    In this video I show you how to easily create a wavy, stretched braid-out style on 4c hair. Unlike traditional braid-out methods, this one is quick and easy. You needn't fully detangle you hair for it to look decent either, which makes it a suitable fix for spontaneous invitations! This 10-minute braid out technique is advantageous in that it's so quick that you can stop caring about your hair getting wet during the day. Every night, just reset as shown and your hair will be predictably glamorous the next day! I hope you find this technique as useful as I do!

      D jeff hey thanks! I realised after the last video I filmed like this (I filmed them both on the same day) that it was distracting. In fact, a few subscribers commented to let me know. I had planned to do video-ception by featuring this video in the background of a future one and so on. However, based on the number of people who said they found it distracting, I shan't be doing this anymore. I hope you're not too disappointed! I appreciate your feedback! X

      Girl..I think it's pretty cool...what's the problem? I can't with people...always have something negative to say smh... I see video's with people kids running around in the background...family members popping in and out the video...your video's are put together very well! If they don't like your video's sister...they don't have to watch! Your video's...do what you want!

    I'm in the awkward stage of my hair growth. U mentioned that it's important to put your hair in protective styles and leave the hair alone. I want my hair to grow as long as yours. I have finally found a channel that tells me how to do that. I've been natural for 5 years now and my length is no where near the length u have. It's shoulder length stretched out, can u please give me some suggestions for some great protective styles? My hair dries quickly & easily. I would appreciate any other tips u may have.

    Hey Asha I love your videos and your lovely hair. I have been watching your vids for years on and of (mainly off because I get tired of researching and trying things to tame my hair). I would love if you give me some basic tips to get motivated; 1 how often do you suggest washing my hair? I was washing once a month but have increased to biweekly. 2 what is the best way to keep my hair on a regular basis? I was stretching and attempting up dos (not always flattering) for a week at a time pulling down post a week to moisturize and restyle. This causes lots or ware and tear to my hair and poses most damage but I don't it beats leaving it in an afro or puff everyday. Also I attempted to trust salons but they only over charge and leave my hair subpar for a few days then I'm left to care for it the rest of the month. Back on topic, 3 have you heard of protein sensitivity? I believe as a biologist you can touch on this subject because I don't find coconut oil to be very good for my hair, after about two applications my hair tends to be stiff and brittle, what might I substitute with? I was using castor oil to apply to my entire hair shaft when I was told (by a hair stylist) it is too strong of an oil for regular use on my entire head of hair. Now I am stuck and confused. HELP!!! PS if you have any suggestion outside of the questions I mentioned please share.

    • @NaturallyHigh
      @NaturallyHigh  Před 7 lety +1

      Gigillove I know what you mean but shrunken fros are cool too! What I meant was that you can reset your hair every night so you get a fresh start the next day. Maybe using a styler will help fight frizz if it's not your thing. X

    I love your hair and I noticed in the tv you are braiding from the roots I have to do that because my hair is so coily and kinky coming from my scalp that it is easier doing it that way. The halfyway point of my hair down to the tips isn't as bad to detangle. What are the name of the rollers you used I am tender headed and cannot sleep in rollers but I like the tiger ones you have.

  • @LunaMysteriax
    @LunaMysteriax Před 6 lety +1

    Does it take 10 minutes to set the hair or do you mean that it takes 10 minutes to take the braids down and style? If it is the latter, then how long does it take you to set your hair in braids? Your hair is so long and thick so I’m assuming you have to take time to smooth and braid as to not cause too much tension, tangles and knots?

    • @NaturallyHigh
      @NaturallyHigh  Před 6 lety

      It take 10 minutes to set the style and 1-2 minutes to take out in the morning. Watch the video. 😊

    • @LunaMysteriax
      @LunaMysteriax Před 6 lety

      Naturally High Oh no sorry for not being clear, I meant your first initial hair setting like after washing. In this video Your hair was already in a stretched state when doing this style, from an old twist out or braid so yes I understood that it only took a few minutes as demonstrated in this video.

    • @NaturallyHigh
      @NaturallyHigh  Před 7 lety

      Hey! I trim my own ends using the 'search and destroy' method any time I'm handling it. If the ends look bad i.e. they have single strand knots or split ends, I snip them off without hesitation. My strands are of average thickness.

  • @TriniGirlNatural
    @TriniGirlNatural Před 7 lety

    awesome video, I need to keep practicing. so it's the rollers that you think makes the difference?

    • @NaturallyHigh
      @NaturallyHigh  Před 7 lety +2

      Trini Girl Natural you'll get there! It's really simple and you don't have to follow any strict rules. Just don't always add hair. If you do that you make it easier to form separate curls (we have 4C hair so separating clumps isn't really an option). Using rollers on the ends prevents them from fraying and gives the style more volume. Sometimes I do the style without rollers but then my ends look straggly. X
