  • The 10 minute extension was too short for how long I think, and that's what this music helps me do, it might be eerie sounding but it helps me nonetheless, it's also my favourite scene from any Star Wars Movie, I'll talk about it more in the comments if you want me too.
This is also good to have uploaded while I continue to work on my upcoming Battlefront 2 video, that's gonna be a doozey, on top of that I've got loads of other work going on too so it's gonna be a long while before that comes out, thought I might as well do something that either hasn't been done yet, or something that has been done but the videos were taken down.

The first time watching Revenge of the Sith... What an experience. I watched Star Wars in chronological order and I didn't know what would happen to Anakin, so I was heartbroken after watching it. When I saw this scene, with this piece in the background I thought it was over for Anakin, for Padmé and Obi-Wan and for the Republic. I still had a bit of hope, but only when the mask got attached to Anakin's head I knew there was no going back.

@@jamalel-sayed5196 I respectfully disagree. I already knew the twist of Vader being Luke's father before watching any of the Star Wars movies, because it's a very well-known twist in movie history.
But I didn't know Anakin would become Darth Vader, that was a more interesting twist IMO. Because I would never expect the hero to turn to the dark side.
But it was still interesting to see the 'I am your father' scene. You know who he is, but Luke doesn't know. It was interesting to see how Luke's journey would go after that revelation.

This song doesnt just show the turmoil that Anakin is going through, trying to have faith in the Jedi despite the growing power that is the darkness of Vader within him, it doesn't just show how worried Padme is for her husband and the future.
It shows the final day of the Republic, of the Jedi, and of Anakin. You can even see, based on the genius photography, the light fading as Anakin begins to fade away, and Vader takes his first strong foothold. That the Republic would soon be no more, and that the Jedi, as they have been known, are at their end.
For now, at least, at this exact moment, hope would fade away. The light would slink away to the one within Padme, as Anakin would not be seen again until onboard the second Death Star to save his son.

All I see when I hear this is Battlefront 2005's levels all silent and menacing, after all the AI have shot themselves to death and I'm all that's left, waging a one-man guerilla campaign against what is sometimes over a hundred enemies. With the quieted combat FX in the background, explosions in the air as JPEG craft zoom around engaging in nonexistent combat.

John Williams, the composer of the most heartbreaking masterpiece in cinema's history (Schindler's List), couldn't but create a soundtrack which justifies why this movie is the darkest and most emotional Star Wars' film.
It's Anakin Skywalker's slow death, the good, kind man and the best of the Jedi slowly consumed by the Dark Side and Padmé sensed it. He learned the light and now he must experience the darkness, there was no other way to bring the balance.

Great way of putting it. It’s sad, Anakin at the time of ROTS just wanted to have a normal life with his family after the war was over, but the will of the force demanded the path for the second half of his life be alone, cold, painful, locked in the dark. This piece perfectly encapsulates what can be interpreted as the Dark Side itself creeping up behind Anakin like the Grim Reaper coming to collect his due.

This is easily one of my all time favourite pieces in Star Wars. Williams has some serious balls for making something so different, and I'm grateful for it. It perfectly captures the moment and the emotions Anakin is experiencing. He is being torn apart, though this time his decision will quite literally change the fate of the galaxy. He either saves the love of his life but falls to the dark side, or exposes Palpatine to the Jedi and loses Padme. Truly chilling music.
If you've ever played the Krome Studios version of Star Wars the Force Unleashed (Wii, PS2 and PSP) , these feelings are probably even more potent for you. The decision to have this play during your entire journey throughout the remains of the now ruined Jedi Temple is brilliant, with the only other sounds being distant blaster fire and the occasional scream of a stormtrooper. You really feel like an invader, like you're trespassing on sacred ground with more history than you'll probably ever know. If you've never played or seen this version of The Force Unleashed, I really encourage to play it, it's such a far cry from the more mainstream version of TFU, and honestly, apart from visually, I think it's actually better. If you can't play it, I'd at least watch it.

