What I like about Neuro-sama (aside from the most random things she would say, which is funny) is that the creator is there with her. Vedal isn't like Kwebbelflop having AI doing all the content, he's there streaming alongside her and actively playing games and tweaking her program. The "father-daughter" dynamic is what makes them so likeable.
That and vedal going "wtf did you just say?" And Neuro-sama proceeds to lie off her ass.

TLDR: Vedal is the programmer and the A.I. (Neuro-sama) is the program, thus the father-daughter relationship.
As far as i know, While he programmed the a.i. (I've heard it's based of an off the shelf model) and the movement of the vtuber model. He himself did not voice the vtuber. it is instead an off-the-shelf voice bank. (Don't quote me on this but this is basically what's happening afaik.)

@@jaybee4288 Are you saying you think it's an act an Neuro is a real person? If so, I can confidently say that's very far from the case, having made something very similar to it myself. Constructing something like Neuro is a very time consuming process, but it's something most programmers are capable of doing if they decide to actually spend the time doing it.

Neuro has been having a subathon recently, so that's been boosting viewership. Top female streamer tends to rotate between a popular titty streamer, ironmouse, or someone doing a subathon.
It's not just Neuro though, there is a lot of Vedal on his own. It's more of a duo channel really.
Its only a chart for the week people really shouldn't pay attention to it but it works for clickbait because people really clueless about these things and only see the "Most watched streamer"

I saw the "sister" AI for Camila using the AI that vedal set up for another Vtuber in another clip, and it was fairly aggressive about responding to voice in real-time. It seemed quite competent, but IDK if the clip edited out parts or if it's independent / set up like this to work long-term. It's kind of fascinating how advanced it's gotten in a year or two, not just the voice, but animation / sarcasm / jokes and banter, both recognising and reusing references from chat and voice.
Her response times got way better a while back, don't remember exactly when but searching "Neuro upgrades" should give you the video.
Should be within the past month or two.

I mentioned this in a reply elsewhere, but it's important to point out that Vedal has been live for 13 plus days straight for their subathon. So numbers are going to be skewed. Neuro and Vedal have been live MUCH LONGER than the rest of the streamers on this list have for that week. Still doesn't take away from it being an entertaining stream and his programming skills being impressive as hell, though.
50/50 other vtubers are also on a subathon and vedal started the subathon half a week late, but still you're right that the numbers are skewed cause of it, after all the average neuro stream only lasts 3-4 hours

What makes Neuro-sama interesting over all other "AI" junk is that it's not actually there to "make the content", it's there to bounce off Vedal, and sometimes the chat. Neuro isn't without problems either, and probably wouldn't have blown up if Vedal didn't have connections to other Vtubers who are generally "Okay" with Neuro existing.
But don't confuse what Neuro-sama is. LLM's don't understand anything they are talking about, and do not "Remember" anything not specifically given as an instruction in their initializing. They are basically told when they start up, who they are, who they know, and how to behave. To get Neuro to remember to call Filian "Filipino boy", Vedal had to include it, otherwise everything will be a one-off interaction after a few minutes.
Most of Neuro's most clippable content are things that actually break the TTS rather than the LLM.
He has actually implemented proper long term memory recently though.
@@LughLamhfhada0609Telling the initialization routine that "Filian's nickname is Filipino boy" is not long term memory. LLM's Have no long term memory. They are multi-dimensional auto-complete. It is possible to "refine" that LLM to remember things, but it won't learn anything on-stream, but that will freeze the LLM's knowledge in time, assuming Vedal is using a LLM that can be refined. Hence, if you were to ask Neuro something that happened yesterday, or about new Vtubers debuts, or who won the Vtuber awards, none of that would be possible to remember without expressly giving that information before the stream. Heck if you were to ask Neuro about the "earthquake in Japan", Neuro would undoubtedly give a response from 2011.
And this is part of the problem with using AI anywhere. That engagement you have with Neuro, is only in the moment, and Neuro will not remember it unless Vedal is sitting there and curating every interaction into the training refinement when Neuro is offline. Just handing the entire chat log and ASR transcript of the people Neuro "talked to" will just slowly make Neuro sound senile as those Neuro has the most interactions with are remembered, and everything else is discarded as it has low weighting.
