT after all.
They are taking away too much of the LEARNING aspect that the park was meant to have.
I really like this version. But let's be honest. It needed a futuristic vibe. I mean come on that computer was still on dialup
Where in the video is that?
this was amazing. they have to ruin everything.
@@Michael-es5pf Did they remake the test track or no
I miss this version! I liked it WAY better than the new one!
I know bro I feel you
I like the new one but the old one was my Childhood
I feel for you bro!
Me too.
+TheBazinga314 In full agreement there. This felt... Real, you know? The new one feels all artificial and like it's trying too hard to be futuristic, while this one actually showed you what it was like when they tested prototype cars. I love this rough mechanical aesthetic way more than the TRON cyberpunk-y one. At least the ride itself is still the same.
I love this version MUCH more than the new one!!
love it. it's like speeding through a safe empty highway
these memory's from back then in 2007, good days
I like this test track compared to the new one
OMG...i miss this version>
"Did you remember to turn off those robots?" "Uhh..."
Instant BBQ
She also basically tried to kill us with the barrier test
I LOVE THAT RIDE IT IS THE BEST TO RIDE AT *NIGHT*
Angel_ Dusk YES ITS AWSOME AT NIGHT
Personally, I preferred this version, but I wonder what would happen if Disney recreated the old Test Track somewhere else.
Me too!
All they had to do is upgrade it to today's testing and have new features to the ride. Don't like the new one.
Agreed . Old one was more realistic.
And it was actually a "test track"
I agree that the old one is superior! It pisses me off that they updated a classic attraction into something not as... Well... Truly thrilling
God I Miss This Version
Him: 'You're gonna go over some speed bumps'
Her: 'It's gonna get a bit bumpy, Cotton'.
Haha nice! I always took classes with computes and just played on the internet playing games and stuff the whole time lol.
This is my favorite ride at Epcot!!!
This is one of my favorite rides, and everytime i ride it the truck at 13:54 always* gets me lol. Great video,
I was thinking the same thing. This video makes the ride look so slow and when you are actually on it it feels so fast... And I scream my lungs out just for the fun of it :)
@slidergera it's free with your admission ticket but you can only get one fast pass til the time that shows on your ticket which is when you can use your current fast pass. They will have machines near the ride and you insert your admission ticket or annual pass and it will print out a fast pass for that ride.
Aaaaah this was my favourite at Epcot. So so good.
Wow! At 12:27 the brakes really do work!
nothing was more grinding than that wrench banging soundtrack while you wait in line looping over and over.
I went to Disney 5 months ago, unfortunately I wasn't able to go on test track. My mom had a fast pass for it. But after dinner right before we were supposed to go, it had technical difficulties. I wanted to see the new version. This is the only version I know. My mom used to work at test track
I rode this for the first time on a field trip back in march and it was amazing
Your very welcome. Glad you like them!
You do know that they changed the whole ride and made it all ton like!
I have been on the updated one

Yes. The hot chamber probably was about 90-100 degrees, and the cold like 50 degrees. The corrosion chamber just made it humid and sticky.
It doesn't matter now anyways, because they're reimagineering this ride as we speak. That's why it's closed now. Those chambers won't be hot, cold, or corrosive. It'll be something else.
I hope you haven't gone to Disney yet, but if you did, you probably found out that this ride's closed till late Nov-early Dec 2012. They're redoing the ride, with a new theme (looks Tron-like) and such, but the track will be the same.
the new one looks fantastic, but this one will be missed
Thanks and stay tund ill be there when it open so you will be able to see what its like.
This version had all the real tests, labeled, and made sense with the theme/name. Basically they dumbed it down, took out all the words and meaning of each of the parts, and now it has very little to do with the theme of testing an automobile. And most idiots riding just look forward to the fast part because yay its fun!
I miss this version of Test Track!
i absolutly love test track i went on it about 10 times when iwas there.
Dear ***** , please bring this version back!
I do have a GoPro but for this I filmed it with my Sony 550v which is a 1300 dollar camera. The Gopro doesnt have the greatest sound but it does have good picture.
LUCKY! THE RIDE WAS CLOSED WHEN I CAME IN.
well there doing a major refurbishment on it and will no longer be sponsored bg GH but instead FORD and they are re doing the queue and parts of the ride. It will be back opened in the fall.
Thanks and when you go out side if you look at the over head sign were topping at 64.7 MPH so it goes pretty fast. Faster then Radiator Springs Racer at Cars Land.
that this is the best ride ever
its more fun then it looks
This original version is the best one for Test Track, consistent with the theme and name of the attraction. Yes, of course it is dated…all technology is, but that doesn’t mean it can’t survive from a historical perspective. At least the scenes depicted during the ride made sense within the auto industry, rather than a mush-mosh of neon glow lights that reduce the ride to something like a better than average beach boardwalk dark ride.
