It is either 1 of 2 problems: 1. the valves are not supposed to move freely with that little pressure, depending on the vehicle (size of engine etc) then yes it will make a diesel sound. 2. if there is lack of power (under load) then it might be possible that the valve is cracked and worn out. I don't think that it is the problem you have here. I spoke with my friend that trained me as a Mechanic (or as he calls it parts changer), I was having the same problem with my 2.5L ford ranger engine, i replaced the lash adjusters and such, still the noise remained. -Confused and exhausted- (from dropping money into it to fix the noise)-(note mine did not lack power at all times) i remembered what he told me, almost exactly as you said, a weak valve spring not being able to keep up with the speed. Mine only happened after warm up (since the springs weaken with the heat), I went into investigation with consideration as to what he advised me with. I found 2 exhaust valve springs weaken, (alike the ones yours on the video) I replaced them all and the sound finally dissipated. Let me know how it all goes. Best wishes; CX3 Auto
That weak of spring pressure is guaranteed valve float
Valve spring has lost tension, it's supposed to apply so much force to hold the valve closed and return it after rocker presses down on it.

@@martinez1701a wondering the same
So what did it sound like?
Like a piston slapping?
Did you replace them and what happened?