She could feel the pain in my heart for her and our baby's life. She worried in her eye, wondering what's wrong. I wanted to scream to the galaxy, Everything... Everything hurts. I couldn't wait... There was no guarantee that she would live. If I guaranteed that I could save her from my nightmares, I can save her. I am not a God falling from grace. I am becoming God. Ah, the first Jedi Temple mission in The Force Unleashed.
It was so fascinating to walk through the corridors and debris of the destroyed Jedi Temple, all in ruins and semi-abandoned.
The place felt like a haunted palace, but also a like a quiet cemetery.
Knowing what we know now because of "Revenge of the Sith", this was where the Jedi made their final stand, yet it was more of a massacre rather than a battle, and all that's left of that tragic event is this quiet and forsaken fragment of the aftermath.
By looking at the wreckage, you could picture scenes of clone troopers gunning down everyone in their path, from desperate masters trying to defend the temple and their fellow jedi, to frightened young padawans, all of them slayed by Anakin, who was already Vader then.
As for Starkiller (the apprentice of Vader and the character we play as), he could have taken pride over knowing his master destroyed every Jedi with relative ease, but he may have also felt a deep respect and even more fear towards his master.
And this music makes a great addition to the ambience and context.
To me, this is why "The Force Unleashed", is such an underrated game and experience.

I used to live in an Arabian country myself, although I eventually had to move it is more or less the place I call my real home but I never appreciated it at the time.
I was born and raised there, perhaps due to how I was treated by many other kids sub consciously I was extremely angry and had a short fuse, thinking back the levels of anger I had back then reached bloodthirsty levels which wasn't a good thing for a kid who was absurdly strong by nature, other kids were incapable of harming me despite how they treated me but I think my sub conscious recognised how nasty they were being and in turn it made me want to fight people all the time.
As much as I missed my home overall I was treated much better after I moved, because of that I no longer feel the same anger or want to fight, I am good enough at socialising to know how to avoid all conflict and actively do so.
I spent a fair few sunsets in my bedroom reflecting on things, usually when I threw a tantrum for whatever reason I was sent upstairs, I would destroy all I could and generally be a menace in the time I spent up there, after destroying precious memories and souvenirs as though they were nothing I was left with the sunset.
When I was younger I hated sunsets and I think these experiences might be why, nowadays I adore sunsets, it's my favourite time of day and sometimes reminds me of old times, it wasn't all doom and gloom in my home country, I had good friends and we often went to water parks and beaches, those were the good sunsets.
The sub conscious is smarter than we think, and dangerous depending on what it decides our coping mechanisms should be.