The problem, for those who think the ride had a problem and needed to be updated, is the short attention span people have today whenever they just might have to endure some learning during their vacation in order to get their fill of entertainment. Since Epcot most closely resembles a world’s fair, rather than an amusement park, I guess all things at Epcot need to satisfy the lowest common denominator of education and entertainment. Otherwise, they get scrapped to the junk pile, like Ellen’s Energy Adventure.
@DedmonStudios I did a complete experience of that and will upload that next.
GM workers get a fast-fast pass and get to skip to the front :) im one of the lucky people who has a dad that works for GM. Also, GM workers get to watch people ride the ride while drinking free sodas. so if you parents work for GM, that's a bonus for you!
I WILL MISS U 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You can also cool off on the ride as you go outside on te track cause the wind blowing and everything.
they should have kept the old one, i remember coming to disney when i was a kid and loveing this ride, not as thriled anymore.
Over in the post ride area, its like a little showcase of all those cars.
Well just wait another month ill be going opening day December 1st to get a complete experience of it. Its going to be more interactive in the queue though. They will be get the 2.0 hardware like Radiator Springs Racers, also the preshow will be changed too.
I screamed like a little baby on this ride lol
I cant believe i watched thi first 10 minutes of it !!!! Ughh
This makes it look really slow in the ride - and mate you got the quietest bunch of people in your car, Test Track is fucking AWESOME :D
The new one has a lot less theming and moving stuff in the ride. They should of at least made the end like radiator springs and have 2 vehicles race side by side.
this ride reminds me so much of the radiator springs racers here in cars land in california adventure
well search for the video on youtube they talk about it on the DisneyParks channel but its going to be interesting.
@deathbyillusion You always have the best videos
I was siting underneath this ride waiting for my parents to come off, and that freaking track... It was so loud and it freaking blew my Minnie Mouse ears off every time it went past me.
Heel mooie attractie en zeer goed gefilmd complumenten
You aren't missing anything. It's just fun. You'll see when you try it
Wow. I love this ride so much. And last time i went to disney, i went on it for the first time, and it was really fun :) I cant wait cuz in septemeber im going back to disney. Great video. :)
@kvnfln9000 no you cant go that way. Its either a dead end or where they can store cars.
Thank you so much for making this video! This was my all time favorite ride! I had been waiting to go to Disney to ride it again, it saddens me to learn it was shut down ;-;
Thanks!
Yes but watch my updated Test Track 2.0 they have since changed it and in my experience its not that good.
It's amazing! I recently got back from a trip to Disney and it was amazing!
Cant wait for you to film the new one!
It actually goes outside. It's made to look like a freeway except you get to make sharp turns.
I honestly wish I rode that ride before they changed it over... I'm that person who would fangirl over the sight of that 5.3 ,3.8 and the northstar engine...
I'm gutted, this is shut when I'm over there. I have been on the ride countless times before but it's one of the best rides in the park next to Mission: Space.
Thanks for filming these, I'm a wuss when it comes to rides and I live too far away from disney land
so basically, the normal queue line can be just as fast as the fast pass if we don't stop to look at everything?
I miss this test track
I also went through the corrosion area with the jet sprayers.
That's a pretty cool ride
I have heard December 1st but then again it might be December 6th cause thats when the new Fantasyland expansion opens.
Test Track is awesome; i Love it! :D
i wanted to ride this when i went to disney but the wait time was 100 minutes!!
This ride is AWESOME
its so awesome you see so much like tons of cars and in the line there is tons of stuff to look at to be occupied and wont get bored but when u think its as good as possible it gets better its awesome your like the dummy in the ride lol
Yeah it was and is.
What an awesaome and creative ride!
i went on the test track in orlando (man that was a fun ride ever)
Super cool this video, how was excited like this ride it thught! 😎👍
Did you film this with a GoPro? The picture is fantastic
I was coming here to comment how much I loved this ride, and how I remember when they built it. Finding out they changed a lot of stuff is incredibly disappointing.
Ya but the ability to make custom cars is incredibly cool.
Nice video I want to go on this ride
0:48
4:39 4:40 4:43 4:44

I love this ride!
I loved this ride.
This was uploaded on my bday!!!! X3
Yep only a few more days!
I went to Disney this week and test tack was so bad! It's so different! I didn't realize they changed it l, why did they?
OM G you realized GM owns Chevolat right
@deathbyillusion When was this day when you went on it or at least month I was on holidays in America last year and this is Orlando, FL right?
To this day, the truck coming out at you still scares me.
I was just there like two days ago and it was closed for refirbishing until December 2012 :( What if the world ends before then?! That's one of my favorite rides :'(
This quality is crisp for eight years ago
I LOVED this ride though I went over a red light the guy wasnt too happy about it but I loved it such an amazing ride
