Diana Taurasi BELITTLED Caitlin Clark without meeting and knowing her. The fans of Caitlin Clark who have been following her since college days and knowing her and her character felt that Diana Taurasi arrogantly disrespected her. Only after the game with Indiana Fever that Diana Taurasi, in the few moments of being mature, humbled herself and has to respect Caitlin Clark and her game.

There was plenty of respect for CC with the public and many NBA player's and sports announcers at the start of the season, but DT was on the CC isn't that great train. In fact DT said CC is going to get a surprise when she has to face WOMEN in the WNBA not some college girls! Well DT has now faced CC and looks like she is finding out what everyone already knew. All that and it's not even the halfway mark. No other player in contention has done this. Oh yeah, and how many others have gotten a standing ovation at the end of a game in an opponents arena!? Don't know your politics or even care. DT was very complimentary. Would have been nice if this was what she said months ago. It is one thing to watch CC play and another thing to be on the court with her. In her prime Taurasi did not move like CC. Last night Taurasi sat out the Connecticut game with her back tightening up. Copper guarding CC kept her from scoring. She scored 7 instead of the 18+ she normally scores. The amount of defense to guard CC has effected teams in later games.

The marketing and promotions followed suit, while OG fans of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird tried to downplay the rookie as just a flashy dunker. Flash forward a couple years to the Bulls winning their first championship, and not only was the torch passed, but millions of kids wanted to "be like Mike" and you have players learning from Jordan's skillset right up to Kobe. When we were watching Caitlin Clark and the Fever at the Fieldhouse, I just kept looking at all of the young faces around us in the stands. She gets 5-7 turnovers a game so that wasn't out of the ordinary. She played way better than she did in a previous meeting against the team. And the Fever were competitive for 3 Qs and this I put on the coach, didn't make good adjustments in the 4Q. The Fever also cut their best perimeter defender that they could have tried to put on Plum to slow her down. Reality is, Caitlin is a rookie and will have up and down shooting nights but she's making great reads and passes consistently. She's improving.

@@NoblesseSnake The 4th quarter is winning time. The money quarter. Aces played with their food for 3 quarters then stepped on their necks. It happens all the time in the nba.

Truth be told she was not cooking at all. Boston and Mitchell scored more points for the win but of course catlyn Clark gets the credit!

I have to agree. Seems liked there are a lot less cheap shots against Clark recently. Now we just need to have better officiating. That offensive foul call on the 3 pointer was almost blatant and why Sides didn't challenge that call is beyond me unless she didn't have a challenge. .

It's not 'verse' it's 'versus'. Verse is part of a metrical writing. Versus means against. So, it isn't Taurasi verse Clark. It's Taurasi versus Clark. Or used in abbreviation it would be Taurasi vs. Clark. Or Taurasi vs Clark. You're welcome.

Older players retire or get traded for talented younger players. Teams want to rebuild for the future and that future just beat the Mercury.

Hey Rachel look angel Reese could make her case being on that wnba mvp ladder moving Caitlin Clark off that August 30th matchup might determine a playoff spot between the fever and sky and ultimately the rookie of the year as well. The only thing I am just telling you i am not hating on Caitlin Clark Rachel but don't count out angel Reese either she got that dog in her to.🏀💯😐

I love watching the Fever and CC. But the sad thing for me is that if you compare a NBA to a WNBA game, the women miss so many basic shots, it just rediculous. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but there is no denying it. This is why viewership has been so low for years. That and they play more street basketball rather than PROFESSIONAL BB. But I will continue to watch the Fever when they play.
