The solution to the poor Titan DPS dilemma is fortunately found within the new Exotic Chest Piece known as “Hazardous Propulsion”. This exotic enables your class ability to fire a volley of missiles that upon hitting a target grant you a 10s 35% damage buff to all rocket sources, be it normal rocket launchers, rocket sidearms or even Grand Overture! This is great because Explosive Light rockets have made a bit of a comeback as supporting weapons for the dominant special weapons this season such as Still Hunt and Euphony, so pairing either an Arc rocket like Crux Termination with Cloudstrike or a Solar rocket like Apex Predator with Still Hunt is the way to go for Titans, I personally prefer using Cloudstrike because the rotation is more fluid. Speaking of, the rotation is fairly simple, just swap between weapons after emptying their respective mags and be sure to Thruster before you shoot any rockets to make sure they’re properly buffed. Overall the difference isn’t actually that drastic between a Hunter and this Titan setup, though admittedly it will take some serious tuning for Titans to come any closer. they fixed it already. on the reset 8.0.0.4 they say in layman's terms if you beat radiant buff itll give you the hazardous propulsion buff but if you dont itll give you the radiant buff instead
They also said they fixed the texture bug but its happened to most people I've spoken to since the last patch. gotta take these things w/ a grain of salt.

Happy to see this build is taking root in the community for sure. Dato Destroyer of Vaults did a similar one and I’m very happy to see a Destiny Tuber who is known for high end end game builds concurring. You bringing up Cloud Strike is juicy. Never had a use for it, but that is definitely not the case anymore.
I will say. On the exotic class item, try star eater and eternal warrior with Edge Transit. That thing should put out some damage, or am I buggin?
Yet again, I'm reminded that me deleting my reconstruction/explosive light crux termination was the worst decision ever =/ Also if you dont have access to a shoot to loot/explosive rounds primary the perses-d, a weapon you can buy from banshee whenever hakke is in rotation, rolls with those perks. Its a high impact scout that will 1 shot the totems during the witness test (even without explosive) and is great ad clear too.
Slight optimisation, make sure you use the facet that gives you increased class ability regen when you have a buff. That will let you get one or two more exodus rocket barrages off. I'd personally drop knockout if you're comfortable enough. I'd also not bother with the void grenades weaken aspect either, as your super applies weaken, and you'll usually be in transcendence most of the fight. Another aspect that boosts whichever transcendence you're struggling with most isn't a bad idea, usually darkness if you're using consecration.
Also worth noting that Buried Bloodline gets the boost from this, as well as being a very easy way to proc rockets because it can lead 2 on a precision kill.
Why tho? Buried bloodline doesn't do explosive damage? It's purely impact damage, especially since it can crit.

Good build, I have a variation and I think it's pretty much what all Titans are starting to gravitate towards for boss damage.
That said, it'd be interesting if you could at some point include solo testing. I tested my build against the same boss you showed here, but solo and pulling off the "face tank the boss while being healed from multiple players" damage strat makes it interesting to see the big yee haw numbers on the wipe screen - it's much less indicative of solo damage. I also mention this because you specifically brought up the build in the solo context.
You can get Crux with double perks now. I got one with Recon / Bipod + Explosive Light so 4 in the mag and 15 total when rallying.
Bipod will make you do alot less

Dang now I have to play rituals for the Cloudstrike catalyst. Looks like a good build!
This works well in some places but I worry in bosses like warlord's ruin or anywhere there are adds that the hazardous propulsion rockets will track to non-boss targets.
got a clown ep crux to drop a couple days ago, running it in the gm and oml im in love with this weapon
oh and it has a second perk for the third column thats reconstruction, used all my luck on that drop

I've got a 1 Impact Crux Termination with Recombination + Bipod with Impact Casings as well as a Recombination + Explosive Light Crux Termination that I plan to use for this at some point. I'm currently using Embraced Identity (Appended Mag + Back-up Mag, Rewind Rounds + FTtC, Triple Void Reserves, 27 rounds total and it's Supremacy but a higher damage Frame) and Dragon's Breath.
You could also have bolstering detonation or focusing strike on your damage build to get your class ability back faster :)

In addition to the low cooldown, you can use Thruster and not block your teammates shots like you might with a barricade 😊
I’m so terrified to use rockets against the Witness when everyone is running and jumping all over the place and possibly into your rocket, killing you. I saw the clip, but any tips on this? I do fireteam finder exclusively so I feel like you’re going to get people more inclined move all over the place and suicide you
Ngl, this is what i've been running for most of my damage phased on titan since final shape came out. It works pretty great! Still grinding for a Crux with recon explosive light though. Grinding for world drops is really really rough
Do master lost sectors when it's in rotation you'll get double perks
Engrams from Hawthorne and Rahool are world drops, try those! I had almost 99 Hawthorne ones to spend and I got about 6-8 Crux

have you tried eternal warrior + star-eater with that rotation using void weapons? im curious on the dmg of that but im not lucky enough to have the said roll on my exotic class
The bug with radiant overwriting the hazardous propulsion buff got fixed in a recent update.

