I love Daniel idc how grumpy he is 😂 I just adore his presence & comebacks…how he pushes these Vamps even though he feels his life is on the line
Daniel is the motto " if I die at least I will die as a honest man"
I love Lestat, but the trio Daniel Louis & Armand is my absolute favorite and Danny is my boy. Also, I was not expecting to be so taken with Armand's character.

I love what this show has done with Santiago. He's fleshed out a lot more, and you can't take your eyes off of the actor. He's fabulous.
It's crazy how the woman they sacrificed, Annika, was played by the director's assistant ! She's actually primarily an actress and her name is Sinead Phelps. Her acting was impeccable, she did a great job !

every single one of these actors is so so incredible!!! i can't wait for you guys to watch the rest of the season
Fun fact, besides the fact that obviously theatre is a big part of this season, from the props to staging, most of the cast are theatre kids themselves. Ben Daniels (Santiago), Delainey Hayles (Claudia) and Assad Zaman (Armand), they all have been in theatre plays before they were on TV, even some of the Vampire Coven are real life stage actors that they got exclusively to be a part of the show, so the acting range on this season is absolutely nuts. I think you'll see it more in episode 5, arguably the best episode until now, where the acting and staging makes it feel like a live play.
Yeah, the bottle episode in this season, episode 5, is just three british theater actors bouncing off of each other the entire time and it's absolutely captivating!
British actors tend to be theatre kids. I don't know many who hadn't started in or done a lot of theatre

I believe Louis suggests that the story is bringing up that memory, or trigger as he says, in Daniel's mind and they're quick to point it out to him to rattle him.
I really do miss lestat man anytime hes on screen he just draws you in with the acting literally everybody on this show are great actors Santiago is already standing out for sure loving teh reactions
The Theatre is such a cool setting, and these new vamps are so interesting, especially Santiago. Loving the reactions to this series.
The vampire telepathy is a conscious thing, they have be actively trying to read a mind to hear anything(focus is required)
Also, I remember Lestat saying that he was the one who could reach people really far away. At that point I believe we've only seen Louis and Claudia do the telepathy thing with someone immediately close. I think they're not quite there yet to scope an entire city's thoughts looking for an answer from a vampire.

Completely relate to your wish for more Lestat (he's my fave, what can I say?) - but there's no denying the sparing use of his appearances does make me yearn for a reunion between him and Louis even more! Santiago and Armand are great additions this season, and I think Delainey kills it as Claudia too! Really appreciate the genuine investment and enjoyment you exude in your reactions - it's refreshing! Great job!

Be sure to check it out someday, when y'all are in the mood for the sweetest gay coming-of-age tale from the era. And it's not just focused on the lovebirds, it includes the parents and neighbors.
I literally watched that again the other day and had no idea it was him until I was looking up all the actors in the film 😅

I like this new claudia, but she feels different from the original one. I still lowkey miss her.
The original one had a youthful/innocent spark in her eyes and acting. It worked better with Claudia being “young” but old that i think this new actress doesn’t fully convey

I wonder if we will ever get the true story. Louis is unreliable in his version. There are parts he either doesn't remember or is lying about.

Lestat told the truth about his maker and the abuse his father did to him. Louis is not a reliable source of what happened in the past. Also this Louis is more arrogant and cruel than I remember from the book. Ben Price is the actor who plays Santiago and he is an incredible actor. Still can't stand Claudia. Daniel is having flashes of what happened back in 1973.
The stories are real its just that Louis kinda pushed aside all the traumatic memories and details

And so I guess Zuff didn't want to watch season 1 to catch up before they started season 2 (which is valid hecan do what he wants, you know? he doesn't have to watch every single show or movie that they watch on the channel if it doesn't interest him) ... And so they've also started season 2 without him.
He was sick last week as well, that's why they started season 2 of this and baby reindeer and took a break from peaky blinders.
Don’t trust anything that Armand says, he is a liar and a manipulator. He was obsessed with Lestat and all of his motivations come from that. Also, Louis is a very unreliable narrator.
