- Grom fatherz newly swapped 450 Grom sets new record on its first outing. Ridden by Chip Ellis on a stock 450 motor. Previous record for a 450 swap was held by Bill Lutz 450 swapped Z125 ridden by Jeremy Teasley at a 7.4. Bill has a new swapped Grom and I am sure the competition will be heating up soon! Damn 6.90 is high tens low elevens in the 1/4! That’s impressive!
Bike has been low 6s since. Our 300 swaps have been mid 6s and we just made 20 more hp on them. Should be chasing a 5 now.

What is the engine you used for the grom? Crf 450?

I'm pretty sure Honda has never built a CR450, and I'm more then 100% sure this is not a two stroke engine.

Haven’t had it to a quarter mile track yet, on a druggie pass that was a 7.3 in the eighth it went a low 11 tuning it.