I think the still hunt will do even better with act 2 coming out and basically indirectly buffing the weapon through ignitions (Crazy) but as you mentioned in your newest video as well. I personally prefer cloud strike with Crux bc it’s much easier to obtain and run compared to apex predator. Not really easier but to get the rolls unless you want to spend deepsights on it to get a crafted god roll. I haven’t played since recently and running wish is sort of a pain. I love the videos genuinely especially the format of your newest video making it all easy to understand instead of a 30 - 40 min video of yapping.

Great video, my titan is struggling in the dps department so I'll definitely be putting these tips to good use. Although I do have a question, I noticed you are waiting quite a while before using your next volley of Exodus Rockets, Why? Shouldn't we be trying to keep that rocket damage buff up all them time? I don't know if its something I'm missing I just noticed it and found it odd.
I have a couple rotations I was curious about:
- using a rocket sidearm in place of the sniper and using two tail fox with facet of domineering? Yes they fixed it so you only get 1 reload but that’s a still 6 rockets
- using supremacy with kinetic tremors instead of the exotic snipers?
I am morbidly curious about seeing a rotation using only Legendary Weapons, like say Persuader/Embraced Identity paired with Faith Keeper, or even a Luna Regolith and Apex Predator.
Faith Keeper can auto load 2 Rockets, and Persuader/Embraced Identity can roll Reload/Auto loading options and come with High Ground which is applicable on Witness.
easy example would be something like double sniper Edge Transit.
Though you could run three Cascade Point guns that way... 🤔
Euphony on Warlock is solid, but it's far from the best option I'm pretty sure. I run clown EL crux + cloudstrike with Lunas and loaders and pump out a lot of damage. Just need start eater for the fatter nova.
I would love to see a version of this with Euphony/Semiotician vs Euphony/Crux to see how much surge matching a heavy to a special actually changes DPS.
Another combo I'd like to try but know might be more situational is using Hazardous Propulsion and then using a Slideshot Crux rocket with either Explosive Light or Surrounded and just see if it's possible to dump almost the entire reserve before the 10-sec buff runs out.

Yeah that’s what I wanna do. I don’t have slide shot. Is crux farmable on the lost sector rotates? I see world loot drops in lost sectors now. Lmk if you ever do that slide shot dps tho. Would love to see how it works
i do think you could go for something like clown or field prep or impulse amplifier instead of reconstruction to manually reload. you do have a whole 10 seconds to fire as much rocket as possible.
Crux gets slideshot sooooo dump those rockets then use cloudstrike rest of dps ez

If you don't have cloud strike, would Adored with Triple Tap and Vorpal or Albruna-d with the same perks be better? I also think an ikelos sniper is a good alternative to still hunt if you are running an exotic in another slot for some reason.
Ikelos is a good substitute but I would recommend grinding for Cloudstrike since it's a pretty good gun in general.
Just to check, I know the buff lasts 10 secs but in all three clips you left 6x exp rockets unfired for a while. Would you say the damage from those isn’t worth the time of the thruster animation?
If you have a class item with star eaters and eternal warrior could you get more damage out of it? Would need to be void weapons which is the only drawback
Just watched the aegis video and was plotting out how this would work. I keep forgetting about hazardous and was wanting to use wendi. I also just learned I delted my hothead with auto+EL... I dont even know how I did that.

This is really niche (and I'm still searching for this roll), but what would it look like with a class item that had spirit of the Eternal Warrior plus Star-Eater? Eternal Warrior gives a buff to weapon damage matching super type after super ends. So you could run it with an Edge Transit with bait and switch, or one with Explosive Light if there was a good energy void weapon to slot in there. There's nothing like Cloudstrike or Still Hunt, but maybe there's a rotation that makes sense?
What about BoW +navigator/12p? Obviously not viable on the witness but for bosses like herald etc how is it after the nerf?

Unrelated to the Titan thing, but I saw in the clip at the end (at 10:27) you didn’t jump as the Witness’ eyes glowed, but instead when the hands went forward. It looked like you didn’t need much air time and were able to start shooting again a lot quicker. Would you recommend this as an easier way to avoid that attack?
I would yes, but only if you're pretty confident in that fight. You don't even need to double jump, one regular jump is always enough it's just a matter of timing.
have you thought about doing an eternal warrior build with a void grenade launcher and sniper, see how it holds up?

