  • One of two fairly new songs recorded for the "This Feelin'" album (in 1982), along with "Goin' Down To The River" (already posted), from a Seattle cable access TV show. I played this song at a songwriter workshop hosted by my musical hero Peter Rowan at the Tumwater Bluegrass Festival late in that event, and afterwards Peter said "Well, that's about all there is to say!" and ended the workshop. After he told me I should end the song on the chorus ("turn my life into a song") instead of the wistful "some like to sing about trains" ending of the first verse. I told him he was probably right, but I'd already recorded it for the album.

You on harp? How cute you looked!

I'll take it! Cute isn't what I was going for, but I played harp a bunch on my solo gigs. It's on "This Feelin'" also, and on many of the songs on that LP.