    • @VibingMeike
      @VibingMeike Před 3 lety +13

Okay this is probably gonna be a long and messy comment sorry lol. And maybe you already know all of this, but still...
Two of the biggest reasons were
      1. Misunderstanding, a lot of creative choices didn't please the fans (Darth Vader being a kid and later a teenager and Yoda's characterization). And it's okay if you don't like those choices. BUT there is a difference between you not liking it and it being an objective flaw in the story. And there is a difference between not understanding it, and trying to say that George Lucas doesn't understand it. Many people did the second thing...
This has also happened with the acting, dialogue, CGI, etc. Why did George Lucas let the actors act that way? Why is the dialogue the way it is? Why is there lots of CGI? The answer for many people was: George Lucas lost his mind!1!1!! They never tried to understand WHY George Lucas did it his way... But wait, that is the problem right there! George Lucas didn't make the movies as *I* would have wanted it!1!1! That was what many fans said... And I'm not saying in any way that that automatically makes the movies masterpieces, but the problem that a lot of fans ran into is that they didn't even want to think about why George Lucas did the things he did and they just assumed that he lost his mind, because Lucas didn't do the things they wanted him to do.
The second part is partly about the Prequels and partially about George Lucas.
      2. Lots and lots of misinformation: a lot of things about George Lucas are repeated but are wrong, the two most obvious ones are: ANH was saved in the edit and George Lucas was surrounded by yes-men during the making of the Prequels. Both are wrong and I can prove it. Some people drive the narrative that the Originals were good IN SPITE of Lucas, and that the Prequels were bad because he had 'too much control'. Most of the people that say these kind of things are misinformed, sadly those things happen, and those things are easily repeated, and repeated., and repeated... Over and over again.
ANH had to be 'saved in the edit' , or it had to be 'saved from Lucas'. Literally EVERY film needs to be edited, maybe for like 2, 3 or even more times, it was edited to be more in line with what he wanted. Or some other people say that people like Marcia Lucas where the ones who did something with the film. Some people will praise everyone BUT the creator for the fact that ANH was such a succes. Also, Lucas took considerable part in the editing as well, like many scenes with the droids on Tatooine.
The yes-men thing is very untrue. Many of the ideas present in the prequels were pitched by his team. For instance, Jar Jar and Yoda being completely CGI, and pretty much everything about Grievous' design. He also was constantly challenged on set and would often tell people to talk to someone else, including Spielberg who worked on Episode III. That said, he still had the final say, and they were his films he independently financed. But that isn't a bad thing IMO, but feel free to disagree on that part if you disagree.
Again, sorry if this comment was too long and a bit messy.
I also recommend watching this detailed and really in-depth video about George Lucas and the Prequels:
      czcams.com/video/vqnjzVX8EKA/video.html
It's a long video, but I really recommend it for every Star Wars fan.

@@VibingMeike oh wait one thing: lucas is basically as involved with TCW as he is with the prequels, and because people like TCW they say filoni made it completely, which he really did not, sure he was also heavily involved but some youtube video i watched literally fucking said that the show wasn't made by lucas, or people who liked the prequels they made some shit point about all the TCW hating the prequels, idk what they were on and where tf that evidence was from, because it sure wasn't a true form of evidence, but lets be real they made it up anyway yeah filoni and the team, well most of them anyway (the rest haven't stated any opinions on the prequels) have said they at least liked the prequels and filoni is a massive prequel fan, i'm happy to see people like you as i can tell you wouldn't make bullshit up like that

Reminds me of Zimmer's music for Hannibal and Batman Begins, specifically “Lasiurus” from Batman Begins.

Have you ever just sat there and thought about how you would do anything for someone?
Then the Jedi Order isn't for you. This isn't water polo, kids.

Before he was Vader he was a young man who lost his mother in his arms who fell in love with Padme. The father of Leia and Luke, and it took the evil of Palpatine to manipulate and use Anakin when he was vulnerable. Explaining nonsense to him making him out to be something he clearly was not, and it twisted his judgement. The man lost his mother, his wife and his children were taken from him talk about losing everything.

This reminds me of the prophecy song from dune ... which is crazy because the original dune books helped inspire George Lucas ... in a way the sleeper has woken

If the scene was this long, Windu would've finished off Palpatine by the half way mark and Order 66 would have been avoided....

This is the alternate reality where Anakin was indecisive and never got his thoughts in order, Mace Windu killed Palpatine, came back and Anakin was given the rank of master.
Padme goes on to survive childbirth and the galaxy remains at peace.

This movie was truly sad. Because of one persons decision , it destroyed his own marriage and the entire Jedi existence. Truly one of the saddest movies in my opinion. Life lesson, look at your life and be careful what you chose to do with your life. Make good decisions and know GOOD AND EVIL exists! It just depends on which we elect to choose, GOD or the DEVIL.

Maybe the track should have been called setting sun, death, or destiny approaches. It is the sound of the end of the Republic, the Jedi, and the life of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, both die. Difference is Anakin’s body becomes more of a possessed corpse with nearly pure evil being it’s possessor.