PS: I guess with the new sniper Artifact mods, a Warlock will probably also have to use Still Hunt and Apex as the Hunters, but at much lower DPS :(

There is no over reaction, there is a clear gap in the Titan toolkit for range, Hunters and Warlocks have better ubiquitous damage options and literally every relevant team buffing build for a raid is a Warlock.
Are people wrong to point out Titan having less damage options? Are they wrong to wish for Bungie to lean more into the field commander power fantasy? Are they wrong to lament the state of Prismatic, Arc, Stasis and Void? I think not.
However, you absolutely can clear content no problem as a Titan, it's simply worst in class in a raid and that feels bad.
Prismatic titan isnt incredible but that doesnt make titan bad its still good and even consecration is insane u can solo nez and expli with consecration dps only and the amount of contest clears titans have is irrelevant such a bad argument@CaelanDylandy
titan was never bad for damage, survivability, etc. people got so doomer pilled because the contest raid boss wasn't specifically set up for titan despite the rest of the raid being their dream. Then massive idiots took a graph that only shows witness clears from the first 50 and extrapolated that to the entire game, misrepresenting what it said.
Perses-D can also get shoot to loot explosive payload

I'm farming for an eternal warrior+ star eater class Item I wonder how much difference that combo will make since I can give a 4x surge to edge transit and give a 3x surge to cloudstrike.
On both rotations you just dodged once i believe i would put on the fragment where you get more class ability recharge if you have a elemental buff and try to have 2 rockets after your dodge so you get the most of the hazardous rocket buff but hitting those numbers on that boss is very impressive

I was able to pull more damage by leaning into expanding abyss so, I utilized fugue 55 and edge and sprinkled in the hazardous damage. I got up to 5.2mil
Embraced Identity with Rewind High Ground is a great option in replace of the fugue for the Witness, definitely worth grabbing for a setup like that
I love the video its very begginer friendly. Although I do see that you took a lot of big parts from a nother content creator named Dato the destroyer of vaults. In his video he has the Same 2 builds you show and the same handcannon with shoot to loot. In his video he uses the still hunt rotation with apex which you also just use in the end of the video. I think you should at least credit him in the start of the video.
Star-Eater is great with Arsenal. And it has the added benefit that you are not tied to rockets.
swap from star eaters to hazardous is probably a good idea as well idk

I use the exotic class item with star eaters eternal warrior with leviathans breath. Super easy rotation and I hit about 7.5 mill on witness last week

Wouldn’t you be better off with a void heavy (Edge Transit) matching with a void sniper (father’s sin) to proc Expanding Abyss easily with a Star-Eater x6 Twilight Arsenal and have Eternal Warrior as 2nd exotic class item buff to further boost both ur void weapons? Have yet to try it but i’d say that its the best possible titan dps especially for burst. You could even have an exotic primary like Outbreak to make easy ammo and round out ur dps phase if push comes to shove. If possible i’d love to see someone with that exotic class item combo try that rotation. Cheers

You dont need suppressor grenade to weaken bosses if you are supering them with twilight arsenal as it weakens enemies.

The weaken only lasts about 6 seconds, you need to keep re-applying it

Bro you can swap Star Eater to Hazardous Propulsion right after the super, then start the rotation with Cloudstrike instead of rocket because 10 shots from Cloudstrike will get you full stacks.
Is Facet if Dominance needed if Twilight Arsenal already weakens?
If you weaken with the grenade, your first axe will do more damage. It's worth it

Void sniper/void rocket warrior ses?
I bet a Reconstruction/Bipod rocket would be best for Hazardous Propulsion because it makes best use of the damage buff. Four rockets, back-to-back, all at +35% damage. Go back to Still Hunt/Cloudstrike, dump the mag, and four rockets should loaded again.
FYI both Apex Predator (solar) and Crux Termination (arc) can roll with Reconstruction/Bipod, so you’ll be able to surge match Cloudstrike/Still Hunt accordingly.
Wouldn’t you be better on slideshot? Your buff has a timer and being able to rocket dump means you can get the best of it. Then once your reserves are out cloudstrike to do damage and build dodge rockets.

I thought they fixed the radiance issue.. is this video old? It now is supposed to override radiant unless other buffs give you more than the 35% dmg increase.

Still hunt is better when you have team mates making orders so you have the goldie perk up longer. Saw someone with this exact build last week drop 9mill at the witness.

The animation for arsenal takes ages, surely you have enough time to pop with star eaters and switch to hazardous during the animation, then get charged with cloud strike
