its funny you mentioned deltarune being made to be something different after undertale, but it actually was being made in tandem. in fact from how toby tells it, it sounds like deltarune was the original idea. Chapter 1 has the average play time of 1 hour if you're not looking for secrets and Chapter 2 has 2 hours of average play time. The rest of the chapters are said to be shorter than Chapter 2, so it seems like general total playtime will be around 10-15 hours.
@@Turbulation1 That's if you literally go over most of the content in the game or dont get stuck on any boss, if you actually go for all the content and secrets it will probably be around 40-50 hours.
Probably longer, if you’re like me and you like to go through every last thing and every route, it took me 20 hours to go through the WHOLE two chapters.

I don't see a lot of reviews mention this, but I love that Deltarune chapter 2 introduced the ability to ACT as party members other than Kris. In chapter 1, ACTing could only be done during Kris' turn, so if you couldn't spare the enemy right away, there wasn't a lot you could do with your other party members besides defending. This inclusion makes the combat a lot more dynamic.
Deltarune is Persona 5. Let me explain In Persona 5 there exists an alternate reality called the metaverse, it's the cognitive thoughts of all of humanity jumbled into one. It can only be accessed via an app that appears when you get a persona. When someone's cognition of themselves (shadow) dies in the metaverse, they suffer a mental shutdown in the real world and die. This is what happens to Berdly in Snowgrave, Noelle kills him in the Dark World, and he suffers a mental break irl, and dies. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

Pretty sure Toby will keep note of them after all for future chapters ^^ Also I just found it so funny how even if we want to maintain an analysis as straightforward spoiler-free as possible, it's hard not to delve into the amount of freaking details or straight up just start theorizing on the spot lol
i literally killed sans first try on my yearly genocide playthrough, then watched this video not knowing it existed when i did the deed of brutally killing every monster in the underground
I DishragNoz, was not featured in a Danerade Production. This is not surprising whatsoever, as I had never even heard of this dude until I saw this video.
The only thing Ive come to dislike about Undertale is that sparing monsters gets very very VERY uninteresting. And the Genocide run is a tedious mess at times. I've reached a point where I don't wanna do either. I think a bit more uniqueness and a tad bjt of randomization in the way you spare monsters might help keep a Pacifist run fresh.
Actually, fun fact, Kris is an anagram of Risk, not Frisk. But I just love these 2 games (and no, I haven't beaten genocide in Undertale yet, blame Sans) and the amazing characters! Susie said "Your choices don't matter." Hahaha, I laugh because snowgrave where you freeze a certain blue bird, killing him, and then you have to make your way to Spamton NEO for the final battle =)
@@mr.preston1632 I do think it is weird, however Chapter 2’s end leads me to believe that Kris is fighting against evil inside him and the final boss in a pacifist run will be against Kris’s evil self
@@DJBendytheFox I disagree, Kris is most certainly just ripping out their heart because thats you controlling them, they haven’t displayed being evil, the only thing we can expect them of being evil is opening the dark fountain, even then it was because susie mentioned we should get the people from the dark world to the real world, he wanted to live happily in the dark world but knows he can’t stay long there so he makes it so his entire house and some of his mom’s car

If Kris goes down Berdly will try to get Noelle to go to him and Noelle says “I can still hear their voice…” meaning that Kris wasn’t in control to begin with. It’s us. We are controlling Kris to kill. We are commanding to kill and get stronger. Also in a SnowGrave route after a certain point it says “Level 2 Leader. Commands.” We force Noelle to get that Freeze Ring. We force Noelle to freeze everyone so they cannot escape. We force Noelle to kill Berdly. That’s why I’m sure of it.
I feel like deltarune is the new among us in terms of so much god damn memes and posts about it, and sure, it’s a lot higher quality that among us but both get quick burnout because of the increase in popularity. Good video tho
