I was at this game in Stanford, CA. Cameroon didn’t have the 1990 magic but still got to see the great Roger Meuller play and the eventual World Cup Champs.

Dunga foi vítima do estereótipo da imprensa,jogava muito...essa era a ERA DUNGA.. marcação e ótimo passes.
E o Jorginho foi muito melhor que o Cafu, mas o Cafu teve uma carreira mais vitoriosa.

Cameroon were a Physical team as always. In 1994, they can't get even near enough to Romario never mind foul him. His close control is second to none and his acceleration near the penalty box was uncatchable.
He makes it look so easy but that first goal is genius
Everyone talks about Romario but I think that the unsung hero is number 2, Jorginho. He's one of the most accurate passer/crosser in soccer history.

94/98 Brazil under Mario Zagallo were amazing teams, great generation. The 2002 one was also good but their funding was on the 1998 one and lacked the magic which 94/98 teams had.

@Nome Cognome Anyway, 2002 team did not have some key star players like Elber, Jardel, Romario, Amoruso, Ze Roberto. But they had Edilson and Luizao. Brazil was lucky that teams like France and Argentina failed in group stage.

Today I got a shirt from the goodwill bins with the 94 Cameroon team road to the World Cup on it and it is singed by a Cameroon player named Tataw Stephen i guess he was the team captain of the team that year for what I know, and it was singed to a Bill, and he probably thought it was time to let go of it, I’m glad it in my possession now I just feel it’s nice to have a piece of World Cup history and it would’ve been an amazing time to watch soccer live
