I have been to the radar base I cant beleieve it has such a dark history, i have only bewn there a hand full of times even though i only live 10 minutes away from this place!!
For one that looks like it was put down there recently due to the fact that there is minimum rust. And that gun was not made before 1960. So it would have to be a fake( pellet, prop etc.) that was placed there for content
