I have no idea why they bother to include the swords and just make a heavy weapon damage tests lol. They even stopped dps way before his shield went up and wiped when they clearly could have gotten way more damage with certain exotics. Black spindle test was kinda garbage too, missed half the headshots

Dragons breath is more meant to be used how anarchy is to get good damage, I know you already know that but some people might be new to the dungeon/raid experience
I was gonna say I'm pretty sure I've done more DMG w/ DB by shooting at a few different spots on the Chimera and not just in the mouth. I think it triggers more ignitions that way

I know the Anarchy test was just a stand-alone test for it being an exotic, but when used as intended with your entire loadout, my group one-phases every time, with Well and the solar debuff seasonal mod.
Man needs to learn to hit the reload button when his mags empty. Wastes so much time just standing there with an empty mag cuz he's just holding down the mouse1 and waiting for the game to reload for him.

After all of this testing, I gotta say, heir apparent sounds so satisfying with that wind up whistle. If it got even the slightest of a buff, i'd use it alot more often. Such a solid LMG with a THICC magazine.
Also, I find it funny that 1K isn't doing a higher damage value this season, granted that it's on theme with Riven. as opposed to Leviathan's breath. Still a solid pick.
It kind of has a buff via the artifact mode, hitting crits, getting radiant, then having Heir apply scorch on every bullet is pretty nice. Still not OP, but it’s nice.
This just gave me the hardest wave of nostalgia, reminds me of the dps tests against Calus on the Leviathan back in the day :)

Grand overture is underated. I dont see anyone talking about it but it can be really good and clearly better than every other exotic against this boss.

You didnt proc the WOTM catalyst perk, which is its whole damage basically. I was hitting close to 90k per shot with it (and only one solar surge) + radiance.

If you can hit the shots whisper is the best damage for this boss, but in terms of ease of use it's not gonna be a fun pick. However, you get that flinch nailed down, and it'll put in the work?
one reason you may be lagging behind the others on damage with weapons where it should be the same is that warlocks' weapons count as dealing ability damage while in their own wells of radiance, so that artifact perk which increases ability damage to scorn and taken enemies is buffing their weapon damage in this situation.
That would make a lot of sense actually lol
The good thing about Eyes of Tomorrow is that It can hit the eyes during the top end and last phase so It extends the phase and It also gains Adaptive ordenance, but beyond that on these cases It should be used as a one and done weapon, chaging then to a special or abilities

the damage part might be the mod on your artifact where you do less sometimes, there’s a seasonal one that lets you do more damage to scorn and taken, might not have it on
the boss fight is 1810 and some of your exotics were 1800 which might account for why Kree out damaged you a few times

For 2 Tailed fox with catlyst the jolting Rocket since ur using 3 it will only count 1 instance, so like your losing a lot of dmg by using all 3 at once

Idk man, seems kind of inconsistent in the testing. Some of your weapons get 20 seconds because you pre tether, some get less, I think prospector also only got 15 seconds of dmg phase.
This video seems like a good representation of an “average” damage run. Your damage is gonna differ between builds and how long you actually get for damage.
You still get a good idea of how different exotics compare to each other for damage.

So on the whisper you can avoid the flinch by using a bubble titan and putting it in front of your fire team to block the attacks

Yea whisper does slap when u can hit shots consistently. I got 3.5 million on an oryx clear, with one celestial nighthawk shot.
And it was suboptimal
Lmgs are simply the best option found. Bc of the amount of ammo and length of the fight. All that dmg don't matter if you use up all ammo in first floor. Target lock lmg will do same dmg as there exotics and only take one clip per floor
Thunderlord seems to be the go-to unless you have the ammo to run a fftc b&s linear, Thunderlord is just too good on ammo
Witherhord and void lmg is better🔥
just use rockets anyways with scout mods and you'll be fine in 99% of all activities
Retry Whisper after jumping up to the next platform for DPS. You will have zero Flinch because there isn't any ads. I use Whisper on this boss and the Harpy boss in Spire now.

You can shoot legend of acrius from the ground and still get full dmg, only jumping to proc trench barrel

You wouldn't have to deal with flinch with whisper as much if you didn't stand so far away from the boss 🗿, but for real sniper flinch it WAY too high
